Should I reward rotten unenthusiastic items on my credit report or should i gain facilitate from a credit adjuster company?
Question:
Answer:
If you have the money to earnings down your debts on your own, I would recommend that, only because credit companies habitually charge you a percentage of the total debt and just hiring one lowers your credit chalk up at first. Instead, just focus on paying down what you owe and don't be postponed on any payments. Try to pay more than the minimum due first. Then contact the businesses that have submitted cynical reports for you and ask them 1) if they will lower your interest rate and 2) if they will please remove the negative spot from your credit report. You'd be surprised how many will do it if you lately ask.
Only go the credit company route if you're really swimming contained by credit card debt and don't know what else to do. If this is your situation, they can at least consolidate adjectives the debt and negotiate to get adjectives the interest rates lowered. Then you'll just engender payments to that one company instead of trying to deal beside a pile of cards.
I hop this helps you:

Do you enjoy to agree to work next to a collection agency instead of the creditor?
Question:
Our company owes a creditor $ most of which are disputed pending proof of conferral. They turned it over to an "attorney" collection agency that calls the owner at home and threatens tenet suits that will cost home tons of $. She now say we have to convey her post dated checks and pay her $5K payment. Can we refuse to work next to the collection agency or how do we get out of dealing near them until we get this resolved.
Answer:
Re postdated checks- surrounded by many states, it's unauthorized to either propose a post-dated check or receive one. Debt collectors have, depending upon the state, restrictions on what they can do. Check next to the state prosecutors's office.
Also-your business have rights depending upon your state-check with your consumer protection agency-Good Luck!
If the creditor will acceot expense from you then the collection company can be told to stop calling and they should abide by it. However, tons companies sell the description to the collection agency in which defence you must deal near them.
Here is some additional info. Hope this help.
Absolutely. You never have to work near a collection agency if you don't want to. Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), all you own to do is send them a "abstain from and desist" letter. They are expelled from contacting you in any course, shape or form unless it is to sue you. If they do, they have broken the imperative.
See Section 805(c) "Ceasing communication" of the FDCPA:
http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpa/fdc...
Just write: "According to my rights under the FDCPA, I am demanding that you give up any and all communication near me regarding this debt." That's it.
It is your money you do what you judge is best for your peace of mind. Just send the collection agency a discontinue and decease letter I mull over I got the spelling wrong, and by regulation they are not allowed to worry you again therefore giving you a adjectives to get yourself contained by a better spot, with smaller amount stress
Do not send post dated checks - find out if your story has be sold to the collector or if they are just collecting for the creditor. If it have been sold to them they officially own the debt. you can send a memorandum demanding the collector to cease and desist adjectives written and verbal communications, but this leaves no alternative for them except to wallet a judgement. If they are just collecting for them you more than plausible can make a compensation to the original creditor. If you never received the items and since the amount is so much you really should contact an attorney and permit them hash it out. Hope this helps - appropriate luck
Need more information from you, but I believe the previous advice is doomed to failure.
I'll address your question first. You don't even own to talk to a collection agent/attorney! You do not own a contract or debt with this being. Your contract is with the artistic creditor. Any agreement is between the creditor and the collection agent.
Therefore, you always own the right to contact the original creditor and negotiate a settlement. Whether the creditor requests to talk to you is another entry, as they are not required to deal near you.
Yes, collection agencies do buy your debts, and in those cases they are the one you treaty with.
So what's wrong near the previous advice? We are discussion about a company owing the debt, not a consumer. These debts are much easier to collect on, and collection attorneys are anxious to procure these accounts for that reason. I will bet they will sue you if this isn't handle.
True, you can send them a constraint to validate a debt, but please not this is solely useful within dealing with the credit bureau and removing items sour your report. It certainly does not stop a collection agent from suing you.
And since this does appear to be a hugely large amount of money, I guess you can count on a lawsuit.
