Can I trade next to no credit?

I have a gas guzzler of a van, no credit, and not a soul to co sign. I have a two year loan and hold only remunerated 6 months on the loan. Everyone that I have spoke to is describing me that I need to hang about a total of 12 months before I can trade. it is costing me a $100 to spread my tank up and I am a single mom next to 3 kids. I cant afford it. Anyone know of any secrets on how I can trade?
