I bought some things the other day that I want to return. The problem is, I lost my check card that I used to purchase the items. I have the card blocked, and got a topical card, obviously beside a different number. Can I return the items with my strange card, since it`s connected to the same sandbank account?
Answers: Stores collectively have different return policies, so it would be easier said than done for anyone here to give you the correct info.
If you used the check card as a DEBIT (you enter your PIN #), then they would most expected give you change back regardless.
If you used the check card as CREDIT, after they may require the card to swipe so the funds are put back on.
They may know how to put it on your card without the card self present. I know that retailers such as Home Depot do this...automatically.
They WILL NOT however under any circumstance put a settlement on a different card. The card processor doesn't know if that card is connected to the same side. What it (the computer sees) is conflicting card #'s, therefore it will not issue a settlement on anything except for the same card. Otherwise, you would own minimum wage cashiers processing refunds from purchases, on their own personal credit cards.
Your best bet is a moment ago to tell the customer service rep the situation.I'm sure they will work through it beside you, it isn't really a hard issue. You will possible get bread back, or if nought else.store credit.
