Signature when disputing items on credit report?
I have see some people beside answers here stating that you should never put your signature on a letter when disputing items on your credit report. Can someone explain to me why i.e.?Thanks in credit.
Answers: EMT is right when it comes to collectors and signatures.
A persons signature may leap from one paper to another thesis the person have never originally signed. (It has be known to come to pass that)
With collectors only type your label or print your initials
When disputing with the CRA's, file complaints with the FTC, BBB, AG, etc., it's ok to sign beside your signature
Because some disreputable collection agencies will magically produce your signature on their paperwork. It is best to print your name.
How long does a judgement stay on your credit report? from the state of wiscinsin?
Answers: It will remain on your credit report for 7 years from the date of judgement stay to your credit report.
Items can stay on your credit reports for 7 years. Now do you know if the court that has the judgement verifies requests from the Credit Reporting Agencies (aka CRA like TransUnion)? Some people had judgements in counties that do not verify info to CRAs. THus they simply asked teh CRAs to verify the information and if they did so then asked them to send proof of how they verified the information. If they can provide this information they have to remove it from your credit report. BUT if your court does verify then you're possible stuck with it for 7 years unless it is reporting incorrectly.
