In regard to CincyJen's remark my husband has be a retail store manager for days gone by four years. And he does not agree with your comment that it is the customers idiosyncrasy that stores give impossible customer service. The problem here lies in the reality that no one care about what they are doing. They lately go to work and they linger for the next paycheck. Dont go and get me wrong, customers sometimes deserve to be thrown out of the store. Customer service is messed up in 99.9% of the stores out within. The only store that I own seen truly bring in customer service a priority is BED BATH AND BEYOND.
Nordstrom and Costco - pretty much the only companies I spend generous amounts of money with :)

I suggest part of the problem near customer service is the customers who think that it ability "giving customers whatever they want". Anyone who works contained by retail knows what I connote. I never, never, never complain unless I have a valid pretext, because all it does it idle away the time and energy of adjectives involved. Too many inhabitants complaining about stupid things the store can't serve makes workers jaded and lead to bad customer service.
P.S. I have a handle on others have have different experiences...I had a markedly negative experience working retail.
