Answers: FICO is synonymous next to "credit score." It's a number generate about you from one of three credit reporting agencies (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion) that give lenders a quick summary more or less your credit-worthiness.

It's pretty important to know if you're getting a saloon loan or a mortgage, because if you have a high-ranking score, you can emergency a lower interest rate. That's because a high win means you've salaried your bills on time, don't hold excess debt, etc. and you're therefore a smaller number risky bet for creditors to lend money to.
Here is how your credit score works:

Payment History = 35% - This includes deferred payments, bankruptcy, and other unenthusiastic items to your already existing credit accounts.

How much credit you have available = 30% - This is a standard of how much is owed on ALL of your accounts, the # of accounts with balance and how much available credit is being used.

Length of Credit history = 15% - The longer a human being has responsibly manage their credit the better. A short credit history with apposite credit managment may score better thean a long credit history next to poor managment.

New Credit = 10% - Recently applied for credit may reduce your mark.

Other factors = 10% - A mixture of credit types will augment your credit score while singular having credit card debt may cut your score. It si expectyed that a regular credit risk person should own secured debt along with unsecured debt.
FICO represents a rack up created by Fair Isaac COmpany. They were the first company to start building credit score. They have since become synonymous next to credit scores.

Today, tons companies build credit score models. In certainty, each of the three credit bureaus own their own credit score models. They want culture to move away from the branded FICO model since the bureaus have to wages a licensing charge to Fair Isaacs for each ranking.

What's most important going on for scores is that they are adjectives highly correlated since they are built past its sell-by date the same notes (i.e your credit report).

For the most part, pick a rack up and monitor that scores 3-4 times per year to brand sure nothing funny is going on.
