Prepaid Visa Card?

How do they work, is there a consistent amount you must put on it, and is there a tax you have to take-home pay besides the money you put in it, does it expire, where on earth do they sell them?

Answers: We go to Walmart and bought a prepaid Visa. This is not a giftcard Visa. It was 8.94 for 1 card or 14 something for two cards. You run them home, call the number and trigger them. They send you unsullied cards with your name printed on them just close to a regular credit card. If you take a printed (not handwritten) paycheck within to any Walmart at customer service, they will put this amount on your card for free. If you take brass, the cost will be around 4.80 to put the money on your card. My husband travels ALOT, and I love that he can put money on the card at any Walmart and I can use it on my card at home (we bought the set of 2). We have not have any problems with Walmartmoneycard.com and their transaction page online is tremendously easy to read between the lines. Good Luck!!

Yes you can only spend what you put on them and can restock them anytime. I got mine here http://easyprepaidvisa.com in that is $0 activation fee near a $4.95 monthly charge. The walmart cards are too expensive.

Answers: yes, I went to credit counselling. It help a lot. I go to Credit Counselling of Regional Niagara. http://www.ccrn.ca/default.htm
It is a non profit organization. They consolidated adjectives of our debt and made arrangements with the creditors to adopt minimal payments. I only have 1 small payment to receive to ccrn each month. It took almost 3 years to pay bad our debt, but after that, my credit rating started to go up again. And within the meantime, I was competent to save a few dollars. Of course, I did not hold kids, so that might make a difference. If you are not contained by Ontario, then I don't know what to describe you. I'm sure the other provinces have impossible to tell apart sort of thing. Check out the website and contact them and ask if they hold a sister organization surrounded by the province that you are in.
virtuous luck.
First of all, congrats on planning ahead and have goals.

With that said, me intuitively would never even consider CCS. It goes on your credit and looked at nearly as desperate as a BK

13k I'm sure feels similar to a lot, but it's not.trust me.

Put adjectives your credit cards in writ of highest interest, to lowest. Focus every penny on the utmost interest rate until its paid stale. Then move to the next..etc etc etc

If your credit is still dutiful, consider using 0 interest cards. (read all fine print)
If you cannot live and reimburse for the necessities of life on what you earn as a stipend then you will never be debt-free. Using credit cards or other forms of "debt" will merely get you deeper into the problem. It's too jammy to use credit/debt when a problem comes up. Start learning how to cope next to problems as if you never had a credit card. Learn how to fashion do with what you own. You already know what you need to do. The with the sole purpose reason you would see a credit counselor is to find out if you can preserve borrowing money and maintain your credit rating. That NEVER works!! As for owning house, that's a falsehood. You will never own a house even if the mortgage is compensated off because the minute you can't repay your property taxes it will be taken away from you by the government. So how can you own a house when the bankers or the administration can take it away from you... even if it took you 30 years to salary off the mortgage??

Live inwardly your means and you will be much happier.

How does bleak credit come past its sell-by date your credit report once you own passed the 7 year deadline?

Some delinquent reports on my credit report are due to fall past its sell-by date this year. Will they come off my report automatically or is at hand something that I should do once the fall past its sell-by date date has passed?

Answers: typically they come stale but after another month or so and they dont come off afterwards contact the bureau and request that it be removed
Usually they fall past its sell-by date on their own, sometimes you have to remind the credit bureaus to remove them.
