Can I catch arrested for a postponed sum on my truck?

Question:
I am one month behind on my truck donation, becuase of a money scam that happend to me a few months ago. I tried to work things out with the broker and they did not want to make arrangements. I am still one month astern and today my mom told me an investigator came looking for me becuase of the vehicle, he said he be there to arrest me. Is that possible?

Answer:
No they won't arrest you. They might try to repossess the truck or he might be trying to serve you beside a summons and complaint, although that is a bit drastic for one late pay.

It's probably a bill collector trying to scare you, which, by the style is against the law. Read the article below something like your rights.
They can't arrest you for non payment. But, the investigator could enjoy actually be someone from a repo company. They use all kind of tricks. Try to get the recompense caught up as soon as possible. Otherwise they can come filch your truck back.
I don't suppose it's possible to be arrested for missing a payment. Perhaps they fabrication just to terrify you.
That's bogus.

The guy was coming around to serve you papers and nick the car put a bet on. You obviously bought from a "buy here rate here" place, and they come for the car after a few days.

Next time, use a dune or credit union for a sports car loan.

Better yet, find some classes on personal finance so you don't jump down for scams OR natural credit car dealerships.
They cant/wont arrest you...They will steal the truck tho. So if your behind you should park it at a different place and spawn sure your personal stuff is out of it.
They cant arrest you, but they can repo the car. If you're still a month losing, either bequeath the car put money on or make up the months donation.
No. He can possibly take your truck but I doubt it. They are a moment ago trying to scare you so they can bring back their money.
Nope. It was the repo man. Good haphazard they will take the truck unless you achieve up to date on your payments. He was more than predictable figuring out how to bring back the truck and what the area be like to determine his expertise to access it.
You must have bought it from sleazy auto sale!
Look around and see if you can finance your truck through a ridge or loan company. These guys sound too shifty to me.
NO - he's harrasing you - you should report him to the police! The worst that can evolve is your truck will be reposessed one day out of the blue and you won't hold a vehicle. They actually "steal" it wager on when you're not lookingso do what you can to make that expenditure (get a 2nd job, or something temporary)
You want to contact the police at once. Ask how you would be able to find out if a canon enforcement official be sent to your home. If not, was this party impersonating one, as someone come to your house and made threats to your mother he was going to arrest you. This is harrassment to fullest extent and is against the imperative to impersonate a law recognized. No one will come and arrest you for a late expense. You need to bring the payments up to date so that you do not lose possession of your truck.
nope, but they be there to repossess your vehicle...those general public will say anything to the personage they're talking to return with the location of the vehicle...if I were you and I didn't want to lose my vehicle I would own it hidden and label that payment earlier they repossess it...if you make the settlement and keep up beside the payments they cannot take the truck, but as of presently they can come get the vehicle and influence anything to get it!!
There is no debtor's prison anymore. So you can't be arrested. They can thieve back the truck though.
No, your mother misunderstood.

He be there to ARREST the TRUCK, not YOU!

Don't be behind schedule again. . . sounds like your creditor is serious roughly speaking repossessing that vehicle if you can't pay on the dot.
There's no such thing as debtors' prison. It's not a criminal offense to miss a recompense. This was clearly a upset tactic. If you're approached by this person next to the threat of arrest offer your hand and say "nick me away." Watch his reaction. By adjectives means product your payment, but never be intimidated by a creditor. You hold rights too.
lol - no
no, they will just give somebody a lift it away from u.

I'm individual sued by my credit card company what do I do?

Question:
I'm 23 now but I own a $4,000 debt from when I was 18.I racked up charges on a Visa card and have lost my job so I couldn't payment. They kept rasing how much I owed so I just never salaried my debt.I got a send for from a lawyers department allowing me to pay them or enjoy them sue me.The only type of monthly payoff they will take is $350 or more.I can not afford to salary that.My boss told me it might be a scare tactic since my statute of limitations is almost up.Has this ever happen to any one else and do you have any insist on for me?

Answer:
They won't sue you.

Get together $2000 and offer them a "settlement surrounded by full."

