Ha, my parents bought a computer from Best Buy, and purchased that service protection plan. Sure enough, the computer malfunction, they took it to be serviced, and Best Buy sent it to California! It took like 2 freakin' weeks for them to fix, consequently they wiped the harddrive minus either calling and asking first, or making an easy-to-make backup disc! What the heck! THEN, when the computer finally come back, they CHARGED an extra $25, even though they bought the service plan! And when my stepdad tried to argue, they treated him close to Adam Sandler on the airplane on Anger Management. "I need you to quiet down, sir..." and he wasn't even raising his voice!
Crappiest service ever! There be a lot of stuff lost that be on the harddrive, like photos and documents, and adjectives they had to do be make a backup disc as a courtesy, but they didn't.
