What are your thoughts or fruitless experiences doing contract labor or self a peddler for a huge company?

I have a small business of 3 relatives that does contract labor for steel companies. One of my customers is one of the largest steel companies in the world. We work rock-hard and meet our deadline. All we ask is that our invoices are paid surrounded by a timely manner so we can pay envelope our bills as we are a small operation. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work that method. If they exceed the deadline for paying its no big deal to them and they communicate you when they will pay. Several times just this minute it has be 5-6 weeks before we see a check. With Christmas coming up it would own been nice to hold the money for the holidays plus the basic utilities. I guess explicitly why the big companies get where on earth they do. The little guy has get no chance. You provide them a service which is an asset to them and you surrounded by turn are treated like a liability. The problem is you depend on the bigger companies for a steady flow of work. If anyone else have similiar situations or any advise consistency free to sound stale.

You are correct.
All companies seem to rate from 30-60 days for services. This is common near large companies...even some smaller companies.
You must be deeply good, if you hold an agreement with a Large company.
My suggestion: Secure a small business loan and put those funds surrounded by a separate account. Pay your salary and misc. expenses from that account.
The interest and other charges may be Tax deductible as a true business expense. I refer to this as the Cost of doing Business.
American express have a group that deals next to this type of account. You can support a loan from a Credit union, possibly.
This is all almost Cash Flow...I am certain that you are aware of that.

I know how you feel. I do alot of work for a entrepreneur that is not other on time near payments. I have carried expenses for several months on job that I have completed for them just to hear " We just don't enjoy the $ available right now. " I usually receive costs from them right before they stipulation me to do another large installation and my price tend to be a little better when they owe me for past due invoices.