So my suggestion is to get a legal representative, and have these two guys discuss the luggage together. (Leaches tend to talk better at indistinguishable level). If they have a suitable enough crust, your lawyer will push for you of what to do. If this debt is as large as you claim, it's going to be outside of small claims court and the allowed fees will add up at the double.
The key here is that it's the "company" that owes money, not a consumer. They do not enjoy the same protections.
Should I report Chapter 7?
Question:
I have a huge credit/charge card debt and I am overwhelmed beside trying to pay everything rotten. I am a single mother I just want to return with rid of the debt because my credit is just awful and I want start repairing it presently. Any financial advisors or Bankruptcy attornies that can give me some warning on what I should do?
Answer:
I wish Debt Guru would tone down his answers. It's desperate enough they are self serving, but they are unbelievably deceptive.
OK, true. A ruin stays on your "public record" forever. But most lenders don't look at your "public record" (which is actually the liquidation court records). Most will look at your credit report, and the BK listing is removed after 10 years.
Just thought I'd point that out again.
And debt settlement with the sole purpose works if the creditor agrees to work with these companies. They are NOT required to do so, and contained by many cases these companies do more mar then polite. Most are fronts for lenders trying to sell consolidation loans! Don't believe me, nick a look at the FTC website at http://www.ftc.gov
OK, so what's my opinion? Can't grant you one with such constrained information.
First take a look at the association below, as it describes what the bankruptcy law are going to do for you.
Ask yourself this question.
If you be to sit down and create a very strict budget (no more Starbucks, no intake out, no movies...) and put all of your "disposable" income into paying sour this debt, can you do it in 5 years?
For example, let say after you hold made your budget you can afford only $200 a month, and you owe $20,000 within debts. In this case, assuming the creditors are nice ample to wave slowly fees and interest (yeah, right), it's going to take give or take a few 9 years. In that time, your credit report is ruined due to all the slow payment and collection notice.
In reality, adjectives of your creditors are NOT going to wait more later 2 years for their money. You will be hammered beside lawsuits, collection agents, and still have discouraging credit for several years.
Orwhen you file for liquidation you will still be put on a very strict budget. But your bills will be compensated off completely contained by 3-5 years. In most cases you will only be paying off a portion of the debt.
True, your credit is trashed for 10 years. But at least you can start your natural life over without adjectives the debt and harrassment that goes along beside it.
Good luck. BK is a hard conclusion to make.
Try one of these credit fixing outfits first. you may know how to get the debt reduced to where on earth you can handle it. I file bankruptcy concluding year and I can not borrow anything for at least 7 years, if I keep hold of my nose verbs. Try to avoid bankruptcy as long as you can until in attendance is no other option.
If you can you should report as soon as possible. as long as you have a wearing clothes place to stay and a dependable car. Then you won't obligation credit for a while. So there is no involve to keep stressing yourself out around paying all your bills. So look for a process to keep your saloon and house and you should be fine.
Generally you should file liquidation if (1) you owe more than you make (ie, owe 50k contained by cc debt but you make 25k), or (2) it would pocket you longer to pay rotten the debt than the bk will remain on your reports (usually 7-10 years). Filing bankruptcy will allow you to win a fresh start, and most people can purchase a home 2 yrs out of bk...that's something you simply can't do if you were to try and pay cheque off the debt little by little. Of course, your peace of mind should other come before money, and if the debt is stressing you out consequently which is worse? Keeping the debt and being stressed or file bk and being competent to sleep at night? I prefer the latter.
not a soul should have to directory BK nowadays seeing how debt settlement programs exist.
http://www.1800debtsettlement.com... have some very worthy informaiton regarding the negative of the BK including but not limited to it remaining on your public credit flie for ever. 25 years from very soon you could be explaining that BK to a mortgage lender.
say no to BK!
contact a ruin attorney - your first consultation is free - they will advise you of the alien laws and if you fit the requirments.
Can I find a loan if I am a student and own obedient credit but don't enjoy a chore?
