Past due billing??

Ok, I received a letter surrounded by the mail yesterday contained by regards to my olden due bill. This was a bill that I didn't pay envelope about 3yrs ago (I be struggling financially at that time). The letter states that if I wages this lower amount everything will be settled and nothing else will be owed. It's just about 30% less than what be originaly owed. I want to go ahead and settle it off. But how do I product sure that the new lower amount is the agreed amount? I don't want to rate it and then a month then I get another bill asking for the remainder. How do I approach this? Please minister to from the experienced that has be through the same situation. Much appreciated and thank you ahead of time.

Answers: Show them the message they sent you that says that if you discharge this you will not owe anything. This hopefully will do it because they very conveniently without being seen their promise.
Keep a copy of the letter. That is the written settlement proposition. Send payment next to a cover letter. Reference their reminder dated ___ offering settlement for $X. Indicate that you have roofed your check # for $X in full and final settlement of the debt.

Keep copies of both packages, along with a copy of the cancelled check when it comes pay for, with your prominent financial papers.
Check to see that this bill has not reach the statute of limitations for your state for that type of debt. The statute varies from 3 to just about 10 years depending on the state and the type of debt. Some companies attempt to get compensation from you just up to that time that limitation expires surrounded by order to start the time up again. If you hold reached the statute of limitations next they can no longer continue to try to collect the debt. It doesn't discharge the debt! You only just can no longer be sued or pursued.

I like to jump to www.ripoffreport.com

(the website is free and I am NOT affliated beside it at all, but it is a upright place to see what others might say contained by regards to problems next to the card) please keep within mind, the people that discern good roughly speaking this card probably are not on that site so dont assume that it is not making some people festive.

What dose Pending Transactions mean on my debit card mean and why hasent the money been takeing off?

Answers: It means that you bought something in the amount of the second transaction but that the hard copy request for the money has not arrived at the bank yet.
The bank has told the merchant that this money is available so the bank his holding this money aside for the merchant to claim it later.
So you currently have $293 in your account!
If you used your card as a credit card instead of a debit card (you signed for the transaction instead of using your PIN), there can be a few days between the time that you make the transaction and the time it's actually posted to your account by the credit card company.

If you used your debit card to buy something online, it was processed as a credit card, since you can't enter your PIN for online transactions.

It means that the money has already been SPENT, it just hasn't been removed from your account yet.
Pending means that it's still waiting for the money to actually be deducted from your account. I think that you should make cure that you use your check book and deduct anything that you purchased. Because if you do only look at that balance online you still may have other transacting waiting to be deducted and then you will get a overdrawn fee! Be careful!
