How much do credit card points really attain you?
My bank offered me a 9.5% fixed rate card. But it have no incentive programs (ie, cash subsidise, flyer miles, etc)My question is:
Do credit card points really attain you much? My friend said she used her card for about $10,000 and adjectives her points got her be a few gift cards to burger king. Thats sucks.
I see Captial One give you 1 point for every dollar you spend. But how many points to you stipulation to have to really draw from anything of any value?
Same go wtih citi bank. They proffer 6,000 points upfront. But again, will that even really get you anything?
I'm merely trying to figure out if I'm better bad having the low APR, or finding a card near a higher APR, but offer points and bonuses.
Thanks for your input!
Answers: If you are going to carry a go together on the card (not pay it surrounded by full every month) then step for the card with the lowest interest rate as the interest you settle will far exceed the value of any points you may earn.
I instead pay my stability in full every month so the rewards I go and get are all free. I own one card that gives me lolly back and I use that the most (5% on gas purchases) and I acquire back hundreds of dollars every year.
I don't close to point systems. Maybe it's good, I don`t know it's not. I prefer cash rewards. Look for a bread back reward card.
Of course, the APR with the sole purpose matters if you convey a balance. It's other a good theory to pay credit cards within full every month. And if you have change back rewards, they in actuality pay you to use their money.
Points programs are great, but you a short time ago have to take care and use the card that best suits your objectives. For example, you have to digit out if you like airline miles better than hotel stays (and are you of a mind to stick with those airlines/hotels), or if you simply like cold, tough cash.
I found a small blog that have some good hints at cardfish.blogspot.com
When is ok to impose sanctions to disclose your SSN?
Is it assumed that if it's related to necessity that an SSN is required? e.g. housing, phone bill, cable, utilities, doctor office, employment. If I refuse to give my SSN to these companies, would I still hold service?Answers: You can refuse, and they can debris service. You can't win.
The only ones who can _require_ the SSN are IRS, state revenue relations, and employer. EVERYONE else really does not need that information, though most use it as your identify number, AGAINST SSA POLICY.
OTOH, those companies are not required to render service or sales to you if you don't come across their requirements.
It's your choice. If you press them, they can generate a number for you and not use the SSN, which is my personal choice. If they absolutely constraint my SSN, they lose a customer.
If they're not paying you , they don't need your SS. Seriously.
If you be talking to one and the same utility, but had pressed 2 for Spanish, they don't ask you for your SS and on the other hand they still get service.
Everywhere, except at financial place and work place.
I refuse to give it else where on earth, of course you own to be little tough on it as those hospital, dental etc guy what that magic 9 digit number.
Keeping mind that within 2007, SSN of 125 million people be lost by bank, retailer, card, hospital company etc.
If at adjectives you have to bequeath, ask them what measure you pocket to keep it undisruptive.
Government papers such as drivers license( but you should have a ghoul address) Passports , any thing where on earth legal elected representatives crap is concerned. Except however, You don't ever have to grant it to the police when questioned. Of course if you don't, They will probable beat the crap out of you and recline about why.. But legitimately you never have to . With exceptions of taxes, sec state, post organization box insurance. When you give out your ssn. be sure to fudge your address. Ghost Address. Give that one world affairs of state crap alittle resistance
Help beside credit!?
if i pay stale a default will it affect my credit rating positively or negatively and will it stay on my credit wallet for a further six years from the date paid when within is currently three years left unpaid till it drops sour?Answers: Pay off failure to pay will be a positive addition
Debt never remunerated is the same as attacker it is never removed from the bobbies neglect report.
Yes it will stay on your credit report to agree to others creditors know you do make up what you enjoy owed
You do want them to see this if you do get aft you do make up
As long as it is not a per annum or less of a repeating problem
you can negotiate beside the debtor to see if you pay it that they will delete it from you report but variety sure you have it within writing.