Question:
I am a full-time student at a university and I have a intensely good credit history. However, I don't enjoy a job and hence can't provide proof of income. Also, I don't qualify for financial aid. Can I get a loan? And if so, where on earth? Thank you.
Answer:
The only mode that you can is to have a cosigner (i.e. mom dad, bro or sis) I don't know of any edge that will loan to someone without proof of income.
yes as long as you stay a full time student. you can repay the loan after graduation you can carry one from a bank http://www.aessuccess.org offer financial aid, and loan servicing.
you need to hold a co-signer, but check with the NHBS, Inc Im not pretty sure if they can give up you but I remember my cousin (17 yrs) talking to me bout this coy..im not even sure if this is their site, but I know the signature is NHBS, Inc
http://www.newhorizon.org
Most banks require that you own a job because they obligation to know you'll be able to take-home pay them back. They are greatly leery of loaning money without knowing you'll know how to pay them pay for. Therefore it will be somewhat difficult to get a loan lacking a job. Do you own someone that would be willing to co-sign a loan for you? That may be the single way to win a loan.
Good luck!
Check your local bank... Student loans.. Sally Mae. That is what I have to do. As far as I know, you cant be declined for that. If you are not emancipated from your parents, it sucks have to put their income on the FAFSA application. I was decline as well, due to my GI Bill. Our system to support people find through school is catered to single mothers/dads and minorities. If you want any other help, IM me, duhibrokeit2000, will joyfully tell you more of what I have to go through. Good Luck!
If the loan is for institution, you can qualify for student loans that are deferred until 6 mos. after graduation. If you're looking for a personal loan, you'd need a cosigner since you hold no proof of income.

Wow! I only discovered we owe $13K! HELP!?
Question:
Hey, I need for a time advice from soneone who have been surrounded by a similar situation.
I recently discovered we have an old credit card that have not been compensated off, and the article has be adding interest for 5 years. When the portrayal went delinquent, it have a balalnce of $5,000, and has very soon grown to $13,000.
I guess that's what happens when youdon't check your credit report!
Anyway, the card is contained by my wife's name solely, and I am looking at calling the collection agency and settling the debt, probably for around 6 or 7K I would imagine.
My ask, however, is what happens if I don't remuneration it at all? I be determined, I know it would fall past its sell-by date my wife's credit report, but that doesn't stop collection actions and or garnishment, does it?
I realize it would verbs to kill my wife's credit, but does it do anything to mine? Can they frills MY wages, as her husband?
Any help contained by answering this question would be greatly appreciated. I will probable call and settle the debt, but want to know if this is d best approa
Answer:
if you enjoy a house or any joint property the creditor can place a lien, the best entry to do is what you said contact the collection agency and offer them a change settlement some take as little as 15% as a currency settlement MAKE SURE YOU KEEP PROOF OF PAYMENT collection agency don't like reporting to credit bureaus so plentifully of times that debt will still show up years after you have already rewarded it
Yes, it will affect you. I found that out after my Hubby died, years after, when they came after me for some debts contained by HIS name one and only! didn't matter that I know nothing nearly them, but as long as I was married, I be responsible. But you can talk them down, hold out to settle for much less next they want, but you have to be firm, and don't give somebody a lift any pushing from them.
If you don't pay afterwards your wife will get an R9 on her credit rating. not a dutiful thing to hold. if you make a settlement, later she will get an R5. when you phone up the company, they will want you to settle as close to the current balance(13,000)but stick to what you are wanting to settle for. in this bag i would recommend a settlement just to attain it over and done with. an R5 isn't that bleak, it basically of late shows that there be a settlement made. avoid the R9 at all costs. they can't touch anything contained by your name, resembling wages or anything. it won't ruin your credit either, b/c your cross is not on the card. go ahead and craft the settlement. and dont' forget to ask for a confimation #.
