when i be approved for a car loan i be given a super jhigh interest rate and i dont think its f¨ºte. It also says my birth year is 85 when its in actuality 87. Can I sue? What do i do?
Answers: I have deal with credit information issues. First, you don't sue the credit bureau because they solely report the information being given to them by the lenders (credit card companies, bank, car loan companies, etc...) Credit bureaus usually steal identity theft seriously and want to comfort you, although there may be profoundly of red tape to win to the end resolution. Here is where on earth you need to start:
1. First, ring each of the three credit bureaus, ask for a free credit report. This can also be done online. Look over your report alertly with a highlighter and fleck everything that is not correct for you.
2. Next, ring each credit bureau and ask for the fraud department. Tell them you hold recently view your credit report and have found numerous errors (be organized to list respectively and every error) and believe someone else has be using your information to open up lines of credit. In my defence some of the information was resolved by the credit bureau. Other things they told me I have to contact the creditor, explain the error on my report, ask them to resend the correct information to the credit bureaus. When you do this, you MUST follow up to make sure it be removed. This may take 30-90 days because some companies transport their credit reporting information on a monthly basis, others on a quarterly argument.
3. It will take time, dynamism, tons of phone calls, and lots of follow-up. Your sister may enjoy to write a statement to the creditor claiming her part of the mis-information on your report to speed things along.
You can receive an attorney to help push things along but you can'y sue them in need proof of negligence.
Best wishes.
I think you should contact the credit bureau and ask them to clear out your situation. I'm not comparatively sure you can sue them for it... but you should just put the things right and correct your credit profiles. Probably, mistakes appeared because you haven't checked your reports for a long time. Be sure to check your credit report once a year and embezzle it from all the central bureaus to check out if they are identical.
