Anyone know of small loan companies within London? Not Provident please?
I'm looking for samll loan of 500pounds but have credit problems at the moment. These will be resolved extremely shortly but I need to take the 500 quickly. Have no tale apart from Halifax Easycash. Have checked small ads etc and come up beside nothing.. No family connections to turn to and friends in same boat as me. Any bright philosophy please? THanks. Or even any benefacors out there? Im on the dole but have regular income from social. Could afford 20pounds a week to repay initially. This is extremely urgent and within is a lot at stake here. How do I buy something from an out-of-state seller on craigslit? How to make payment and avoid scam?
Answers: I just went thru this. Actually Craigslist plasters all over their site the Advice: "Do not buy or sell to those outside your area"
It's actually good advice. Here;s what I would do though anyway: Verify the items price etc, shipping date and get a tracking number. AND agree to pay by PAYPAL. Tens of millions of persons have a paypal account. You can even have Paypal debit your credit card so that if the seller never ships the goods OR the goods are defective, you will have recourse with PAYPAL. AND your credit card company.
You may not win in a dispute, but you will have the backup of your credit card company (since that is what Paypal drew funds on) to further dispute and attempt a chargeback.
Short of this method, which I know won;t work for everyone, anything else would involve sending cash and then you are at the seller's mercy (so to speak)
Number 1 - don't do it.
Number 2 - if a deal looks too good to be true it probably is
Number 3 - if you ignore 1 & 2, consider using an escrow service where you pay for the item but the seller doesn't get paid until you are satisfied with the transaction. Cash on Delivery is also a workaround but more risky for the seller.
How can one obtain a personal or business loan with very little credit history?
Answers: A true business credit card is a line of credit that is taken in the name of the business, under the business' credit. Activity, whether good or bad, is reflected on your business' credit report through D&B and other financial institutions, and the liability for any debts incurred and bills owed is with the business.
However, some companies out there offer "business" credit cards which they require a person guarantee for. These institutions will often ask for a personal guarantee, and will almost always ask for a social security number from the person applying for the card. If this is the case, the credit card is not a business credit card, but is simply a personal credit card which is used for the business. The business is not liable for bills and debts - you are.
When applying for a credit card for your business, watch out for areas asking for your SSN (and not your TaxID or EIN) and be wary of any credit card that asks for a personal guarantee. By ensuring that your credit card is in the name of your business, you can help to build your business' credit, while avoiding creating problems with your own.
Many companies offer a list of credit cards that are issued under the business name only. Those lists typically run $300-$900, depending on the quality of the information inquiring. I would suggest starting your search online via G00GLE or yahoo. Search for "strong business credit" (just like that in quotes) to find services that sell the information.
Good luck,