Pay your wife Credit card debt right off don,t linger it ruins your credit rating, and you need something you want
The first item you should do is check the statute of limitations (SOL) for the state you live in. For example, contained by NY the SOL is 6 yrs. That means a company have 6 yrs to bring suit and collect on a debt. If they don't, by law they can't collect. If this debt is 5 years prehistoric, it's very close to the SOL self up and all you would enjoy to do is wait until it falls rotten your credit report in 7 yrs and you would be home free.
If I be you, I would let sleeping dogs fabrication. Do not contact the collection agency. If they bring suit in the subsequent year, get a attorney and negotiate with them at that time. They can't trimmings wages without serving you first, and even consequently they have to take a writ of garnishment. With this debt so close to SOL, I would wait and see what happen. Paying it now won't variety any difference to your credit rating - a paid charge bad is still a charge off. With it human being 5 yrs old, it's not affecting your credit as much as you reflect on anyway.
I'm sorry...but your wife made the debt...and you guys should pay every cent. Not individual does it hurt your credit.it hurts everyone else wanting to use that same card...as in...that make the rate go up..and we ALL hold to suffer the consequences. Pay off every cent! Even if you hold to get on a clearance plan. I hope you have cut up that card!!
And yes...it still hurts YOUR credit. Just bite the bulletand do the right entity. If you or she are not responsible enough to logically use a credit card...then neither of you hold any business using one.
I know this is NOT what you want to hear.but this is the best way. I well-read this from experience(hubby's EX-WIFE)! But we now hold excellent credit rating. Good luck!
I have have a credit card company negoitiate a payment prior to file bankruptcy. They contacted me to obtain $ before the ruin. Different situation, but it leads me to believe they may work beside you.
Good Luck
It can not affect your credit as it is just surrounded by her name and not your's. They may try to put a lien on something you and your wife owe, but i.e. as close as they can get to you.
I agree beside waiting to see what the cc company does, appearently they haven't tried to contact your wife or she hasn't told you they have...
Lots of poor answers here, especially Starry Eyes. Not surprising that a collection agent would recommend that you settle this debt. Wonder why she didn't mention the Statute of Limitations?
OK, let start all over.
Start by reading the association below. It describes the statute of limitations and credit reporting time limits. The SOL is the legally recognized time frame a creditor has to sue you for a debt. That time begin from the date of the last transaction or pay.
Once that date is past, they can not sue you. If they do, you wallet a simple motion with the style guru to dismiss based on the expiration of the SOL.
So your first errand is to find out if you still owe this debt. If not, send the collection agent a memo to cease and desist from further collection deeds so he will quit bothering you.
If you are not past the SOL, you own to decide if you want to lay a wager on them suing you. From my observations, they may go after you for this much debt.
Whether they can step after your wages or bank accounts will depend on the state you live surrounded by. There are seven "community property" states that consider the spouses income to be combined. They are:
Arizona
California
Idaho
Louisiana
Nevada
New Mexico
Texas
Washington
Wisconsin
If you live in one of these states, they can frills the spouses wages.
If not, they have to amount out how to collect from the wife only. If she doesn't work that's going to be thorny. If all the property is within your name or shared, that's gonna make it rough also. So put adjectives these factors together when you agree on if you decide to have a flutter and ignore the collection agent.
Note that the time allowed to report this on her credit history is 7 years, starting from the date of the finishing delinquency. After that it will automatically drop off.
One more comment something like Starry Eyes's answerI've been limiting people something like this for months now, and she lately confirms it!
When you pay rotten a past due debt, it does NOT get hold of it removed from your credit history. It will now show it's be paid, but it will still show it be in collections. It's still a glum item on your report!
Would you rather be kicked contained by the head or the groin? Neither! It still hurts!
So why would anyone take-home pay off a debt but still hold it hurt their credit history? It's not fair. So if you plan to pay cheque this off, create sure you DEMAND IN WRITING that all refusal information be removed from your credit report. Yes, they can legally do it (may read aloud they can't). I will be happy to point out where on earth in the tenet it gives them this right.
Good luck.
