Has anyone used Care One Credit Counseling?
If so did it help your credit? Or clear it worse? ... My credit score is horrendous as of right now but the agent from Care One said that as soon as the program starts it will increase my credit mark because the accounts are going to be current??Any Advice??
Answers: This can actually form your credit worse. Many times services like this filch months to get everything set up beside the credit card companies for you. Meanwhile you are sending your money to them and the accounts are not being compensated.
They also set things up to be paid over a specific amount of time. this does return with the accounts paid stale, but your payments will not decrease as the balance are paid down (a problem if you obligation some cash flow) and you might not be shown as anyone out of a credit counseling agreement with some creditors until adjectives of the creditors are paid sour.
Check out the FTC site as was suggested above. It will submission you some alternatives to CareOne.
im using them now for afew months havent checked my credit bc i know its fruitless period!...
but if you are paying unpaid .. they will get you on track, plus acquire your rates reducedand eliminated the piling fees ...
as you be in motion along you can drop creditors from the program as you start paying them off and grasp back on track... IMO i cant suppose it making your credit worse!... BUT I DO not think it make its soo much better either.. honourable luck!
Run like hell. You can individual have discrepant reports removed from your credit narrative. No one can remove bad history from the credit reports that are accurate. The FTC says that this is a fritter away of your time and money.

Amex % bloodbath me!!?
I have a TrueEarnings Card from American Express, and their interest rate ( 18%) is butchery me, I don't even remember why I got this, is nearby a credit card from AMEX with a lower % that let you carry over a match with out so much interest, but for I'm thinking of just closing my sketch with them.Answers: If you enjoy a good return history with them you may want to contact them to see if they will lower it. You can transmit them that you will close the account and use some other company's card. Sometimes this will carry a lower interest rate.
That being said, I would stimulate you not to use any credit cards at all. Yes, I did read out that out loud! Using your own money for purchases (cars, emergency, food, clothing, everything) forms much better habits. Plus, you after don't need to verbs about dignified interest rates or trying to move balances around. Cash is king!!
With the path credit is now, you call for extra great credit to get a completely low interest rate on plastic. You should not be ever carrying a balance.
If you obligation to carry a set off, then you are not controlling your urges. If you cannot afford to foot it off within cash, later you certainly cannot afford to charge it.
The just thing to charge on a credit card if you are within the I can't pay for it right very soon mode, is medical emergencies, and saloon emergencies. You don't entail to charge gifts to the girlfriend that you cannot afford. If she is demanding, then obtain a new girlfriend.
If you must transport a balance, after check the website below.
Your percentage rate is based notably on your credit score. I hold an AMEX card which allows me to carry over balance and my interest rate is at 9% and has be for the last 5 years.
I would not recommend closing the card as that could eliminate your credit history. 15% of your score is base on length of credit history.
Try to keep almost 3 credit cards. In the perfect world, the bureaus similar to to see a 1-2-3 ratio. One mortgage, 2 installment loans, & 3 credit cards.
If you don't like the % rate lately don't use the card. Use another card until your rate is lowered. Keep the card opened however, unless you enjoy like 10 credit cards open.
Try not to open up up to date credit cards either, unless you don't hold 3 credit cards already.
