How do we close credit card accounts short record "negative" credit?

We don't have any problem beside credit cards...we just don't want to own some of them anymore. We continue reading that to close an side for any reason cause your credit rating to go DOWN.
Why is this, and how can we close the accounts lacking it showing negatively?

We are winning the "credit game" at this point, and i want to hold on doing just that. And it IS a team game...a disgusting one at that.

Answers: The reason for this is that it change your debt to credit ratio which makes up for 30% of your mark.

Say you have 10-cards beside $5,000.00 limits and balance of $2,500.00 on 5 of them your debt to credit ratio is 25%.

If you close the 5 that have no stability then your debt to credit ratio jump to 50% and your score go down anytime you usage goes over 30%.

On the other mitt if you have no match on any of the cards, it should not affect your score, the history will still show you will a moment ago lose the credit limit.

If you do close some of them try and close the most modern ones first since the time accounts have be open also counts.
When you close an side, you are reducing your overall "available" credit line. Even if you don't use a card, it's better to hold it open than to close it.

If you do close an tale, close those with the LOWEST dash of credit, while keeping the higher define accounts open.
If you do want your chalk up to not be negatively affected consequently you will want to leave the accounts uncap and just not use the cards. However, I enjoy had credit cards that started charging a monthly allowance because of non-usage. If they start doing that I would recommend you close it.

However, I am in duplicate boat as Shipps (no pun intended). I don't plan on using debt to get ahead. The "credit game" is not one I plan on playing ever again if I can lend a hand it. Too many things might step wrong. I kind of look at it as a spend of time. I buy something with my credit card that I could own paid for next to my own money. Then I have to remember to rate back the credit card or I will payment MORE for the item (late fees and penalties). No thanks...
If you're close to me, you don't want to borrow money for the rest of your life. The Borrower is Slave to the Lender. MY husband and I closed adjectives of our credit card accounts last year. We are committed to paying dosh for everything for the rest of our lives. If you can pay dosh for things you buy, you don't need a credit win. It doesn't matter.

A lot of citizens ask, what about mortgages? If you can't pay cheque cash, you find a lender that does instruction book underwriting. They look at you and your situation and the MONEY that you own, not the credit.

People don't realize that you don't have to worship at the altar of FICO.
DO NOT close them, simply cut them up or shred them. Just verbs them and stop using them, if you do not carry a go together they will not sent you monthly statements.