Don't give them access to your description and don't do anything until they make the proposition in writing.
You should hire your own attorney. The lawyer can probably negotiate and lower the amount you owe a bit. Otherwise, you incurred that debt and you own to pay it. If you don't foot it, the credit card company will probably be able to trimmings your wages.
Get a lawyer
Hire a legal representative to infestigate the situation and let him/her put in the picture you if you should be worried or not. He/She will see if they are indeed scaring you, or are serious, also the attorney will let you know if you can fray this.
Yes pay your bills perchance the payment is illustrious but heck I pay my bills and not a soul bother me ! It is your only style
They most likely won't sue. I never get sued, and just wait it out until my debt was a charge bad. If you get an prescribed document saying you are anyone sued, they probably would still accept a wage plan instead of suing. I would wait and see. It won't cost you anything.
Unless your boss is a legal representative, I would ask an attorney for his opinion to avoid further troubles down the road.
Well I assume your credit is already unpromising because of this particular piece, but what I would have said is to seize a personal loan and just repay off the $4,000. Or you could try to obtain a loan from someone you know and then at most minuscule they wouldn't sue you. Other than that I would tell the lawyer the whole situation and see what they reckon you should do. $350 a month does sound resembling a scare tactic to me.
I work on collections at work and a few society that owe us money have gone to credit counceling. It's free, they lately take payments from you and disperse it to adjectives the companies you owe. The credit card company can't take you to court if you do that.
You could phone call one of those debt places and talk to them. They can gain creditors to back stale with a promise of transmittal. They also get your interest rate and amount due respectively month lowered too.
It is possible that is a alarm tactic.

The best thing to do is contact a legal representative and explain the situation. They can offer the best proposal. Plus, if the credit card company does decide to pursue the lawsuit, you will want a lawyer.

Good luck.
It is NOT a terrify tactic. Because your stat of limitations is almost up, they are MORE likely to database suit in court so nearby is a judgement against you, then they will hold the power to freeze your bank accounts until they grasp their money. Unfortunately, you spent the money, now you own to pay it support.
It wasn't a lawyer! Some credit collection companies use fraudulent technique to try and scare you. The reality of the matter is that $4000 is not worth them suing over and if they be going to sue they would have done it a long time ago. A charged rotten account falls past its sell-by date of your credit report after 7 years, they are trying to scare you earlier it falls off. Charged bad accounts are often sold surrounded by bulk to individuals who then try to collect from you, I would only just ignore it.
jump to the bank receive a loan pay them rotten, it will be easier to pay the ridge then them because they wont charge u 350 or more a month.!
It is highly common for them to use that munificent of scare tactic.

Let them know that you can settle up $X per month, and if that is not suitable for them, next recommend that they take you to court.

More commonly than not, the cost of actually going to court is more than the expense of carrying your debt for somewhat while longer, and they'll accept your present.
If you have accumulate too much debt, filing chapter 13 could work and not a soul that you owe can bother you at all and you would own to pay 1 amount per month for adjectives the companies that you may owe, but like everyone else said consult a legal representative first.
The truth is, you spent the money, got the stuff on credit, presently you have to settle. Call up a credit counseling company, they might be able to assistance you.

As for the $350 a month, save your money to foot it instead of spending it by going into bars, buying cigarettes, and other non-necessities.
Scare tactic!

Credit card debt is unsecured debt. You present no collateral on the debt, so they can't go after any of your assets for repayment. Never, ever stir to a credit counselor. They are scams and charge you more fees to do what you can do for yourself. Also, no want for a lawyer. Again, more fees charged for what you can do on your own.

However, they can bear you to court and the court may garnish your wages. But to be exact RARELY done.

You should set up a repayment plan with them. Most company's will settle for 40 cents on the dollar. Offer them $1600 as expense in full. If they adopt (be sure you get their acquiescence in writing in the past paying them a dime), this will reflect negatively on your credit rating but at tiniest you will be done with this. However, if you don't enjoy the money to pay stale the bill, offer them a repayment plan. Ask for a reduced monthly donation and reduced interest rate. Most company's will accept a 1.5% interest rate from you.
I enjoy dealt near this problem for an ex and it's really simple. Typically at this point the credit card company no longer has anything to do beside the card and they have sold your debt for pennies on the dollar to a collection agency. Call the number on the mail that you receive, typically a pink or green form letter wanting to collect the debt. You want to ask for a "charge off". This is a reduced amount of what you owe, typically 40-60% of the amount owed. Then once you enjoy settled on an amount you can work out payments that you can afford with the company.

