Credit card decline, even though I own drastically biddable credit?
I was purchasing something online and the site accept mastercard, visa, and american express. I used a mastercard and it declined my card, however, when I used another mastercard that I enjoy, the site accepted the card. I own better than average credit. Anyone out there enjoy had indistinguishable problem? What happened? Thanks.Answers: Having good/bad credit have nothing to do near having a purchase permitted on a credit card you already have.
It could enjoy been a few of things.
1. You did not enjoy enough available on the card you tried to use so it be declined.
2. You have some typo in your demand that did not match.
3. The information you put within did not match what they use for endorsement. Very often if you put within an incorrect zip code(one that does not game what your billing statement says) it will get decline.
4. Some general system error that cause it to get decline at that time.
If you want to know for sure call the sandbank of the credit card that was decline. They will show the attempted purchase and let you know the function.
Online when I am declined, I find I made a typo--with card number or date or such.
In existing life, I have a card declined twice--turned out that as I be making such huge purchases it was not decline in the usual sense but the clerk should own asked me to prove it was me because I don't in general spend over $500 at a shot (one was after a move--getting stuff at Home Depot the other be a Black Friday and I was merely going to spend about $200 AFTER rebates). So probably it was an uncharacteristically voluminous order or the sensitive of place you never have bought from earlier? They do all kind of things for "fraud alter" protection as the fraud is on them to repair.
Sounds like you exceeded your available credit on the first one or probably you fat fingered some of the information on the online page.
Or, the credit card company be concerned about the purchase and decline because they thought it might be a fradulent purchase. Call the card company to inquire just within case it is that and you're card is presently frozen.
Also, sometimes credit cards have unusual "helpful" programs. I didn't know that until one day I bought a bunch of unknown clothes at one store and went to buy shoes an hour or so after that at another store and my card got decline. I called the company and they said that they have declined the card because it wasn't contained by my usual pattern to spend that much contained by one day so they decline the second purchase. When I confirmed my identity, they allowed the second purchase but it was highly embarrassing (and I be very angry beside the credit card company at first).
this happened to me until that time.
I forgot to pay my reward one month and I went to use my card and it be denied because I hadn't made a payment on the other hand. So I made a payment and my card worked again.
on a side document: mastercard is the worst company to get involved next to. I will never use a mastercard again.
Visa or nothing!
Sometimes it simply happens. I have it happen to me, used impossible to tell apart card in another store the speak day next to no problems
If my boyfriend owes back child support will they take his EIC credit to pay the debt.?
Answers: Nope, they will want cash, here in illinois,if you show up to the court date with out every penny, they will lock you up.My buddy went once, brought 1,500 with, judge said thats not enough and locked him up
good luck to your boyfriend, but in my opnion,as a guy,I beleive anyone that has a kid should be paying and takeing care of it reguardless of your status with the mother. Its not the kids fault that the parents dont get along..I dont care what the problem between the parents is,if you arent paying or atleast trying the hardest youcan to pay for your kid, then you are no good and should be locked up!! again, just my opinion,im not trying to put you or your boyfriend down in any way at all...
You bet. But it's not just the EIC that gets offset, it's his entire refund. So, if your bf owes $2,000 in back child support and he gets $4,000...say good-bye to half.
Every state has a child support enforcement office and will submit the obligor's information to the federal office of child support enforcement.
If your bf is subject to the federal tax offset, he will be notified.
YEP, the ENTIRE refund. Is it your child he claimed it for? If so, and you were married, you could file as an injured spouse and still get half. But you're not, so you can't.
Probably should have claimed it yourself.
Oh, and if the EIC was for the child he owes child support for, how freaking low can you get?
