Does anyone know what methods are used for tracing by credit collections agencies??
Answers: I used to do skip tracing, that is, try to locate debtors. I would pull their credit report and then call the other creditors the debtor had done business with and ask if they had current contact information. The creditros typically cooperate with one another because one day, they'll be looking for someone too.
Beyond that, there are public record searches also but, my work rarely came to that.
I seriously think that they use the POST OFFICE! Seriously, everytime I move my bank seems to know where I am. I do think that the bank sends notes that say DO NOT FORWARD! So when the note goes back to the bank it has the information on the new address. So if you are hiding from someone, be sure what you give the post office or they will find you without much effort.
I also pulled my credit report a few months ago and noticed that my work address was on there so they might be able to pull your credit (soft pull) and find you there.
dont really know. I really only have one bill collector hounding me
Credit check, if they have your driver's license or driver license # they can skip trace through the bureau who issued the driver license, post office, bank, title companies, landlord, friends, relatives, neighbors, utility companies. Creditors will stop at nothing to get their money back
My husband and I get aft on some credit cards and plan on paying them soon, problem w/ them calling...?
A few of my husband's creditors call probably 15 times per light of day. Sometimes I'll talk to them, they find nasty when I explain the situation and still keep hold of calling and calling and calling. Isn't that considered harassment? He's get 3-4 that do this, so yes, my phone rings off the hook from 8:00 am -9:00 pm. Is in attendance anything I can do short of giving them all of our money and not paying our house gift so I can get these darn credit cards to go away us in peace for a sunshine??!Answers: You have a right to bring up to date the creditors to not contact you by phone anymore only by correspondence. If they continue they can achieve sued. Then send them packages asking if they can reduce the interest rate. A lot of companies will do that but don't go and get discouraged if some don't. Go to creditinfocenter.com they have great counsel. I used a lot of thier concept and it helped me so much to attain back on track and work on my credit mark. Good luck...
You can add your mobile number to the national do not call enumerate and that may help a bit. You can also register a complaint via the online pattern form at the below link !

Good Luck !
Caller ID can help to an extent but a great deal of those calls come from private numbers so you don't really know who is calling. (i.e. anyone near an unlisted number - friends?) Unfortunately, the creditors can call you as commonly as they want until you either set up a sum plan, make their minimum costs or pay them stale. Once you do, I would start canceling the credit cards.
The "Do Not Call" national registry only applies to those trying to trade you something and not to creditors.
Best thing to do is to stop man your husband's shield and have him settle to them to deal beside HIS debt. That's what they want and they'll likely discuss some sort of wage arrangements and not ask for the full amount due. Just discussing arrangements with them help. 15 times per day is indeed grounds for a harassment complaint. Just maintain records of the call coz the creditors certainly won't. I wouldnt' put up beside that.
But just for a moment or two revenge and to annoy the callers, ask them to hold and lately leave them on hold for a while, come put a bet on and say it'll of late be another minute and repeat, do this until he gives up. Chances are, he have other calls to variety and goals to come upon and keeping him/her on the line as long as possible short actually getting anything done prevents him from getting his duty done. Not saying avoid responsibility and accountability, but calling 15 tiimes a light of day everyday isn't ethical business practices regardless of who owes what.
It's not THEIR fault you be so immature that YOU abused YOUR credit when YOU spent TOO MUCH.
You hold 2 choices... move to the middle of a desert somewhere or pay what you owe.
I know money is tight but is nearby anyway you can go to radio shack and capture a tape recorder that hooks up to your phone. When they phone call...
Azzholes: Is so and so home
You: this call is individual recorded. Who is this (they enunciate who they are) Please do not make futher contact beside us via phone and I am requesting that futher contact from your company to us by made by mail. THEN swing up!
**
If they continue to beckon you now you hold proof that they are harrassing you! SUE THEM use the money you win to pay them stale
UPDATE*********
Please do not let the comments of the poster above upset you!
She does not know you or your husband from a can of paint.
Debt surrounded by america is a way of natural life. Everyone owes everyone something (mortgages, car resume etc). Losing a job can be concrete for your husband. I am glad he as a wife like you explicitly in for the long lug. The last item that he needs is to enjoy to deal near them at a time where he is reaction pretty bad. Tell him to droop in near and things will get better.
Best wishes.
And remember your debt does not describe you or him.
Hi. Sorry to hear about ure husbands.. Everything is going to work out if you keep hold of ure heads up. U voice you have 3-4 credit cards after ure husband lost his chore its going to be hard to juggle of diffferent payments. This is probably the best move you can breed at this time. Get a debt consolidation loan and payoff all ure credit cards and build it all one monthly recompense at a lower rate. With that isnt not as confusing and you save thousands within interest payments. Those credits will start to jack their rates and ones it gets to 20% and up its going to be sturdy to get out. SO look for a consolidation loan or personal loan. somebody Credit one of my website sponsor off Guaranteed Loans. Maybe look into it. Its going to be alot cheaper to walk that way. Good luck i hope everythign works out for you.
