I agree, I don't like wal-mart and I also don't exactness much for any other mega mart store. Normally when I buy groceries and such, I'll go to a local bazaar. Lately, like inwardly the last few years though, wal marts hold been sprouting up everywhere here. You see, walmart have taken over in Canada too (along beside toysrus, homedepot, and all those other mega marts). People protest within the hundreds and sometimes thousands, but 'somehow' city council still allows them in.
Walmart have closed down huge stores just to evade their personnel unionization. Every penny that one gives to walmart go straight into who's hands? Not the local reduction, that's for sure. Not to the employees.
What associates need to see it that it's not in recent times walmart. All these stores do the exact same thing as walmart, one and only walmart gets adjectives the publicity because it's the biggest at the moment.
There are also Canadian mega marts doing the same entity too, but you see, the USA has a huge population compared to Canada and big American companies can confidently overpower the Canadian ones with adjectives this free-trade crap. It's gotten to the point now that I enjoy no choice, all the Canadian businesses own been put out of business and when I turn shopping for things such as food, it's all from California. We grow blueberries right here contained by my own community, but the store sells USA blueberries at 10x the price. Our blueberries walk to the USA. Same goes for adjectives the fruits and vegetables.
And now that adjectives the local businesses have be shut down, these mega marts are raising their prices, up and up and up on a weekly, save daily font. Some items we used to buy have gone from $2 to $9 within about a year's time. This is how these mega-marts work: procure rid of the little local businesses with super low prices, afterwards jack the prices back up 1000%.
I used to own a bakery, and we'd market jam for let's read aloud $4.60 a jar with a intensely expensive wholesale price of $2.50. The superstore down the street sells like peas in a pod thing for $2.00 -- how could we compete? We couldn't and in a minute we are gone, but the price of jam go up and up at the superstore now that the competition is gone.
So yes, boycott walmart, but also boycott adjectives those other mega marts -- all those faceless corporations -- those big-box stores. Shop where on earth the actual owners are right there standing within front of you. Sure, it will cost more money, but look at the big picture.

Laws come and go by state, but generally speaking, most companies, and Old Navy is included pay cheque bi-weekly. When you start at a company you recieve a check for how many ever hours/days you worked during the payment period that you started within. Say if you started halfway through the reimburse period you wouldn't single recieve a weeks worth of check when everyone else was man paid for two weeks. When you quit or are fired, this is when policy differs. A few companies will cut you a check for the money they owe you inside a day or two of your termination. Most companies however clear you wait till when everyone else get their check. Also I've known 4 nation who have worked at Old Navy, and every single one of them own had hassle getting their final paycheck. Each one of them had to procure lawyers in the past Old Navy would finally hand over their paychecks. Don't ask me why, but it is a somewhat distrubing trend.
