Share Options?
Question:
I have be offered a job (they asked me) and after coming to an agrement on wage I also said I would close to some kind of bonus/incentive sceme. I own heard nearly share options but know nought about them or how it works... Any warning (or alternative suggestions)?
Answer:
To get stock option, your company would need to be a publically-traded company. If it is, look it up on the SEC's website (link below). Find it's most modern 10-K filing (annual report), and look at the exhibit inventory at the end of the report. Look for their stock choice plan. The stock option plan should own been file with a previous SEC file, which would be noted in the exhibit inventory. Then look up that filing, and find the stock route plan exhibit. This will tell you how that precise company's plan is set up, how the price for stock options is set, and across the world, how much flexibility the company has surrounded by setting the vesting periods, expiration date, etc.
Stock options work similar to this: the company agrees to issue a certain number of shares of stock to you at a set price. That price is usually base on the current market price (in a methodology surrounded by accordance with the stock preference plan). Depending on their plan or what is customary for them, the shares might vest immediately or might vest according to a spot on schedule. They also own an expiration date, such as 10 years.
To exercise the vested options, you would remuneration the company the set price for the shares. You could also do a "cashless exercise," where you buy and vend the stock all at once so that you do not own to come up with the lolly to buy the stock. Your stock broker can assist you with this. You would lone exercise the options if the marketplace price were high than your option price, because the view is to buy at the low option price and deal in at the higher open market price. You get to keep hold of the difference, minus withholding taxes.
With stock options you might procure nothing, or you might bring millions. It's a real have a flutter.
Dear friend choose the right company to invest your money or choose the best stocks...
You are granted the ability to purchase shares surrounded by the company at a future date (usually 3 years) at a discount (typically 15% or so) past its sell-by date of the lower of the share price on the date of the grant or the date that you can first exercise the option. If the company stock goes up during the vesting extent, the gain you can get can be rather substantial.
The spread between the stock price on the date of exercise and the option price is taxable to you as compensation, and is subject to withholding. Therefore, if you exercise and hold the stock, you will be required to cut your employer a check for the withholding amount and the exercise price of the stock. Some employee's will do a same hours of daylight sale of the stock (they exercise the option and then trade them right away) so they can get their profit and own the taxes covered. Or if the stock is in a growth trend and you want to hold the stock, but don't hold the funds to pay for the withholding, you can other sell simply enough shares to cover the price of the stock and the withholding.

If your calling the store stop that will not solve your trouble. You need to telephone 1800 469-4663.
I use to work for sears. Their policy is if they can't repair it they will replace it. Keep up you MA or PA policy. Talk to a service supervisor. Be persistent do not lose your cool. Let them know that you may never shop at sear again!
Keep the service tech coming out if he gets tired of coming out he may only tell them he can't fix it afterwards they will bring out a new one. As long as you hold service policy they have to save coming out.
Good Luck
it should be on there website if that doesent contact managment or look up sear corporate through the internet
My experience is that you trying to contact corporate executives is a poor choice. They cannot personally business with hundreds of effective details. At best your request will get passed on to someone who deal in appliance service. You are much more predictable to get some sustain by speaking to the manager of the Sear retail store where on earth you shop.
Why don't you do yourself a favor and buy another $200 machine at another retailer and forget in the region of it?
It's already costly enough for adjectives the users at RunEye.com to waste our time beside your question but to refuse the time of a CEO over $200 is just insane!
I will abet you for FREE with some stock tips (I am a Portfolio Manager) until you label $400 in profits so you can buy a bright machine and forget in the order of the whole article.

'Revenue' and 'Operating Income' ?
Question:
What is the difference between 'Revenue' and 'Operating Income' as shown here -
http://corporate.disney.go.com/investors... (bottom right) ?
Answer:
Boy, great query. I'm not in nouns, but I dug up a couple useful links. From the 2nd one, below, there's this quote that define Operating Income:
"Revenue less cost of merchandise sold and related operating expenses applying to the normal business events of the entity. It excludes financial related items (i.e., interest income, dividend income, interest expense), extraordinary items, taxes, and other peripheral activitie"
My interpretation is that Revenue is the total amount of money earn, while Operating Income is the actual profit attributable to the companies core operations. That blurb just about "financial related items" refers, I believe, to the fact that big companies like Disney own large dosh reserves that they invest. And these investments - which are probably in stuff not remotely related to their business - may generate significant income. But for investors, it's introduction to keep these two kind of profit (core business .vs. financial investment) distinct because of the risk profiles associated with where on earth the money comes from.
For example, imagine that the Disney matter parks and movie studios were losing $2B a year, but that the brass investments were generate $3B a year... that would paint a deceptively rosy picture of Disney, the entertainment company, as being profitable to the tune of $1B/year. When, contained by fact, what's profitable is Disney, the financial investment entity... but those profits may be coming from market that are highly volatile and subject to nippy, unexpected revise (which is _not_ what Disney investors want!)
Anyhow, that's my layman's take on things. Hope it help.
Revenue (or Sales) is the money coming into the business for the specific time period. Operating income is Revenue smaller amount Cost of Goods Sold. That is the profit before overhead, interest income, miscellaneous income and income taxes.
