I signed up for it and now iam worried I made a mistake by giving them my info, any backing would be greatly appreciated, has anyone else used them, and they in truth fixed your credit score?? I a short time ago want to put my mind at ease that I a short time ago made a huge mistake!
Answers: I typed in Lexington Law at http://www.ripoffreports.com and found a ton of complaints roughly speaking them from other consumers.
Personally, I have hear their name thrown around here negatively time-and-time again. Never deal with them instinctively, but that site above may provide an indication of what you can expect.
Lexington Law Firm is, IMHO, a ripoff. The only approach to legally fix your credit report is to dispute items that you legitimately believe are incorrect. This is something that you can do yourself - you don't obligation to hire anyone to do it for you.
Get a copy of your credit report from the 3 credit bureaus (TransUnion, Equifax and Experian) from the Federal Trade Commission's web site for free http://www.annualcreditreport.com and follow the directions on respectively credit report to dispute an item. Make sure to do the disputes in writing, dispatch everything via certified mail, return account requested and via regular mail. The Fair Credit Reporting Act http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/031224fcr... govern consumer credit reports.
It's only my personal assessment but there is zilch that they can do that you can't do yourself.
I would suggest looking them up with your local Better Business Bureau.
