Credit Questions and Answers

How can i payoff what is on my credit report?

Answers: Just go to www.annualcreditreport.com and get a copy of your report and contact the creditors, this website is the only truly free credit report website, without buying another service when you get your "free-credit-report" You can also go to a credit restoration company, have some of the creditors deleted, and then negotiate down to pay pennies on the dollar.
The question seems straightforward. Get a copy of your credit report (www.freecreditreport.com or elsewhere). Contact the people who it lists as you owing money to. Pay them, noting that you want them to tell the credit agencies that it is paid.

What CREDIT CARD can i get with bad BAD CREDIT !?

Answers: There are several cards you can get, but expect to pay an annual fee and very high interest rates. Try to find the one with the lowest annual fee and be sure to pay off your balance every month. I would recommend you get one and start building up your credit now. Visit www.creditcards.com for some options. I've also listed an article below that may help you. Good Luck.
my husband got a Capitol One card with bad credit, and used it to raise his credit. he bought gas with it, and paid it off EVERY month. since he paid it off, his credit went up.

why do you need a card? is it so you can just buy things? or are you trying to raise your score? make sure you are responsible with it.
Bad credit? Not the end of the world, but it's not something you're going to be able to fix overnight. The road back to good credit takes some time.

First save up a few hundred dollars and use it as security for a "secured credit card" (Not a pre-paid card, a "secured" card). This will be a credit card with a limit equal to your deposit. You will have to make payments, and your activity will be reported to the credit bureaus.

Use the card sparingly (VERY FEW TRANSACTIONS, paid off every month BEFORE the due date), and after 6 months to a year your credit score should show some improvement (this depends of how badly your credit was damaged before).

Get your credit report and score. If you're back to decent credit'ish then apply for an unsecured card. If there is still improvement needed then continue to use the secured card sparingly.

Repeat as needed.

How do i find out if anyone is using my kids social security number?

Answers: I'd use your free annual credit report. Put in the kids SSN and information to see what is showing up on the credit history.

There is only one credit report that is actually free without any consequences to your credit. However, you can only do it once a year and you can get the credit report from each of the three major credit reporting sites.

Check out: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/cred... This will bring you to www.annualcreditreport.com.

Any of the other sites will have an adverse effect on your credit! Only this one, supported by the government will have no impact on your credit score.