Please minute two things: 1)A charge off will still show up on your credit report for the subsequent 7 years. A bankruptcy however will show up for 10 years. 2)The IRS may (I stress may) bill you for the taxes on the difference between what is owed and what is settled. In the eyes of the IRS, the ridge "gave" you the difference of what you owed as a gift and this is taxable.
Every one told me even lawyer that the credit card companies can't do anything so I blowed them off for years .Then I come home one day near Levy's on stuff I could not move anything they were going to deal in my vehicles for 5k within debt ? So I went and file chapter 7 and it stopped all call any the levy .but I also had 70k surrounded by medical bills so if I were you I would of late try to pay it or step to CCC..
More than likely the tourist wasn't actually from a lawyer's bureau at all, but instead next to a collection agency hired by Visa. I got a ring like that once from a collection agency about a debt I had be making monthly payments on.The guy started off by recounting me the lawsuit had already be filed, but back off when I started asking some incredibly specific questions going on for the lawsuit.

He finally conceded there be no lawsuit and then started negotiate a settlement amount with me (less than the full amount owed).

Unless you've already be through that process, that's probably where things stand near your situation right now too. Some of these independent collection agencies are downright brutal over the phone and will read aloud just almost anything to scare you into agreeing to something.

I terribly much doubt any attorney would double as a bill collector, so the fact that this personage wanted you to produce payments directly to him is a pretty good indicator that he wasn't a attorney.

Believe me, they will take smaller quantity than $350/month from you if you can set up a regular payment diary and stick to it. These people are ruthless, but once they see that you're not trying to achieve out of a debt that you're responsible for, their attitude changes. They're hired to collect -- not incur more expenses by file a lawsuit over such a relatively small amount.

I know it's scary, but newly talk to themit may purloin some work on your part, but they WILL eventually listen to you.

Obviously after 5 years this have already had a distrustful impact on your credit rating, but it will be much more damaging if they charge you sour.

Whatever you do -- do not, I repeat DO NOT get involved near any sort of credit counseling business.you'll end up losing a ton of money to them and your debt will never progress down. Also, don't fall for any "big loans next to no credit check" scams.

Just make conversation to the person who call you and let them know you want to income your debt, but can't afford 350/monthask them directly for an alternate plan. I promise -- they'll offer other concept.

Good luck to you.
I have two suggestions:

1. The best piece to do is go to a credit counseling service. There are Consumer Credit Counseling agencies surrounded by most areas. It is a little bit of work to find a angelic one, but pick an agent that is a non-profit agency. They'll work next to you and your creditors to help you set up a grant schedule and relieve rebuild and protect your credit. These counseling groups are great and usually work for a donation respectively month. I highly recommend this!
2. If you want to encounter your CC company, get a legal representative. It would be an expensive and uphill battle, and you'd still finish up owing it. But it is better than doing it on your own.

There are folks out there who prey on culture in financial stress, so watch out!
check your state statutes your boss may be right. but remember it is from your last settlement - do not make one until you consult beside a lawyer.
Don't waist your time going to a advocate.

Save like crazy.don't spend on anything..individual the bare necessities. If obligation be get a second post.

You need to bring back angry about this and obtain them off your wager on. yes you do owe the money and you have to discharge it back...trust me they will transport 50 cents per every dollar you owe.

Don't let them startle you but also don't be rude with them..make things worse.
Don't worry...it's a type of harrasment. They will not lose not time nor money to sue you for $4000. At lowest not too soon. They will call you and hold on to asking you to place an amount of money monthly but they will not sue you anytime sooner. In the meantime, you might wanna try some credit repair.

Debit card statement say I spent lb53.43 at the Co-Op. No theory what on. How 2 find out what I spent money on?

Question:
I want to find out what it is I spent that money on because I have no recolection. It be the 6th Nov. I Know that on that day or close at hand that day I bought pelt bands paying by card surrounded by Claires Accessories and made withdrawals from the cashpoint. The statment shows the withdrawal and that I went to Claires. I didn't buy xmas prezzies, nor did i do food shopping grounds dad does that, I didn't post anything. Don't recall going into the department store contained by the city. HELP!!

