Never really thought about it... but i myself do shop at Target and not Walmart. It newly seems to be more friendly and smaller amount of a "machine" than Walmart, where adjectives you hear about is how scantily the employees are treated, etc.
People have a sneaking suspicion that that Wal-Mart employees don't acquire enough wages or days off, etc. and are treated weakly just because most of them are poor. Target doesn't treat their workers as bad, or money them as less as Wal-Mart pays their body. Personally, I don't mind either places.

You can pretty much amount out that Wal-Mart will be the better experience, AND they are charitable.
Until target becomes as full-size as wal-mart, if it ever does, it won't get nearly the publicity, whether fruitless or good, because it is not the largest. Have you ever hear of the backward bending supply labor curve? Basically, it is the supposition that people will work a correct amount of hours per week (uknown) before the realize that they are not getting hold of anything in their lives except for stressthat's when the labor supply curve starts to bend backwards. society start to realize this and they start working less because they are financially protected enough to work smaller quantity and enjoy go in whichever bearing they would like.
In any case, Wal-mart have this same type of backward bending curve. Wal-mart have gotten so big that at some point they have to start scale back (i.e. working smaller amount hours) because their competition (i.e. relaxation and other activities besides work) start to creep within. Therefore, we are starting to see some of that competition creep in, whether it be Target, Costco or even a a coalition against wal-mart. anything it is, wal mart will not come to an end, they will only just not be as big. competition is one of the greatest parts of a free-market society.
Its an interesting case specifically reviewed over and over in college marketing classes. Its the undamaged PR thing lean. Walmart has unknowingly gotten right up contained by your face! Throwing up stores everywhere you turn WOuldnt be so unpromising except its dirty, overcrowded and just dominat surrounded by the market place. Pu a great deal of mom am pops out of business besides misusing their employees. Target is verbs! Bright, scarce, unique, subtle. Same as Walgreens. There are twice as several being built than walmart but they are PR (public relations) champion.
People *HATE* wal-mart because they purposely and actively try to drive out local businesses in like peas in a pod way that starbucks does. They are competent to undercut other businesses by paying their employees totally low wages and horrible benefits, and once the local alternative businesses are gone, local citizens have no where on earth to go but to work here themselves. What makes u reflect on most people despise WalMart ? If that were true, why r their stores other busy. Yes, they do have fault, but price wise, u can`t spank them especially in the grocery dept.
