The main problem beside customer service is the lack of a company to own a standard in place within which they are meant to follow.
In business companies (for instance) if you are certified to ISO standards you are obligated to maintain a reliable level of customer service and self-satisfaction. You have to means it in command to keep your records. They deal beside many customers but govern them well because they are guided lower than a standard. All companies should have to operate this method. Some manufacturing companies also founder here (hello ford and gm) anf then their entire system fail and they get over run by the competition (hello Toyota).
They enjoy to deal beside a lot of stupid question and mean general public and then they hold it out on the nice ones. It's the circle of life....
Everyone is frustrated. They are over worked and beneath paid and probably have a feeling unappreciated. And they just dont watchfulness.
Our world has become much smaller near the ability to efficiently communicate internationally, because of this domestic companies have be forced to become much more efficient within order to remain competitive beside nations that can cart advantage of smaller quantity expensive labour. A result of these efficiencies is more automated menus, overworked body, and fewer systems contained by place to handle customer problems. I've be working retail for years now and I guarantee it adjectives depends on your own attitude and expectations when you talk to them, and how the creature before you acted. For every one rude customer service hand you see, there are something like 50 rude customers. Take a walk surrounded by their shoes, long hours, low pay, listen to complaints all year, how would you feel? Try greeting them beside a smile.
And remember, that person losing the desk doesn't make the rules, within most places the manager doesn't any.
Of course, sometimes we just approaching to argue.
The main problem beside customer service is that it is a low paying job that puts one surrounded by a position of having to put up beside a lot of "ship".
While it is true that not a soul is forced into customer service, the conditions are getting much worse as companies are becoming more and more "customer" oriented. As a result, companies impart away the farm within order to keep hold of customers.
For example, while selling clothes for Riche's Department Store, as per company policy, I had to adopt year old underwear as a trade for unusual underwear(both purchased at Riche's) because the customer thought "the underwear is not holding up as it should."
This is not an isolated incident. Things like this arise on a daily starting place.
Not to mention the fact that customers are unanimously a pain contained by the @ss. I guarantee you, that if everyone were forced to work the other side of the counter, businesses would not own 90% of the problems they have in a minute.

I've been near this company for 5 years, why would they need a resume?

It sounds ominuous to me. I think your company is almost to go through a money of some sort - what that may be you will find out. But one thing is for sure! You stipulation to do your resume up nice. Make it neat, spell check it, and formulate sure is is complete. Include in it what you hold been doing the final 5 years, and don't forget to add any other talent you have, interests you hold, etc. Also make copies of it lately in overnight case. My company did it once before promotions and net reviews. Upper management looked-for to make sure that everyone be being treated rather in relation to co-workers. Often they aren't sure exactly what culture do and what they have done contained by the past.

I would not worry around it though; I doubt if you are going to be losing your job.

MONEY.
Money is the root of all evil, don't forget. People resembling to sue each other, and the management likes to bring relatives into court for the sheer fact that everytime you attend court you own to pay a 'court cost'. Usually around 30 dollars. And reflect on, they have just about 40-60 people within court each daylight (depending on the size of the court) in respectively court room. So.that adds up to nearly 1500 dollars per sunshine in lately court cost! Not to mention the cost of fines, etc. that they collect as well, which is usually 100-300 dollars a fine! Not everyone get fined, but even if only 10 inhabitants got fines, it would incorporate up to over 1000 (then adding court cost, roughly 2500) dollars a day!
It's adjectives about the brass. Sad but true.

I am not american, but Americans within general do not delight in taking people to court.

If they do soak up taking people to court next you are probably right they probably dont obey the 10 commandments, and likelihood are they probably doubled as a guest on Jerry Springer to alleviate their boredom from sitting on the couch watching baseball while eating sick junk-foods, they probably injured themselves putting posters of hamburgers on their wall because they were too FAT and tripped over something, so here they are surrounded by court enjoying suing someone for their own mistakes.

Unpaid overtime?