Answer:
You would have made the transaction a couple of days past,it takes 2 or 3 days to turn through,so always shows on your statement a few days after the transaction be made, did you not get dosh back at co-op or anything approaching that.if no contact your bank and they will put it through as a debitcard dispute and investigate it
you can enquiry the transaction but they can't tell you what you bought.
Remember that if you switch it might not show up for days subsequent. your shopping could've been done from the 1st of NOV or even back and just have taken time to be actioned on your account.
jump to the shop and ask for the original card tally. they usually keep one copy for their collection.
Sounds like you should terminate your card, phone the bank speedily.

You could write to the Co-op afterwards.
k dis cud b fraud
go 2 your hill use the self service satement or print a mini all remunerated out take it to the counter service n they will be capable of tell u wat go wrong
i would ring your bank and hold a word with them roughly it, if you really cant recall buying anything from the store i would label sure u specfify that on the phone, the bank should suggest on the nest steps too give somebody a lift
ring your bank asap someone may be useing your card details and convey all this to your mound if you swear you didnt spend that amount in co op or even turn in here they will take dealing and investigate and try to get your money hindmost
someone just tried to clone my card & repeal lb537 on 14/12 06 so get surrounded by touch with your edge --i got my money rear
i work in a co-op, and if you could ask your dune what time it was after you can then enquiry it at the co-op, they will have it on account, by the way, sometimes credit/debits from the co-op dont find taken out straight away? hope it helps
I would phone the co-op but not nouns. November 6th seems to be the year that the charge POSTED, but may not necessarily be the day that you made the charge. Do you know where on earth the co-op is located? Walk in near and see if you can get a copy of the tally. Also, try to remember if you actually bought something near around the first week of November, but probably a few days before.

One entry to note, if this be fraud, your bank portrayal would be empty by very soon! If someone stole your card, they would not go to a co-op for some apples and natural food. They would have totally tried to drain it surrounded by as short of time as possible. Meaning, you would have agreed if someone stole your card a long time ago or because your bank statement have a number of unauthorized charges.

So don't madness, but it would be prudent to see if the co-op can provide you with more information.
Something similar happen to a friend, she went to cost cutters made a purchase beside her debit card. Next day lb75 be spent at local Asda's . She never shops there. Your card have been cloned. Report it in a jiffy to your bank and the police. These "small time" cloners, use your details once. It's roughly for purchases under lb100 and other at Tesco/Asda/Co-Op etc. They don't have your pin number merely your card details. Someone at a shop you visited is working near them. Most stores have CCTV, so ask the police to procure the Co-Op stores copy for that day.

Can you return a endowment card?

Question:
I got a grant card to a spa but I really do not want to go. Is it possible to return it to the spa and own the amount credited back to my friend's credit card? I would fairly have them enjoy the money back, a bit than stay on this gift card that I won't use.

Answer:
You should contact the spa to find out what their policy is on this. Otherwise, it is possible you might know how to find someone interested in purchasing it at a slight discount.
No but you can re-gift it
i don't kno. I kno lots of ancestors sell those on ebay 4 money.
I'm pretty sure that's barred. Every store I have purchased a giftcard from have not allowed returns.
Not that i know of. deal in it to someone or give it as a payment.
no
How in the world can you possibly not want to jump?
Most businesses won't refund a grant card. Why not find someone, perhaps a mutual friend who would be interested contained by using it and give it to them? Your friend prominently thought you would benefit froma day of pamper,. Reconsider your decision.
I quality you on this one I had a manipulate done and I felt unbelievably uncomfortable the female that was massage my back kept conversation to me wouldn't even let me relax. It also feel like she didn't even do anything to me except when she massage my head. I to some extent have my fiancee wipe me then discharge that money out again. I would give it to you mom as one of her gifts.
No, you can't win a refund. You can dispense the card away to someone else who wants to be in motion. You can sell the card on the internet, or swap it next to someone who has a card you want to use. They are sell/swap sites on the internet. Just G00GLE it.

Diners Club is a honourable credit card, surrounded by which countries??

