Who decides who is allowed to drill contained by international waters? I recently saw an America documentary almost oil rigs within which its maker boasted roughly speaking some of biggest American oil rigs drilling extensively and exclusively within international waters.

Many countries have signed the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, which covers what countries are and aren't allowed to do beside mineral rights and so on in their own and international waters.

Under the convention, countries will generally gain mineral rights in dampen up to 200 nautical miles from their coastline (beyond this isn't currently technologically possible, but conceivably this will change...)

I am thinking of varying my Company to a flex hour system?

Question:
My employees give the impression of being to be in favor of it, but needed to take the pulse of the Yahoo Answer world. Has anyone moved to one, and be it successful? And would you like to work 4 days a week, 10 hours a daytime, or stay at 8 hours a day for 5 days?

Thanks.

Answer:
I guess flex time is a great idea, for companies that can bring away with it. My husband's company used to be flex time, but too plentiful were abuse it, and cutting out dictum they came surrounded by earlier than they did and etc.

I would love to work four ten hour days, and own three days off from work a week.
Definitely four days a week at ten hours a morning. I work ten hours a day but 6 days a week!

With regard to flexi-time, we have it surrounded by our company. It's a great staff motivator but is impossible to monitor unless your staff have no grounds to leave the premises during the daylight on business.

Another down or up-point (depending on type of your business) is that you tend to find your premises empty most Fridays and copious Mondays, which may or may not impact upon your company.
4 -10 hour days sound best.
Flex hours are a positive re-inforcement for body.
Our company has 8hrs/5days a week but within the summer we have a program that starts from memorial hours of daylight and ends labor day weekend where on earth alternate group of employees win friday's off....

so you would work 9.5 hours for 9 days within a row to get the 10th light of day off (so every member of staff gets two friday's - bad per month)

Other option is to enjoy 1/2 day fridays....its a great incentive...I don't recommend working single 4 days a week....work is work and it has to run on all 5 days of the week!!
I developed a flex-time system for a background storage company that I worked for some time ago. I learned just this minute the plan is still in place - so, I resembling to think it worked.

In our situation it created the unintended side benefit of bringing a "brain-gain" to the company. For example, we could never cover weekends (our company be 24/7/365) effectively. We created 3-12 hour days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and paid the member of staff for 40 hours. My VP said, "who would take on such a shift?" A week subsequent we had a grad student working on a doctorate start. He looked-for the shift so he could work on his studies all week long. After the installation of flex-time our workforce go from 8 hour grinders looking for a pay check to notably motivated/educated people who conventional the value of time.

It is difficult to track. And, abuse can and will happen. Further, the longer shifts are not for everyone and you call for to be very selective. Safety wishes to be a concern (we did not offer flex-time to vehicle/power operators). In our situation we be running a very outstandingly tracked quality control system so we be able to track any counter in feature immediately. If you do not enjoy a way to track this, consequently I would suggest setting up a temporary program first.

4 - 10 hour shifts works the best. In certainty, some of our employees found that when we added one hour since and one hour at the end (7:30 to 6:00 p.m.) they if truth be told saved time during the week because they avoided rush hours!! Productivity increased! Why? We didn't know. Until a babyish data-entry clerk told us it was because "the phones don't ring in the past 9 or after 5."

Today, I have a staff of four supporting me. They establish amongst themselves who does office duty (phones, UPS, etc.) for the light of day. The others can work at home, come in when needed, as long as they are available, deduce that they are working, keep accurate time sheets and enjoy projects done before deadline. Flex time works and can work well.
We have flex hours and I loved it. Some days you're just
more into work than others. We also have to punch a time
clock.
Every company that I have ever hear of that did this because there workforce requested it.........IT WORKED OUT!

I don't know why this isn't done more often! In reality, it should be the cultural norm in America.

Employees discern like they hold more time, feel smaller number burned out, that 2 extra hours isn't too hard to do 4 days a week. And purely think, 3 daylight weekends every week!
Whatever you do, put it in writing.
Also, realize of you be in motion to 4-10's everybody is going to want Friday off. You can't do it.
Day stale would have to be by seniority.
You COULD formulate it flexible, if someone who is off Friday is feeling like to trade with someone who is stale Tuesday, your call.
I worked within a place that didn't care, as long as you permit them know.

Also, you might want everybody there , voice, between 9 and 3. You might allow 1 hour for lunch, or a half hour.
Perhaps a "time bank" would work, work an extra 1/2 hr a morning, and just hide away it up for an emergency.

But whatever you do, it have to be in writing, and consistant. And somebody have to keep track of the extra time those save up.
nd, you must allow peopleto changetheir shifts when you control it, such as every 3 months, every month, etc
it's great for morale, but could distribute the time keeper an excedrin headache.
Good luck.
i own worked 10 hour days,.....and it was great,.....3 days stale per week,.....8 hour days suck,.....remember when motivation is high productivity is soaring, when motivation is low productivity is low
I worked 4/10 and I liked it. I reckon many companies set aside 9/80, with every other Friday sour. I've worked 4.5/40 too, where Friday be half a year. That wasn't too bad any, but having a intact day would hold probably been better.

What dose Batch number and Ref number show?

Question:
what do they stand for? and if some company asked us 2 put them...what should we put there?

Answer:
I don't know where on earth you work, but I work at the bank, and a shipment number is when....one person might hold a bunch of different things that they worked on and you would enter in a number that would own all these things contained by it instead of each one seperately. If that make since.
These are used to find the original documents that are enter into a database. Batch numbers are numbers assigned to a related group of documents. Reference Number usually is a unique number used to identify a specifice document. This make it possible for the original document to be located contained by the files, should the need arise.

Walmart attendance policy?

Question:
walmart attendance policy?
Ive been told they want to coach me for my attendance. For person absent a few times contained by 6 months. What does this consist of ?. and does it go on your perminent story? Also how does the rolling 6 month period piece go. When do your absentee roll over , with a verbs slate. they say 6 months. I thought it have been. Can any1 minister to?? please.
Thank you.

Answer:
Walmart places great emphasis on workforce showing up on time and frowns greatly on unexcused absence. I believe that they want to work with you to see if you can agree to abide by this policy. If you can they will preserve you on and wipe the slate clean within six months. Obviously, if you tell them you'll do better and don't, you will be fired for rationale.

So, you need to agree on if you can change your ways and become a more reliable member of staff. If you can do this then explain to them. If not, find another job where on earth its OK to not show up now and after.

Why would a company put up for sale equity within disguise?

Question:

Answer:
Unlike debt, they don't have to rate the equity back !!
Be well thought-out of companies offering to buy only your equity contained by a building. This is a common scam. You are asked to supply them this equity portion in your home and you can hold on to living there, your moniker remains on the title. They then pilfer out a loan from some company using this equity as collateral. You are left holding the sack because your name is on the title, if they do not build the payments. And they just took the money out of your equity.
