Can I find a student loan w/bad credit IF i enjoy a cosigner?

I have i guess what you could consider unpromising credit or little credit..( i have one discouraging account on my credit within the amount of 300.)... and i have little income, but I hold a friend that has great credit who is of a mind to cosign with me for a student loan. Could I still catch the loan even if i have bleak credit but his is good? or do i inevitability to have fitting credit as well? Also, is the cosigner required to clear a certain amount of money?

Does it afect my credit to consulidate my credit card?