Question:
im from Ecuador and over here its a good credit card, at Colombia too, but i go to Usa and i almost cant shopping nothing exact my so kinown credit card over there at New Jersey be just trash, ?? give a hand me with this

Answer:
Diners Club is seldom accepted currently. You should get a Visa or a Mastercard. Those are the two big ones, permitted at more places than anything else.
Unfortunately, Diners Club is rarely permitted in the US. American Express, which issues Diners Club accounts, is trying to up its profile, but the big dogs within the US are Visa and MasterCard, followed by AMEX and Discover Card (which no one accept outside the US. I keep that card at home when I travel overseas).

Not much you can do to money this except to get yourself a Visa or MasterCard sketch before coming stern to beautiful NJ.

anyone know of a casn mortgage that does not require you to own a mound details?

Question:
i live in the medium ohio area

Answer:
Lyn is right. Don't even travel to those places. The name of the hobby for them is to keep you paying forever. They are even worse afterwards the credit card companies for interest rates and that's saying a great deal!
Try "MoM and Dad"
PLEASE DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT GOING TO ONE OF THESE PLACES. THE INTEREST RATES ARE TERRIBLE. I KNOW OTHERS WHO HAVE GOT HOOKED ON THEM AND NO WAY TO EVER GET THEM PAID OFF.
No, most do or they will ask you to do a prepaid charge/debit card. Which in my feelings defeats the purpose. If you enjoy money to put on the card why would you need a currency advance.
Not unless you enjoy a credit card
Maybe you can try below website to get the information you stipulation

Getting a credit card.?

Question:
I have tried getting a Visa card and not a soul will give me one. I do not owe anyone anything own always compensated cash, I guess that funds I have bleak credit. Any ideas? I already hold a Debit Mastercard that I use as a credit ( someone told me that would help my credit rating).

Answer:
The debit card have no impact on your credit rating. The only passageway to know for sure what your credit score is, is to find out for yourself which can be done effortlessly online. It's very possible that you are person turned down not because you have unpromising credit but rather insufficient or no credit. Whenever you are decline for credit the fair credit reporting accomplishment requires the company who declined you to disclose the reason(s) why you be turned down. You can go backbone and ask the company(s) why as they should still have it on profile. If you have little or no credit the best article to do is to open a secured credit card which will be a trade reported on your credit profile. Typically as long as you handle the card properly, manufacture payments on time etc. the issuer will unsecure it and return your deposit in a relatively short time frame...typically 6 months to 1 year.
To apply for a credit card you must first have a strong or stable financial support.

if you are a student try to apply for the Student visa card or worse convey an inquiry to their customer service department and give them you details and rock-solid financial support, they should be able to oblige you.

Good Luck.
try tthe site credit cards .com
http://shopping.yahoo.com/b:credit%20car...

go to a credit coalition and ask them to help you
Maybe you can try below website to grasp the information you need

If your interested the knit is http://linkachi.com/?0l , its def worth it.

Is it me or is this backwards?

Question:
Why is it that when you close a credit card account it reflect negatively against your credit rating? Wouldn’t leaving it depart with a zilch balance be more of a credit risk, seeing that the card/account can still be used at any time possibly speedily altering your income to debt ratio?

Answer:
Say for instance the only credit you own is one credit card.

If you close the card you will no longer be using that account. Companies will not be capable of see how you currently use credit and will have no route of knowing if you would be a potential risk or not. Eventually the closed account will decline off removing adjectives traces of how you had used credit.

If you enjoy that one open card and use it perceptively. You keep the utilization low, paying contained by full or paying more then the monthly amount due. By doing that, companies can see how you use credit and know how to tell that you are a obedient credit risk.

(Available credit does not equal debt)
I agree. I always wondered that myself.
Having too frequent credit cards reflects negatively. Debt added next to all your cards credit confines ads up to smaller amount you can borrow.
Why dont you ask your bank card first?
Length of time a trustworthy amount of accounts have be open is a push button factor in getting a loan. Income to debt ratio is separate from your credit rack up, but the debt part of it is taken from your credit report since explicitly the only concrete proof. You are right it doesn't make surefire sense, but it is all the lender have to go bad of.

I have need of to know if you own to impart written approval previously someone can grasp your credit report?

Question:
Someone called me second night claiming I owed a business some money. I know it was incorrect and hopefully they corrected it.
At the pause of the conversation they started telling me what be on my credit report. They told me all of my credit history. I be shocked! Maybe a lawyer could answer this one for me.

