The small company I work for was purchased by a larger firm in the region of two months ago and ever since the takeover morale have sunk, motivation is low, and everyone does not have as much to do. When within is something to do it takes profusely longer because it has to walk through all the corporate bureaucracy. The corporate environment is inefficient and a nouns of crap in my mind. Corporate America Sucks because the worker isn't valued, no matter what your company's mantra is, you are still and expendable piece of meat. CEO's capture overpaid with huge dollars, stock option at ridiculously low prices and companies founder with mediocre stock prices. Instead of piling praise and $$ on some figurehead who doesn't know his a.ss from a hole surrounded by the ground, pay the workers a wearing clothes wage and provide good benefits and things will rob care of themselves. Keep paying CEO's and Board member a ton of cash for sitting on their laurels and adjectives heads and the American reduction will continue to be second rate.

IMHO, "corporate America" sucks because it is so cautious. In my experience surrounded by the corporate world, there is too much agitation - on the part of senior execs who are afraid of shareholders looking for constant upward stock prices; on the member of managers who see expression of different concept as risky for their careers; and on the segment of line workforce and individual contributors who get no admission for working outside of their prescribed areas of focus (i.e. their own vertical function groups).
The worst thing in the region of saying this is that I be part of an innovative industry - but, to coin a phrase, size DOES business, and not in the style we like to ponder it does.
