If you have a social security number (and you probably dont) then you can start with a secured credit card to help create and build your credit
applying for a regular credit card wouldn't be good because there is nothing there and they wont approve you
but you MUST have a social security number before you can apply for any type of credit
If you just came to the US then you do not have any credit at this time eventually you will start to build your credit. I suggest a secured credit card with a company that is trustworthy, Bank of America has these especially for that very reason. Get one and pay off the balance each month do this for about a year, it seems long but a year will go by faster than you thought. It will take some time but be patient eventually you will have good credit.

Ok, so i've made a few or bunch of mistakes when it comes to my personal finances and credit. If you could offer proposal it would be greatly appreciated.I've been living by cashing my paychecks and using money directives for the last year. I have a death surrounded by my family which head to a loss of job and my BofA checking description going over it's limit. I owe $770 to them. First, is in that any possibiliity that considering my circumstances they would give me a second coincidence if i have direct deposit? I hold home just over 3k per month, adjectives of which i could have deposited directly from my employer to the ridge. If you don't think this is possible, do you enjoy a reccomendation for a bank of a mind to take a risk on someone?
Also, my credit mark is around 600. I got a saloon loan two months back near insane intrest, but i'm hoping that making the payments will build my credit. If i have outstanding debt from 10 years ago, is it worth it to capture my credit report and clear these items? Please help!10pts.
Answers: If you proposal to pay the money, they may reopen your statement. It happened to me beside another bank, years ago. Plus, anything bar bankruptcy shouldnt stay on your reports more than 7 years.
