They are a bunch of scammers. They charge ridiculous fees and all they do is distribute letters to the credit reporting agencies disputing everything denial as "not mine". You can dispute stuff on your credit file for free. If it's wrong, it comes sour, if it's yours, it stays.
Plus you have to pass them all your ID information - nickname, address, SSN, birthdate, and they get your credit report, which contains adjectives your credit card info. The people that work near are not very reputable - what a course to open yourself up to ID embezzlement.

Get rid of the cards. Credit cards and obsessing near the fico score brings nil but debt as you well know.

Pay as you turn. Live on less than you engender and you will have money.

How long can a credit card company chase you for outstanding arrears?

Answers: in the UK there is generally a limitation of 6 years from the time the dfault notice is served. If they have not started formal action after 6 years it is unlikely that they will be able to - only exception is arrears on a mortgage which could be up to 10 years. if credit card companies havent chased you for 6 years its tough on them.
For as long as they know how & where to get intouch w/you.
Or, untill thy sell your Debt to a Collection Agency, then THEY'LL hound you!
Unpaid Debt isn't written off as much as it used to be and Declaring B'kcy has become HARDER ( he passed a Law making it harder to Declare) thanks to bush. He's always thinking of his Big Corporate buddies!
Each state has a statute of limitations in which a company can attempt to collect an unpaid debt. Usually they will write off the debt and sell it to a collection agency who will attempt to collect the debt, sometime the same debt is transferred to several different agencies throughout it's course.

Negative information can only be reported on you credit report for 7yrs (bankruptcy for 10yrs). And the same negative info can only be reported once. So if you have the same debt showing up multiple times on your credit report (under different companies) it can be disputed. However activity on an account can sometimes restart the statute of limitations on that debt.
Any credit card companies can pursue for at least 7 years. Actually, there is no limit how long they can pursue, it is only the rule that it should be removed from the credit reporting agency. They can also kept this information forever internally. If you try to open an account with them, they do not have to grant you credit. If you did file BK, they can not pursue further if you had paid whatever the court had agreed.
If the comapny havea court judgement, it can stay on your credit report at least 10 years. If the company has refiled, it can be extended for another 10 years.
Hott Doggiez is correct.

Each state has a statue of limitations stating how long a creditor/collection agency has to sue you for the debt. This ranges from 3-10 years.

After the SoL expires, they can still attempt to collect but they cannot sue you, so they are a dog that can bark but not bite. If the SoL has passed, a simple cease and desist letter will stop the barking too.
