Answers: I get a visa card as a gift...I be not happy beside it.
I believe that the purchaser paid nine bucks or so for it (not sure it be a gift) but what I did not like something like it was that EVERY month within were fees
5.95 per month
My card be for $100.00 and by the time I got around to attempting to receive a purchase, nearly $12.00 of it was already gone due to the DEC and Jan monthly fees.

Collection agency reporting/collecting historic 7 years?

I just received a bid from a collection agency for an account i.e. 8 years old. I advise her that her company is in betrayal of FDCPA by collecting past 7 yearsm and also notice that they are on my credit report, and advised her that she wishes to stop collecting and to remove the account from my credit report. She said "Our company is not violating anything, and that the creditor is violating". I advise her that she is collecting on the creditors behalf. This conversation goes on for a while as her companies will not adopt any FDCPA responsibilities... Am I right or wrong? Should I contact an attorney who handles FDCPA?

Answers: The site mentioned by lisa should be your first stop...http://www.creditinfocenter.com have a ton of good info.

OK, here is what you stipulation to do.

Go to http://www.carreonandassociates.com/arti... and find out what the statute of limitations is for debts in your state. Most states are singular 4-6 years. Remember that the SOL only routine they can not sue you, but they can still continue to harrass you to recompense the debt.

Next, check your credit report to see if this debt is being reported. If so, transport the credit bureau a dispute letter.

Next, transport the collection agency a certified letter, return receiving (very important) informing them that you want them to "validate the debt". That finances you want copies of bills, receipts, and contract to prove you owe this debt, and that the amount is accurate. Include a statement (if it's beyond the SOL) that you are aware of the SOL laws and they can not sue you. Inform them that (if it's person listed on your report) that they MUST delete it now or they are violating the FCRA law.

Finally include a notation that they must "cease and desist" adjectives further communications with you.

Be sure to maintain that green return card as proof they were notify. Then if they continue to bother you, sue them surrounded by small claims court for $1000. It's very uncomplicated to do and you don't need a attorney, just for a time research.
Please go to this website. near are people at hand that have experience suing debt collectors.i get that site off of runeye.com end night and spend almost four hours there reading up on this guy and how he made in the order of 10k suing the bill collectors for this same type of thing.
It also tell you about end and desist letters (to keep hold of them from calling you) and all kind of stuff like that.
