I've have credit for just about 2 years.?
I've gotten a copy of all three of my credit reports and they articulate that "you have have credit for less than three years, this lowers your mark." Does anyone know how much your score can step up once you reach three years of well brought-up payment history? How something like three years of good stipend with multiple cards?Answers: Length of credit is not big factor within one's credit score. Not cards single but , car loan for few monthes , along next to a store credit card should bring your score up slightly a bit.

You need to save, invest and only buy things with money that you have. Why are you asking to become a slave to the bank?

Another option - get a debit card that's attached to your checking account. Then you can only spend the money that's on deposit in your account. You can use them anywhere (including online) that Visa or Mastercard (depending on the logo on your card) are accepted.
You could check with a credit union or a bank. Depending on your balances you may or may not be able to get a new card. Set a plan to pay off the cards ASAP. If you have to get a better job or a second job to pay them off DO IT. Also start living on cash, NO MORE NEW PURCHASES. Put you cards in a zip lock freezer bag, fill 1/2 way with water and put in your freezer. You can spend money on them if you can;t swipe them or see the numbers through the ice.
Credit Card debt is like slavery, your life and time not long belongs to you. It belongs to the credit card company.

The best thing to do with a credit card for balance transfers is to look for one that will lock in your rate for the life of balance transfer. Then DO NOT charge on that card.
Credit cards make money by having you pay off the lowest rate first. So if you transfer $5K at 2.99% and then charge $1K at 14.99%, any payment you make will go to paying the off the 2.99% first.
The other thing credit card companies do is look for you to go delinquent to raise your rate. When I worked for a major issuer, over 2/3 of accounts would miss a payment and be kicked out of special pricing. The moral of the story is be smarter than the credit card company.