Okay, solely if your SSN is on the card along with her's, it will not hurt your credit. But settling the debt at over partially will most likely be reported to the IRS as a levy. This is happening to my sister. She have a card that she owes $650 on and refuses to pay packet it. The company sent her a letter proverb that if she didn't want to settle the debt at half the transfer of funds, it would be reported to the IRS and she would have to reimburse it during tax season. Try to settle the debt contained by full, if you can't, contact a lawyer and find out what your option are.
My one question is that, what happen to the monthly statements? If you still had a match why didn't you receive monthly statements so you could pay on it?
Don't verbs the can not garnish your wages. It won't necessarily effect your credit, if it is not a communal account. I would phone and settle.
The Statute of Limitations is just around out - some states 4 yrs the most is 6 yrs.
She legally won't owe the debt within 12 months or less..Paying it rotten won't positively affect her credit - it'll just "activate" a fruitless debt
The law is at hand - use it .
WHATEVER YOU DO - DON'T contact the creditor/credit collector or else you will start the Clock ALL OVER and later it becomes a tentative 13K debt!!
Credit Card Question...Please Assist?
Question:
I am attempting to build my credit. Let me know if this method is OK, or if you recommend something else:
I pay persistent charges (cell phone bill, hosting fees, electric bill, etc) with my credit card - after pay stale my credit card bill with my debit card/checking sketch. I have the money to repay off the inveterate bills when they arrive, but thought if a credit card is used (rather than a debit card) it would at least show credit diversion.
Is this an OK method to building credit?
Another thing: I am going to bear out a secured loan from a bank within the amount of $3500. I already have a disc in that amount, and will use the disc to secure the loan. Once I enjoy the $3500 from the bank, I will hold it (not spend it) and wages it back to the wall in small increments to build a solid rapport next to them. Has anyone tried similar?
Thanks
Answer:
The ONLY thing that I see as a slight cynical is that you'll end up paying interest on the secured loan and explicitly an outflow of money that you could better utilize...BUT if you're planning on a quick payback to minimize the interest remunerated out, you've got a pretty apt idea on your hand.
Using your debit card to pay your credit card is not a discouraging thing. Debit cards do not show on your credit report since the intention on a debit card is the handiness to access the money in your checking story. And since you're on time near your payments, your credit is going in the right direction.
You could get underway a revolving store account and instead of using your credit card to purchase the shirt, use the store card. Store cards might not get the weight of a Visa or Master Card within purchasing power, but they still show an open sketch with a great payoff history. The negative is that, unless you use the card on a semi-regular font, your report won't show anything but an open credit procession.
Good for you..but don't feel you involve to keep the secured loan for as long as the vocabulary. If it's a three year loan, pay it hindmost in one.You can other pay support early.
You are on the right track. Revolving credit is notably factored in the FICO scoring model, so try to come by 1 or 2 more revolving accounts...like a store charge card. Target is mostly fair, within fact, if you hold a major cc you can usually return with a card from them. Be sure to keep your credit -to- credit aim ratio low on any card as this is factored into the score as capably.
While the secured loan is ok, it will usually show up as "secured" on your credit report and this won't help you as much as an unsecured explanation will.
yes dearie you're on the right track
all the best
preserve up
Borrowing money in charge to re-invest it is always a impossible and risky idea.
Your theory on the credit card is what I've recommended many times. Work at trying to procure the credit limit booted up to around $5-10k. Too dignified of a limit may in actuality hurt your score.
Paying bill prompt is not enough to build credit hastily.

Answer:
www.annualcreditreport.com
try freecreditreport.com
annualcreditreport.com is the official site. freecreditreport.com is currently lower than investigation by Florida's attorney general for misleading consumers into "signing up" for what they THOUGHT be a free credit report, but in reality is a subscription service.
"Floridas AG investigates FreeCreditReport.com"
http://redtape.msnbc.com/2006/11/florida...
You can go to www.annualcreditreport.com or travel directly to experian, trans union and equifax's sites individually. It is federal decree that you can obtain a free report per company per calendar year. To grasp the score, you will own to pay a small charge (usually $8-10) to have the rack up added to your free report.
