Will at hand be any competition for ethanol?
Any other oil substitutesAnswers:
Butanol could confidently replace ethanol and gasoline if they could get the manufactoring process smaller quantity expensive on a mass scale.
Butanol, unlike ethanol, can run contained by any gas engine at 100% butanol without engine modifications. It have almost the same see as standard gasoline, compared to the 1/3 less of ethanol, and can be transported surrounded by any pipeline or truck that gasoline can.
The only two downsides are cold starts are difficult, and in attendance is too little research into producing this as fuel.
Other Answers:
If you mean another alcohol, not really.
Ethanol is a colloquial alcohol. There is methanol, which is methyl-alcohol. Which is toxic. At one time there be methanol cars, Indy cars run on methanol.
Ethanol is an oxygenate. Which helps fuel burn cleaner
as an chemical addition. But it is also corrosive, and has smaller quantity
energy over a gallon of gasoline. So the MPG will progress down.
It also absorbs dampen.
Diesel could be a threat to Ethanol. Since we already have it within place all over. Just withdrawal diesel engine cars.

Why is the volume of Lucent stock so big when the stock sell so low?
Answers:
If the stock price is cheap, then a majority transaction of, say, 10000$ requires more shares so the volume looks lofty. Contrast this to Berkshire, where folks might trade just 1 share at a time, so the volume every morning is low.
Other Answers:
Because they have issued millions upon millions of shares surrounded by the company which raises dosh but in turn dillutes or devalues the price of an individual share.
cheap stocks flog in better amounts
Generally, the lower the price of a large panama stock, the higher number of outstanding shares in that are. Also, the average investor usually owns $3,000-5,000 worth of any given stock. If its lucent, then thats over a thousand shares. If its 3M, thats individual 30 shares. Hence when the stockholder liquidates his shares, he sell 3000 shares of LU to 30 shares of MMM. Thats why the volume of shares is so much higher.
If near is interest in the company from buyers, the volume should represent that. If the price drops you call for to buy more shares for the same type of establish.
What is WalMart's achievement strategy for taking over other companies?
WalMart, Acquisition Strategy, Mergers, Strategic ManagementAnswers:
In the case of ASDA it be a company they knew awfully well because they'd be co-operating for years. ASDA announced a plan to merge with another company. It be a public company traded on the London Stock exchange, so Wal Mart just put within a higher set aside and bought the stock.
In other words it was an opportunistic move. Wal Mart didn't hold a presence in the UK, but figure they would need to buy something eventually and considered necessary to buy ASDA while it was still available.
Other Answers:
Move within....set up...sell low...drive em out.
They don't. Walmart doesn't take over other companies, they a moment ago get the souk to shut them down due to the desire to have lower prices for impossible to tell apart products. They are going to be the company that will take over the world..... You will own to take the discoloration in writ to even shop there..... lol
Their business model is like those of most big chains.
A wide-ranging variety of products are sold newly barely above the profit edge. Money is earned for selling such products surrounded by bulk.
i'm not sure what you're interview. wal-mart has merely aquired other companies in foreign market.
in the US they prospect topography to build on and then set up shop.
if you're wondering in the order of them "putting other stores out of business" then, this get tricky. they aren't actually aquiring those stores, merely cause their business to deteriorate. this is because the other store cannot compete for whatever judgment.
the best thing for any store to do when in close proximity a wal-mart is to specialize. manys stores thive near wal-mart b/c if wal-mart doesn't enjoy it, then they do. the craft store A.C. Moore is a correct example. they specialized in crafts that wal-mart can't compete near. sure, wal-mart has a craft department, but not one resembling the entire store of A.C. Moore. same with Lowes, Home Depot, etc. this can be said of "mom and pop" stores also. don't try to compete next to wal-mart by ebing the same. be soemthing different and you will thrive. the best is when you specialize and are close to wal-mart...you will increase your customer bottom just be individual close to wal-mart. what they don't have you do!
i be with wal-mart for just about 5 years and left as a officer. i can tell you some things, but not alot, since i can't "tell" until i've be gone for 5 years.
i'll put this on my watchlist in armour you add some details.
EDIT:
contained by the management program at Wal-Mart, manager read Sam Walton's books. he wrote 3, i believe, and they are great reads. he be entertaining and well versed surrounded by his business, but doesn't make the reader get the impression alienated about the subject.
please remember that the business have changed a bit since Sam's departure, so what you're reading was a colleagues ago and there is a newer classmates building wal-mart now. Walmart once in a blue moon acquires companies surrounded by the US, because it doesnt need to, and would facade anti-trust problems. They do look for overseas acquisitions, and their parameter are fairly alike as for other corporations:
1. Find a retailer that caters to the same customer profile as Walmart.
2. Look for retailers that are undervalue, and or poorly manged
3. Only buy in countries that are stable, and are not anti-business, or anti-foreign ownership.

How can the grease companies hold raise the gas prices and the Government can't stop them?
I know it is against the law to "Price Fix" but it is not against the decree to "Make profit". If the oil companies agree that their prices will not be too far ahead or astern their competitors, why is that not "Price Fixing"? They are all making hugh profits but the Government can't do anything roughly speaking it because the oil companies hold not broken any laws. Why doesn't the Government "Wire Tap" some of these grease companies and catch them near "Price Fixing"? I know they can do wire hit because it goes on every light of day. Are the Government Representatives being bought rotten by the oil companies to stay out of the accounting books? Interesting thoughts own been going thru my go before lately and I wonder if anyone else things the same?Answers:
First of adjectives, I'm not sure you understand the difference between "price fixing" and "making a profit".
Price fixing is an agreement between competitors to set the price of a commodity at an artificially glorious level. There's NO evidence whatsoever that this is what is adjectives with gas prices at the pump.
Gas prices are largely artificial by the price per barrel of crude - which is fixed by the market on an international level and NOT by the gas companies.
If you want to place blame on the high-ranking gas prices, look no further than the fact that NO NEW REFINERIES hold been built within the last 20 years, gratitude largely to the liberal tree-hugging conservationist environmental wackos, who have ram environmental legislation down the throats of Americans, and which has resulted within the cost, location and actual building of a new refinery one so high it's prohibitive.
Meanwhile, gas constraint has skyrocketed contained by the last two decades. Refineries are operating at zenith capacity. Add into the mix that some of the refinery damaged by Katrina and Rita ultimate year haven't returned to full production yet and you've get HIGH demand and LOW supply. From an economics standpoint, that channel high fuel prices at the pumps.
Europeans hold been paying MUCH high prices at the pumps for years. Americans need to find over it. We live in a capitalist society, and grease companies are the ones who take the financial risk of importing/exporting/refining/d... petroleum. It stands to principle that for shouldering that risk that they should (from a capitalist standpoint) be the ones to reap the profits to be made as a result of the risk.
If you don't like gas prices, drive smaller number.
Other Answers:
Capitalism: money buys everything and everyone.
In this case, the policy has be bought and staffed by oil companies. They even bequeath OUR money to those same RICH companies (we subsidize those companies with export tax breaks). I assume they really need it!?!?!??
Tycoons rule the world! The American people are looking at the wrong outlet for backing.
Here are some facts: When you spend money at the pump, the US government get $0.45 for every dollar that you spend. The oil companies achieve an average of $.12 per dollar.
In this situation the government profits most because of terrifs and taxation. And the ancestors are looking to the "enemy" for help. The management will never cease to import tax oil. The price of grease is determined by OPEC. If we started determining our own price per barrel (IE, using our own resources) consequently maybe we could dictate the price at the pump. But until later, we have to depend on the Saudis to dictate our gas prices.
