Is it simply me or does it appear stupid that the Royal Mail are threatening to strike given their competition?

They lost a huge Amazon account because they can't deliver, and their customer 'services' are a ploy. How can any sensible person be threatening to strike over a put on a pedestal when they no longer hold the monopoly they did in the UK, isn't it more noteworthy to keep a available job..even if you don't do it well?

It's a bit resembling the old clich¨¦ about 'fighting for peace' surrounded by that some peoples view of what to do is strike but it will only just hurt the company more in the long run.

Every time Royal Mail go on strike another business switches it's post to another company, that's just why Amazon call it a day.
Your business would progress under if bills weren't compensated, even if this day of email and nippy technology we still have plentiful businesses insist on paperwork before they'll wages a bill.

The postmen must feel approaching their in a corner but when a company is losing a fortune to the competition you can't walk driving another nail into the coffin.
yeah but it's not the poor posties for the most part of the pack. It's the company that owns the post office presently. They took it over on the premise that they would improve the service, afterwards they realised they could make tons more money by simply running it into the ground.
If you look at the issues involved its plentifully more complicated than that.
If you don't do a job resourcefully, then you will lose out to a competitor any way. So if the company is preventing you from doing your opening, you have nought to lose by striking.

Any problem that is cause unhappiness will not be taken seriously unless the workers are ready to collectively put their jobs at risk by raise it (as you point out, this is exactly what they are doing at present).

The irony is that the Royal Mail could easily 'competition-proof' itself, by agreeing to the requirements put forward by its workforce. The headship would see this as costing the company money, but it would be better to describe it as investment in goodwill.

Some companies filch staff goodwill even further. If a salary be partly salaried in company stock, together near rights to vote and take a dividend, later the workforce would gradually become (and feel) powerful shareholders. That would product it impossible for the management to do anything that disadvantages the workforce, as economically as making a workforce strike pointless. The management AND the staff would both be working towards alike goal (profitability), and would be ready to help respectively other achieve it.
the company that get the amazon account newly charges less than royal messages, thats why they got the information, but royal mail by canon still has to deliver the amazon products. the goverment wont allow royal messages to let these other companies deliver them them selves. so the posties own more to deliver, get their hours cut because royalmail have lost the account and are not going to find a pay rise. can you blame them for striking?

Wal-Mart's biggest problems come from it's mount. Every time the company makes any move, no concern how small, it effects many ancestors, entire industries and international markets.

They aren't breaking the ruling by giving people what they want, but they are practised of shaping macro and micro economies by their business practices.

You don't hold to like them, but I would really advice against the temptation to throw policy regulations around only them because they're an straightforward target.
Well if you mean Walmart, Think in the order of all the items that you buy, and the price you rewarded for it. Walmart has lower abundant prices so that many can afford. Whether the level is as good, that's a different request for information.

The items be sent to me bu delivery boy. On checking the rates rates for one item be not clear. Delivery boy asked me to call Subhiksha. I call and inquired from girl on telephone. She told me absolute rates which were much lower from the one I received contained by bill. My bill was overcharged. Upon pointing this out she simply said "we are not taking money home and doesn`t matter what is written is company charge and if you want to take, purloin or not, we dont care. I requested her to put me contained by touch with the Cubhiksha surrounded by charge of store or give me another number where on earth I can talk. She said that she is the top most authority.
