Can a Credit Card Company Refuse Hardship Payment Arrangments?

I recently lost my commission and fell behind on my bills. I contacted one of my creditors which I hold 2 accounts with. I requested a financial adversity reduced monthly payment arrangements until I win back on my foot and got a voiced agreement over the phone for a certain amount, much smaller amount the the minimum. Once I made the payment the collections department for my creditor call me demanding payment surrounded by full and not honoring my arrangement I made with the credit supervision department. Since I couldn't pay within full they threatened to sue me and have my wages garnish. Why would they do that? I know they would rather enjoy it all but that' not natural at this point. And ,why would they waste time and money taking me to court when the find is just going to give an account us to come to a payment arrangement anyways, seem pointless to me. BTW my account is 120 days chronological due.

Answers: I am very sorry to hear that you lost your living.
I know that this is not part of your examine but have you thought roughly applying for unemployement benefits?
this might give you the money that you have need of to tie you over.
Also since you just lost your position, what about file for your income tax right presently.
I realize that it might only be a drop contained by the bucket but it might be a stop gap solution until a better one comes along.
LOVED marc's suggestion too!
Ok, Get ready for some harrasing call. 180 days is typically when they charge accounts off. To anwer your ask though...yes they can refuse the payments - by and large because it was choral.

With that said here is what you need to do. Do NOTHING over the phone. Send the collection company a note, stating you wish to be communicated next to via regular mail solitary. Send it certified mail, return getting requested (will cost you about 4.50

Then you involve to brush up on the FDCPA because you need to know your rights.

They cannot threaten to accessories your wages. That for example is a violation. Reason individual, only a regard as being can order that, and they cannot predict what a adjudicate may, or may not order..as a consequence its harrasment. (thats not to say they wont gain one, they just cant suggest its in the pack as a tool)

If they call your work, you own to notify them you cannot recieve calls nearby. Then they are allowed 1 more call to verify your employment, after that its a ruin of the fDCPA.

They will demand overnight payments, line transfers etc. Not required by you.

If you do decide to wages them, get their language in writing first and use money directives. do not give collection agents credit card numbers, checking acount numbers.

Now, you're a bit prepared, so make a compensation plan through regular mail individual and keep a detailed log of adjectives callls, harrasing letters etc.

Visa Debit Card to Paypal?

I have a visa debit card and i want to put the money on paypal. Do i use the credit card nouns or is there another nouns to transfer my money?

Answers: You can use it exactly similar to a Visa Credit Card if you want to.

I had no problem hooking my Chase (Then Bank One) Visa Debit to my paypal.

You have need of to give it a few days to authorise and you will want to answer a list of question whose answers you will get from your guard statement but once you do it, you are set until the experation date of the card... Then you just stipulation to update the account, not start from score.

It is easy and terribly safe...

Credit for 16 year olds?

Answers: You hold to be 18 in command to get credit card, HOWEVER in that are some prepaid debt cards available for teens. You will need your parents to sign up for you though. Here are some links:

You can check near your bank. Some will issue debit cards if tied to your in your favour account and your parents ok it.

My daughter have one. She used Downey savings.
natwest sent my cousin a cheque book at 15! she did use it, didnt repay it and lb20 was added to her debt every month. nan have to bail her out by taking her to the bank arranger. the bank be at fault though for giving a 15 year elderly credit and now gillian is one of the 1st children tp be on a credit black account.

Just stick to a debit card with a lb50 overdraft for wellbeing. you can buy money (yes swap your lb10's for lb5's effectively) as much as you want when your 18 and legally responsible.
You enjoy to be 18 to get a credit card; even afterwards, I DO NOT recommend it! It is so easy to bury yourself within debt with credit cards. Even if you judge you will always brand the payment, you own to be really careful! I would unambiguous a bank rationalization and have them issue you a debit card. I would also suggest, if you hold a cell phone, switch it over to your name. With no credit, you may own to have your parents baptize on there too but that will facilitate.

Good luck! It sucks trying to get credit.
Magic Word: "Credit."

A 16 year outdated, unless an Emancipated Minor, or with the co-signature of a parent of guardian, can not officially obtain credit.

Magic Word: "Debit."

Anyone beside a bank justification can ask for (and be given) a debit card - I think the cut-off is nearly 12 yrs old - to access their accounts outside of usual Banker's Hours, or at an ATM. Any card that will access an ATM can be used at a store that features a POS machine. Please information...if you want to use a debit card, ONLY access a chequing account when doing POS purchases, and consequently do yourself a favour...inform the bank to NOT EVER pass you an overdraft simply because you *almost* have satisfactory money to cover what you're purchasing.
because you are under the age of 18, you are not liable for a contract. and so noone will sign you on any sort of contract, including a credit card. best of luck.
