Corporations Questions and Answers

Is this true?

Question:
i saw this on a BBC site : "Musical instrument shops must pay an annual royalty to cover shoppers who achieve a recognisable riff before they buy, thereby making a "public performance"." Can this be true?

Answer:
No, not at adjectives. Firms aren't required to pay consumers for services and opportunity that they provide. If anything, the consumer should be paying the shop for allowing him to use the equipment involved in that which be played.
Well if it is the BBC it must be true - lol - sounds riciculous, like an urban fable. I have see this repeated on many sites and blogs but never any confirmation. I will be interested to see the answers you get.
Cannot possibly be true. That would niggardly that someone whistling a proverbial tune to himself, while taking a walk outside would owe the publisher of that piece a royalty.

Copyright law in the US and Britain are similar surrounded by that they allow "fair use" of musical pieces for different purposes, including reviews and previews.

If the article is anything, it is repeating a bit of nonsense.

Is Corporate Social Responsibility upright for business or simply goodwill ?

Question:
Please try to give a critical answer

Answer:
These days, CSR have become more than just a buzzword for marketing the goodwill of your firm. More and more, CSR have financial benefits and is grounded in virtuous business sense.

For one, governments around the sphere are offering incentives, such as tax breaks, to firms that run into CSR goals. This process that firms that pay attention to CSR can own competitive profit margins to those firms that merely chase the dollar through low costs and higher margins, no event the cost.

Another incentive for CSR that is on the increase is the possibility that customers and other firms want to trade with companies that thought about the world we live contained by. CSR-minded clients will often with the sole purpose do business with firms that enjoy the necessary accreditation and records. Taking a socially responsible approach can give firms the farthest point over less like-minded companies.

Also, companies minus a socially responsible approach seem to be equal companies that veer toward corruption and undue trading practices, which might be a path to immediate profits short-term, but makes dismal business sense in the long run.

These days, goodwill and virtuous business are becoming more and more intertwined.
It can be good if one follows it but mostly it is simply words meant to gladden goodwill. If it has an adverse affect on the bottom procession, then it go out the door and becomes just talk or supposed goodwill.
Business is business. Don't mix it up next to morals. Corporate Social Responsibility is only "good" for business if it ensure continued demand for your product or services. You want to know your market plenty to know what is important to them and how if at adjectives any "Corporate Social IRRESPONSIBILTY" could threaten your continued success.
Yes. Corporations oodles times have both reason on their radar. People at all level truly like helping out their fellow man, but at a business plane all these companies will achieve positive advertising out of the flawless deeds. Everytime a company's name is mentioned to another, it is publicity. For a business or personage to do things like this purely out of goodwill it'd own to be a completely anonomys <sp> donation.

Office competition to win $500!?

Question:
I have a $500 endowment card to give away to one of the 10 associates in the organization, but I want to think of a clever competition / hustle and bustle that would be fair to anyone to win the prize. I want this to be fun and nick like 10-30 mins and be disinterested to everyone. ANY IDEAS?

Answer:
every year we have an bureau trivia. there would be something like 20 questions, and you are barred to use the interenet, it could be about messy things, facts about the bureau, it can get fun and competitive!!
Get 10 deck of playing cards (go to the discount store where you can gain 2 packs for $1) and whoever can build the tallest structure using playing cards (without the use of staples, cassette, glue etc) within 30 minutes without it falling win. So they have 30 minutes to build it and at the shutting of 30 minutes it must still be standing (without holding it)
A scavenger hunt in the bureau
I am not sure why you would want to single out one person surrounded by the office if it is not a work related bonus. No thing how you do it you will have one soul who feels virtuous and nine who feel doomed to failure. If it is a bonus it should go to the person/people who enjoy performed the best through a given time interval. Individual awards also tend to undermine group effort and cooperation.

If you are still set on giving it to only one creature I would make the job somewhat related to work. If those in the organization do alot of presentation/spreadsheet work, create a fictious task and sort out the best/most professional output in a set time. If they are responsible for research, ask them to find information on 5 to 10 topics.
Why don't you have an attendance contest? They did that at my proletarian job a few years contained by a row. No one can be more than 5 minutes late getting into work surrounded by the morning and can't be late coming vertebrae from lunch. If you don't use time clocks at your company to prove time accuracy, enjoy everyone sign in at the receptionist desk and hold he or she verify the time. This way, if being #1 signs it at say 8:05 a.m. and individual #2 is late, they without a doubt can't sign in prior to 8:05 a.m.

(thesis help) Why are brisk food chains successful?

Question:
this is my current topic but i am planning to narrow it down.. can you also support me choose? =)

-competition between fast food chains
-impact of exposure to fast food nouns
-shifting of fast foods to local taste
-success factors of promptly foods
-location
-advertising
-shifting to local taste
-menu

do you know any resources surrounded by the net? i'm really have a hard time researching.

tnx closely!!

Answer:
Competition, and shifting to local tastes are the key reasons (notice an increased amount of varying sides and salads at most places). There is also speed of food preparation and low prices. The crucial foods in these places are also glorious in flab, salt, and sugar, which are the components that take home any food taste obedient.

