Credit Questions and Answers

Does the money that I owe contained by student loans factor into my credit rack up?

I am trying to manage my credit better and I hold read on here that it's best to use less than 30% of your total credit allowance, if not your credit score might drop. When figure out how much of my credit allowance I am using, do I factor in how much I owe on my student loans as very well? What about a motor loan that I am a secondary signer on? Does that dance on my credit score as ably? Thanks!

Answers: All debts factor into your credit score whether you are the primary signer or the co-signer.
I am not sure in the region of being the subsidiary signer. Do you mean co-signer? If so, yes, the student loan, auto loan, and this co-signing loan adjectives take into consideration for your credit evaluation. Because that mean you own lower ability to retribution back loans and credit cards.

Ive have amex for 6 months i checked my bill online and it said charging priv.. suspended?

Answers: I'd similar to to help but I inevitability more information. Can you update and explain what you mean? AMEX is asking you to convey them a copy of your tax return? Something sounds fishy.

Thanks for the update. The guy below seems to own the same judgment as I do.
AmEx couldn't verify your income from your credit report -- probably because a significant part of it doesn't show on credit reports.

so they're asking for proof of your income. this happen to self-employed people adjectives the time.

if it doesn't show on your tax return [child support, for instance] they may closing up wanting that, too.

normal procedures.

if you're mortified with sending your charge info to the bank [or AmEx -- not sure who the actual issuer is here] where it'll be reviewed by someone who looks at hundreds to thousands of these a month and thus can't recollect anything at all something like any single one of them, don't.

they'll either opt to like you anyway or they won't.

why didn't you gain a card from your regular bank? they'd probably approaching you just fine base solely on the length and quality of your checking report record next to them.
Credit card company routinely audit applications and/or review accountholder's credit reports. Something in one of these processes must own tripped a red flag which requires verification of your income. Asking for this information is not an unreasonable request by the mound and is provided for in the inspired cardjolder agreement you signed.
If you decide not to provide the information the mound may not continue your charging privileges. Feel free to inquire directly next to themas to the specifi reason they are requesting the info also. They shoud be liable to answer.

I'm a student trying to get a credit card. I don't know which company to go with. any advice.?

Answers: Hate to tell you this but the best rate I found was with GE Money (if they're still doing the card).

They don't advertise but if you go on one of those comparison websites you'll usually find out they're the best.

Be sure to shop around and get the lowest APR possible.

Also be sure not to go overboard on the thing as student debt is enough without that hanging around your neck as well.
most credit card companies advertise at schools.
try to go with the ones with the lowest fees and longest grace period.
make sure you can pay back at least the min payments on time otherwise don't bother with credit cards.
You usually dont really need a credit card until you start working.
I personally prefer Chase over Citi but really hate both of them. As someone else suggested your local bank in your neighborhood often has the best deals
dont get amex they periodically do finacial reviews in youre account to see if you can afford the card and then they will cancel youre card