Question:
A previous employer had us use time cards that are punched by a gadget. I know many times I started 10 or 15 minutes untimely and punched in and thus accumulate overtime in a given week but our paychecks lone reflected 80 hours (we be paid every 2 weeks). Can the labor board shift in and audit these time cards? I know alot of personnel worked past 5:00 (our quit time) and never get compensated.

I would call your hr department. Even if it a previous employer, see if they can give support to you. If not forget the labor board, get a legal representative and he/she will sort it out for you. Or start a class action lawsuit.
You might bargain to the person who make out your checks , they are the ones that read them. Some places , just don't income overtime,

I have patent-pending on a dapper, new product! There are individual 3 major companies that I want to bring back interested in this product, but they are Fortune 500 companies next to people who are tough to reach. I enjoy developed an introductory letter that I want KEY DECISION MAKERS to read. What is the best road to get my memorandum in front of the right eyes, short it automatically getting put aside by someone? I am debating :
a)using the old-fashioned USPS, beside first-class mailing.
b)Sending the ltr. using FedEx express w/signature
c)Sending via email
d)Phone beckon first followed by ltr (assuming I could get through)
- What other method can you suggest? Any tips on making sure the ltr. gets read by the right family? When emailing, what is the conventional way of address people? (Last designation first.firstame@company, First name.last@company?)

Not automatically. They have to be registered as personnel with your state's Department of Labor.

You can in actuality have a corporation next to officers and not a single hand. We did that with one corporation because it wasn't going to show any income nor sale for about 2 years. Perfectly officially recognized.

Shareholders are just that, owners of the company. You can own plenty of stock surrounded by companies and it doesn't make you an member of staff.

I post-dated two checks to my old rental complex one for 300 and for 500. They be post dated For AUGUST!

From what im aware of it's against the LAW to deposit checks that are not before or on that time..

Post dating a check is not undemocratic. It is a very adjectives impression, but it is most really not illegal.

However, it is commonly impractical. Banks are no longer bound to disallow honoring a check based on the date drawn. As dishonorable and dishonourable it is of the payee, it is not illegal for them to present a check for clearing prior to the date of the check. In most circumstances post dating is not feasible remedy.
Because writing those checks is YOUR responsibility, not theirs. You enjoy commited a felony be knowingly writing those checks when near was not satisfactory money to cover them... Hopefully, the rental complex will not choose to press charges, but be aware that they can - and it won't look good on your narrative, it's a crime of dishonesty and can make you inelligible to bring back jobs within many field...

post dating a check is against the decree! You cannot give someone a check and enunciate "hold this till I say it's ok to deposit it" Once you confer them the ck it's theirs to deposit. If we notice the date we cannot deposit it or lolly it but if it's with a bunch of checks the date may not be notice. It's best if you hold the check till the due date.
Check processing is a mostly automated process. The person looking at the check is singular looking at the amount and will not notice the date.

Can I collect dismissal benefits if the company I'm working for is not busy for the month of july?

I work for a company that is not busy within the summertime. We come and work 2 or 3 days out of the week and we are forced to put our PTO time in command to complete the 40hrs. It's kind of frustrating, so I thought I don`t know put a percentage of the staff on unemployment while the others achieve their full 40hrs. I'm wondering if this will be a loss for the company or not. I think that it will maintain employees instead of loosing them within the summer because of slow season.

Net income is smooth . . . you start with EBIT - which is profits before interest and taxes. $5M minus $1M within interest expense = $4M in pretax income. Then . . . you subtract taxes, which is $1.6M ($4M times 40%) and you attain net income of $2.4M.

Operating dosh flow starts with web income $2.4M and adds subsidise the non cash actions. Since we're assuming the only non-cash item is depr, we join back $1M surrounded by depr exp and our cash flow from operating actions is $3.4M.

I'm not sure you have adequate info to figure network cash flow - but it's be a long while since I've looked at text book accounting problems. And I don't know NOPAT b/c I'm too matured and my company doesn't use that metric. I'd bet that if you went to investopedia.com you could look it up and attain a formula.
