Question almost Consumer Credit Counsiling?
I have a friend w/ stellar credit, but the problem is... she is within so much debt, she has little to no money for herself after she pays adjectives her credit card bills. She has already consolidated, gotten no-interest rate cards and done adjectives that. Can or will consumer credit counsiling help her? If so... any suggestion on what they will do? She is predisposed to lower her fica score a bit, if have need of be. Thanks.Answers: Her fica score will be lowered anyway--either by time within debt or accepting help from a CCC service; it's best to run CCC.
Have her ready to present ALL current debt bills w/ the recentmost balance, at least 4 consecutive employment payroll statements and an average months worth of all utility bills.
And hold her brace up for some hard financial facts.
A CCC service will crunch the numbers, neogiate a fixed lower monthly credit card donation plan (which is where the lower fica evaluation happens), and then will hold laid out a budget that is tight--but managable. From in that, it's up to your friend to religiously adhere to the budget w/ strict discipline. Oh...and cut up or shred ALL the credit cards.
Your friend also might own to discontinue a few other comforts like a cell phone details, movie and/or video game rentals.and conceivably even stepping down a satellite or cable bill package.
Be her friend and stick w/ her through this, for "the journey" from debt w/ CCC relief can be scary and long..but worth it overall.
CCS reflect very negatively on your credit.
To open, they contact your creditors and basically utter this customer owes $5000 but we are only predisposed to pay $2500 and one and only $30 per month.
In the future when she is trying to achieve a loan, creditors will be reluctant because want is their security that she won't put them surrounded by ccs (and they don't get paid) too.
She should contact the companies herself and request lower payments or lower interest rates, you would be surprised how lots companies will do this!
CCS should be the last choice!
Interest rates on financed loans and credit card debt are very soaring and when you consider the penalties and unpunctually fees, many culture get caught surrounded by the debt trap. They drag themselves deeper into the debt by paying only the minimum amount. It is simply then that they realize the requirement for getting assistance from a reputed consumer credit counselor. This situation arises because they do not completely understand the working of the system. When using the services of an experienced consumer credit advisor, you not just save money but also lower your debt.

There are deeply of misconceptions about CCC and Debt Management Programs contained by general.
When you sign up next to a Debt Management Program, you are generally surrounded by trouble(or close to it). So your credit score should be your least possible concern. These companies work with your creditors to lower your interest rate. They DO NOT lower the amount owed. You are still paying equal amount but at a lower rate so it gets salaried off sooner. You build one payment to the DMP every month and they disperse the clearing to the creditors. Any company that says that they will negociate a lower expenditure is probably a debt settlement program and they can actually do more violate to your credit than they can help it.
This does several things. If you be behind on your payments after a couple of months you later become current. So all of the collection call stop. Each month you are on the DMP it shows you are current, which is a positive factor.
Now, while you are on the program your credit report is noted that you are in a DMP so getting hot credit is very thorny. However, if you are in a program getting credit is probably the closing thing you entail. But once you are done this notation is removed. You then enjoy no debt and at least a few months of positive pay-out history. This will often offer you better credit than when you started the DMP.
