What is the difference between a private and public cable company?

Question:
What different standards are they held to (i.e. fees they must charge and channels they must carry).

Answer:
The difference between a private and a public company is that the public company have stock that is offered on and traded on the Stock Exchange. When chief decisions are made by a publicly owned company the company board of directors must bear a vote of the stockholders. The company board of directors must keep their stockholders informed of most important policies in the company and any change that could affect their stock as well as their returns.

In a private company the CEO or owner of the company can do pretty much as they please, as long as their board of directors or other officers agree.

The is no rule on what channel are required or what fees can be charged. If the cable company is operated at a state or local owned utility afterwards there are payment controls and restrictions. This is only done when the one cable company have a monopoly over the area. When the open market is opened to private competition after these rules and controls are removed. However, in the covering of a state or local run monopoly there are no rules on what channel must be provided.

Since Direct TV and Dish Network can compete in almost every US marketplace there are exceedingly few cable monopolies anymore.

Does youur company hold elevated turnover/attrition?

Question:
I work in the HR department that supports a generous Call Center in Sacramento. We own extremely high attrition and are looking for tentative and creative ways to reduce attrition and also hold the supervision team in charge for it as well. Any philosophy?

Answer:
I used to work in a phone center and I will tell you why ancestors quit.
Low wages
Schedule is not flexible
Incentives for bonuses are not attainable
Reps would take maltreat from consumers as a result of stupid corporate decisions which negatively artificial product or service
Insufficent training of reps by management
No growth opportunity
Christmas bonus be a joke

Change any one of these things and you might a short time ago keep some of your correct employees.
Maybe you should look at a few things as a company

1. Are you requiring a sale quota as a condition of employment. That right there is the number one problem within call center job.

2. Are you building managers bonuses around their departments sale. That can be leading to the manager putting undue pressure on their units.

3. Are you offering top pay and top benefits, not simply "competitive" or bottom basement. If you arent, family are liable to jump ship immediatley at the prospect of anything better.

4. I read an article nearly Best Buy, and they set up a flexible schedule for adjectives of their workers at their corporate office. Turnover go down and production went up. You could try this, where on earth employees be allowed to come and go as they please, as long as within was correct number on staff at all points.

Call centers are a crap situation. The work is redundant, and they are usually under a large level of stress for poor wages and no discovery. You cant just operate ho-hum, and expect to keep hold of employees.

Best instrument to bring back your money posterior from a Place that ONLY allows *Store Credit*?

Question:
I went to a store call Plato's Closet (upper-class second hand store) and bought a few clothing items for my Sister on Thursday, March 29th. When I come home and gave her the items the sizes didn't fit her and appeared to be shrunken from previous owners. I call on Friday and spoke with one of the body and they had told me that they adopt all “returns” on items that are smaller amount than 7days old, still have the tags, and resourceful receipt- in which I have all. I drove 2 hours within traffic only to find out that Plato’s Closet does NOT adopt returns and only Store Credit will be given. I am too far away and store credit will not be tolerable.

I am asking HOW do I get them to allow my returns so I am competent to receive my money back on my credit card??

Answer:
Buyer beware.

When you engineer a purchase - particularly a purchase at an off-brand used store, it would make honest sense to ask about their return policy.

From the store's point of vision, a store credit instead of a money refund make sense - they can maintain a accurate rapport with their regular customers who may occasionally buy something that simply isn't the right thing, while avoiding have folks wandering through town scam them out of refunds.

I'd recommend taking a store credit and giving it to your sister to use nearby.
Do not shop there problem solved.
Did they transmit you when you made your purchase that they only grant store credit for returns? Was it printed on your receipt or do they enjoy a sign stating that in the store? They own to make you aware of their policies. If they hold not, then they hold to give you your money put a bet on.
Explain your situation to them that you drove all that instrument. Throw a huge fit and they'll have to do something. Ask to speak near the manager.
you can't.
If they hold it stated in the store or on the bill that they only impart store credit than you have to pilfer it or leave it...
