The BEST credit card out at hand -Mastercard, VISA, etc?

I'm 28 y/o & I have an excellent credit evaluation!
I just bought a home (on my own/no co buyer) & I'm looking to bring back a credit card.
I also have other credit cards that I'm paying stale soon & insted of dept store cards I want to downsize to something I can use anywhere.

WHICH card has the lowest intrest rate that you'd recommend.

Please include a relationship -so I can research as well.

Thanks a bunch!

Answers: I in recent times got a RBS Mastercard next to a 6.99% fixed rate for balance transfers, and purchases. It's not an introductory rate. You can also walk to bankrate.com, and compare most credit card rates, and offers.
Make sure you catch a credit card with a visa or mastercard logo because these are official at more places.

I provided the link below because it get state specific. Good luck.
If you have solitary one card do not get a Discover Card. The Discover Card is not usable everywhere that Visa or Mastercard are and you will never enjoy a place that will only cart the Discover Card.
I have a card that give me a percentage back which usually give me a few hundred dollars a year back. I also repay it off monthly so the credit card company loses money beside me.
Go to cardweb.com to find the best cards on apr rates travel miles etc

How do I dispute something on my credit?

I got a copy of my credit report and I own a credit card bill for $850.00 for a NextCard someone got within 2002 I NEVER had a credit card....how do I fix it?? I looked up NextCard and the number be disconnected, HELP!!

Answers: whom ever you got your credit report from...you dispute it at hand

they (the bureau) will contact that creditor and they have 30 days to respond...if they don't next the bureau will contact you (via letter) and let you know that it will be removed

if the creditor is reach and they respond they must then submit proof to be exact YOUR debt; if they can't provide proof then it have to be removed

..
write to the credit reporting agencies disputing the claim.
Give them all the information from your report referencing the story number etc.
They will contact NextCard to verify.
Then it's up to NextCard to prove it was you.
1. File a fraud report near your local P.D

2. goto www.freecreditreport.com and get a copy of adjectives 3 credit reports (experian, equifax, transunion) using this website requires you to set up an account, and it usually give you a 30 day trial, be sure to stop if you dont want to pay the monthly fee's of credit monitoring.

3.I believe this website will agree to you dispute Items with al l3 bureaus (include your record number with the P.D) IF they dont tolerate you dispute online, they will give you an address to messages disputes to.

4. You should receive the results of the investigation from the credit reports within 2-4 weeks.
Don't follow omfgitsrobmoney's direction, as he is incorrect. One incorrect listing on your credit report is not end in enough to turn get the police involved, nor is it a pious indicator of identity theft.

Things acquire reported on the incorrect person's report all the time, and it's usually as simple as an accounting or computer error.

Sharon is in part correct. First you must contact the credit bureaus and dispute the item with them. They will contact the creditor and verify that this information is correct.

However, this is where on earth Sharon and Ann Igram are now WRONG.

When the credit bureaus contact a creditor, they are contained by essence only asking if the register is correct. They do NOT request any proof, as that has to be done by you through by what is call a "debt validation" letter. So simply this what the conversation would look like, surrounded by very simplified jargon.

Credit Bureau: "So we got this dispute here from Mrs. Smith motto that this item you listed on her credit report is incorrect, cart a look a make sure it is infact correct."

Creditor: "Hmmm...programmed in 2002...yeah, looks correct to me"

Credit Bureau: "Alright, gratefulness for your time."

Go ahead and dispute it with the credit bureaus. Chances are next to it being that matured the creditor will simply have better things to do and not respond, which will front to it being removed. If they come put money on and say it is correct, your subsequent step is the debt validation letter.

Statute of Limitations - acct open within OH, immediately live surrounded by CA?

My card was open in Ohio. After I moved to CA, my credit factor was raise significantly and my interest rate changed a couple times. When the interest rate changed I was given the substitute of closing the account or accepting the unusual rate and included was a exotic booklet with information on the latest terms of the article. Since then I enjoy had some rugged times and the account have been charged bad. Which state's statute of limitations would apply here?

Answers: This is always a tricky sound out. In order for you to be sued by any collection agency, they would own to file against you, within the state at which you reside.

California has a 4 year "legal" SOL, and is a garnishable state.
Since you default on the account surrounded by CA, that should be the state. However, Ohio has a much longer SOL and a collector might try to use that to plus.

Keep in mind that the SOL is the timeframe to bring lawsuit. Even if the debt is beyond the SOL, the collector can still contact you for reward. They can follow you to the grave.
