I have hear about credit repair companies that can go and get negatives rotten your credit report but have hear that there are alot of frauds out within too. Do it yourself. Nolo Press have a book on "Credit Repair." Either buy it or go to the library. Also, a great book is "Good Credit is Sexy."

The only true repair for legal bad debts/late payments/etc is time. Anyone that tell a consumer that they can make that non-attendance on a credit card go away is committing fraud.
Now, if you enjoy items on your report that are not correct, you can fix them yourself by contacting the credit agency. If you get a copy of your credit report online here is usually an option for respectively item to dispute the validity.