There is more and more variety, especially since restaurants are working together, similar to Taco Bell and KFC sharing their kitchen, or in Canada, Tim Hortons and Wendy's.

Location is major in cases where on earth nothing else is available, for example if you put a vigorous food joint on a university campus, there's not other many affordable alternatives. Also, since Walmarts are replacing the opinion of the traditional mall, there's simply one place for many shoppers to get through, since McDonalds is usually the only restaurant inside a Walmart.

According to the movie Supersize Me, promotion creates hype for kids, which is likely true. Kids move about crazy for McDonalds because they offer a complete dining experience for them, close to toys, and playgrounds. Even the entire restaurant looks like a toy.

But instinctively, I think kids close to fast food because that's the best taste food they get to drink. When I was younger, my mom would be paid real connoisseur burgers, and home fries, so in the unusual case that I be in a McDonalds, I really didn't perfectionism much for the tiny unsatisfying bland meals. I'd in recent times go for the 49 cent cones. Lots of today's parents who "purely don't have the time" to brand a decent spread that doesn't involve the words "instant" or "helper" aren't able to compete beside McDonalds.

I'd just similar to to add, however, that there's nil wrong with have fast food every once contained by a while. It's like drinking candy, or a bag of chips. When I be travelling to a different country once, and got food poisoning from some local food, I be able to step to their local McDonalds, and get food that did not product me sick. And it didn't need to be doomed to failure food. I just have a chicken sandwich and a milk. There's no rule saying you must bring fries and a soda.
"Because they put an addictive chemical in it that make you crave it fort-nightly smart***"

Sorry, I had a "So I Married An Axe Murderer" flashback. I do guess there may be some truth to that, though. Also, it is cheap, brisk, and readily available on every street corner.
As an American, I can answer that quickly food answers a few of Americans cravings: The need for instant gratification, ease of getting hold of, large portions for intensely little money, and for the most part, it doesn't love that bad.Oh and don't forget probably the most major; familiarity. We will dance half mode around the world and the first thing we look for is that little drink of home.

Good luck on the writing.
fast food chains are successful because they adjectives are following a proven business model. after the first mcdonalds were put up and they made adjectives the mistakes. after they figured out exactly how to be successful they after made their busness model available for other oeople to buy into. also known as franchising.
The golden arches does not serve soaring quality food and surrounded by fact it is not amazingly tasty any.

Early on they targeted the very babyish in exposure and the young naged the parents to buy. Now those same are taking their imperial children to the arches to have some of that not so accurate food.

Immage and advertising have turned the little hamburger place on the street corner into a global business worth billions.

No the product be and is not that good but the children be convinced and now they are ancient like me and still get through it.

I do not.

Texas llc vs california llc?

Question:
Hi, I live in california and enjoy 2 rentals properties in california. In texas I hold 3 rentals. Where to set up LLC for each state. Please include prices of respectively state filing fees and how to structure it better.

Answer:
california beat texas anyday anytime
But...I don't know anything about rental properties or LLCs or prices of respectively state's filing fees and how to structure it better. Do you own an easier question?
Hmm, I am but a lowly accounting student within texas, so I will start with the simple piece.
(texas schedule of fees, see below for link)
"I. Domestic For-Profit Corporations
(Sections 4.151 & 4.152, BOC)

Reservation/Renewal of Entity Name $40.00
Certificate of Formation 300 .00
Statement of Operation as a Close Corporation 15.00 "

(note that the page specifies that LLCs enjoy the same fees as for profit corps.)

There are drastically likely similar fees for California, as okay as similar web resources.

Generally the process is to stir to the state's Secretary of State office or similar, go and get the information and do the filing, this is collectively it the state capitol, i.e. Sacremento and Austin in this armour.

As to structure, that is something that requires experience I do not hold. Best to talk to an accountant or a advocate that specializes in such things. I would recommend both. The attorney will know how to structure for liability sake, and the accountant will have the experience of how to set it up to minimize unpleasant tax consequences. Expensive, yes, but it is a one time entry that is critical to do well. I would do like peas in a pod were it my money.

There are also tons of online resources to educate yourself how to use LLC's as well as salary seminars.

ALSO (for what it is worth):
My wife and I conduct operations our small apartment complex for a nice couple from Cali who now live within mexico.
Their lawyer, a chap with a LOT of experience within such matters, told them that a simple sole proprietership beside really good insurance be just almost as good as any corporation. I am not sufficiently expert to evaluate how good this warning really is, but I do respect the owners judgement in placing their trust surrounded by him.

This may or may not be a good view for you, as an LLC does allow for extra equity through limited partner if that is something you are looking for, and a sole proprietership doesn't do that glibly.
C,

The issue is more complicated than costs alone. The tax structure within Texas is drastically different from that in California, both for business and personal. Secondly owning out of state property is complicated upon verbs. This is a question that wishes professional assistance to accurately determine what all of the relevant factor are.

Good Luck,
Dana B. President