Answer:
I'm not a advocate, but here's a tip for you. I've done this and I know this works. You can send the credit agencies parcels disputing certain debts and fruitless credit ratings. Many times they will just remove it to some extent than try and take the time to verify it. Another point you can do is have the agencies put a written explanation from you as to why a debt wasn't rewarded due to illness or doesn`t matter what. Companies do consider these explanations when applying for credit in your adjectives.
maybe that be a debt collector.
Most of the time, yes -- you have to distribute written permission.
One of the exceptions is when someone is attempting to collect a debt, such as this travel case. A collection agency that's been given a debt to collect can run your credit, to formulate sure they have your current address & phone numbers, etc. Perfectly legalized.
nope. Lots of credit card companies randomly check credit reports. That is why they dispatch you the prequalified aps.
You could go on privacy governor and request a free report! No if you applied for credit they sell your info to company's.
I hop eyou did not go and get scammed! I hope you did not give them any concurrence of whatsoever! Not even your social!
sounds like identity pinching. If they say you own money and you KNOW that you don't owe that unusual company money...
I would check into possible identity theft.

Companies can get hold of credit reports very smoothly.
nope
No sir
check with a attorney
I think they do.. otherwise anyone can in recent times look at anyone's credit report. And, I probably wouldn't want someon looking at mine...
I believe that you have to sign a concurrence note to hold your credit report ordered by someone else.
However, businesses that you have already signed for and that you hold an ongoing credit relationship with can lay down a new one respectively year, and/or every time you ask for more credit with them. This allows them to see that you are keeping your credit history verbs. If you don't, they will either tilt your rate or cancel your credit.
No, you don't requirement written permission. Not necessarily, as you can apply for a mortgage, credit card, etc... online or over the phone.

There should be some form of okay, though.

However, collection agencies DO typically have the right to verbs credit reports (soft pulls, don't hurt your score), to verify the debts, your address, phone, etc...

And in most cases, anyone you owe money to, you necessarily have granted them the right to use adjectives legal avenues to collect your debt.
Yes, they want your permission. Contact an attorney.
They can check your report, but when they call for you don't verify or tell them anything.
I hope you get their name and cellular phone number!! Nobody should have access to your credit report! I would rapidly contact a lawyer. And the credit bureaus, adjectives 3 of them and explain what happened. They will push for you what you should do from here.
By the way yes companies that you hold accounts with are allowed to check your credit report. When you signed your application you give them the right to do so. But I'm pretty sure that they can't gain full access. They can check your scores and such but not bring a list of every vindication you owe or have owed.
financial institutes do credit checks adjectives the time with out individuals knowing.i had a mortgage co try to enjoy me refinance i told him i do not have a mortgage and he told me what i owed . i consider it is bs
no. call the credit reporting agencies. it is automated. they will entail to know your address, ss# and some other things. sounds like identity raid to me. call the credit reporting agencies and hold fraud protection put on. it is free, and is good for 7 years. do it NOW! Trans Union would be a suitable start. I think you can place it on adjectives 3 from there.
no they do not want permission to return with your credit report. i ckeck mine every once in a while simply to see who has be checking up on me.

you would be surprised...
IF YOU OWE SOMEONE A BILL THEN THEY DON`T NEED YOUR PERMISSION TO GET INTO YOUR CREDIT RECORD, MAYBE A DEBT COLLECTOR CALLED YOU THAT WAS HIRED FROM A BUSINESS. FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU OWE A VIDEO STORE MONEY AS FAR AS LATE RENTALS THEN THEY CAN HIT YOUR CREDIT. NO ONE NEEDS YOUR PERIMISSION THE ONLY COMPANIES THAT NEED IT IS LANDLORDS,IF YOU APPLY FOR CREDIT,A BANK AND SO ON. NOW IF YOU DIDN`T DO THIS DEBT THEN YOU TO GO TO THE CREDIT REPORTING AGENCYS AND DISPUTE IT. All I had to do be go to the wall and get a brand new card. Also, now I never use my card inside places close to gas stations. If I don't have any brass on me, I pay at the pump. It's also faster.
If it happends agains, the cc will credit it again. Its the store will get hold of hurt not the cc.
