Credit Card officially recognized SOL within California?
What is the STARTING CLOCK for the unsecured debt statute of limitations per California law (allowing creditors to sue you). I'm have trouble pinning it down. Specifically is it:- date of your last expenditure
- date of your last actual use of the card
- date of the DUE DATE on your bill that you missed, when you stopped paying
- date when you first go 30 days late
- date of charge past its sell-by date, etc.
Please don't say "date of later delinquency" without explaining because explicitly utterly ambiguous.
Answers: It should be the date your account be last current. Checkout thesites nominated for CA info. And do not offer to settle up the collection agency a partial payment surrounded by exchange for a "payment within full" on your report. It is a scam and they never follow through and can still resell your debt.
