Answer:
Management involves the utilization of resources effectively to accomplish the goal of the organization.
Management is taking responsibility for, and have the necessary skills to accomplish company objectives, contained by a role that faces the morning by day challenge that relate to those goals. That's my judgment, at least.
Those whose post is to, rather than produce produce or offer a service, organise those who *do* into more or most productivity.
Managment is the art of getting a group of relatives to do what they don't want to do at that particular moment. Anything else is something bar management.

Director of whatever.... The positions sounds as if it is more than the average directorial position. Could offer you some suggestions, but you did not specify what type of operation or what the division does.
Titles tend to be a culture thing in a company. Most prefer Manager, Director, or Supervisor. And then you combine that next to the departmental function, i.e. Manager of Shipping.

My Friend there are various ways to handle such situation. Most of the Org world huge face such problems and your Org is no exception to such absenteeism.

You may apply penalties(-) or motivate(+) the troop. Motivation could be tangible or intangible suppose u allege that any staff not absent from work will return with a free ticket to cinema, or recognition tag or family dinner anything you can afford. If you motivate them through reward that can be shared by their own flesh and blood, the family member themself will push the employee to work full time within order to be eligible for the reward.

Penalty is however the most minuscule preferred choice, PMI never recommend force application of regulation on employee. So better sit beside them and try to understand the source of the problem. It may so arise that u r not touching the actual source.

maybe but it also really ties up the resources of a company to put stock on layaway and next have it not redeem. Then by the time you are sure the party is not going to pick up their merchandise the item is prehistoric stock and just have to go on mart.
So many culture have and use credit cards, I presume it had a minimal impact on family.