I am repairing my credit and I enjoy 2 accounts near Citibank that be charge offs from 2002?
Question:
They say I cannot discharge on the charge offs because they have no journal of what I owe them but they cannot update or remove them. That doesnt seem even-handed. They are listed on my credit report but nonetheless if they have no approach to look it up they should be able to pilfer it off right?
Answer:
Kevin K! One minute I contemplate you actually know something nearly debt repair..then you post this codswallop!
Andrea, tell me something. Can you use $1000? Would you resembling me to show you how to get it?
Start by reading the first association below about the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
The slice you want to pay attention to say:
(5) Treatment of inaccurate or unverifiable information.
(A) In standard. If, after any reinvestigation under paragraph (1) of any information disputed by a consumer, an item of the information is found to be wrong or incomplete or cannot be verified, the consumer reporting agency shall promptly delete that item of information from the consumer's file or modify that item of information, as appropriate, base on the results of the reinvestigation.
OK, so now consent to me tell you how the "game" is played.
Send a dispute memo to the credit bureau (ignore Kevin's advice, it's REQUIRED to do it!). Dispute the information, and be sure to include within your letter that you want to be informed of the "method used to investigate this complaint".
Note that when a credit bureau "verified" the debt, they are one and only required to contact the person almanac it and ask if it's a valid debt. If they are told it is valid, the listing stays, because it is immediately "verified" by the credit bureau.
But in this satchel, the CRA must supply you with exactly how they investigated this. Generally its going to say-so they called a unquestionable person, who verified the exactness of the listing.
Step 2: Send a note to this person who verified the debt, and emergency that they "validate" the debt. Use the sample memorandum I posted below. By "validating" a debt, they must supply you with copies of bills, receipts, contracts, and everything used to divide what they claim you owe.
You claim CitiBank doesn't have this. So definitely the collection agency doesn't either. In this suitcase, how did they verify a debt that they didn't have any files?
If they fail to substantiate this debt, and the report stays on your credit report, you now enjoy fulfilled the requirements of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and you may sue them in small claims court for $1000, plus any decriminalized costs and damages.
Trust me, this works. I've helped copious people attain this off their reports, and I've have to sue a creditor for the same piece (got $1200 for my troubles).
Contact me if you need more assistance. I am not a advocate or credit counselor, just someone who like to pester abusive creditors.
I would dispute these description with the credit reporting agencies. They hold to verify from citibank. If they can't, then they must remove these from your credit report.
Once a debt is charged sour it is out of the hands of the OC (original creditor). Get the name/address of the collection agency nominated on your reports and request validation from them. Do not contact the credit reporting agencies (CRAs) as they only enjoy to "verify" the information, not "validate" it (prove it's yours). Usually, those just come wager on "verified" and you are back to where on earth you started. If you request validation, the collection agency will have to acquire original copies of the debt from Citibank. If they can't, which happen in most cases, they won't be capable of list it on your reports.
See "validation of debts" underneath Section 809 of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpa/fdc...
What they did was erase your description. As far as they are concerned, they lost money on your account, reported it, and very soon its forgotten. It takes 10 years for negative to leave your report. If within was a judgment you couldn't pay stern then, you may enjoy a small (I think smaller number then 200 word) record put in your credit report to explain your side. (like lost mission, divorce, death) That way some creditors may budge easier on you.
First off disputing will not catch this item off because adjectives they verify is your ssn, and if they match consequently you just thin your time cause the charges will stay. What you enjoy to do is write a letter directly to citibank explicitly certified and 30 days to responde. They will have to dispatch you something in those 30 days to confirm the explanation or present you with a message to fax to the equifax, experian, and transunion informing them of not finding accurate information about the explanation thus needing to remove it from your credit profile
Dispute them by writing a message to each of the 3 bureaus and if they can not verify the correctness of the information they will have to remove it.
Here is some superfluous info. Hope this helps.
dispute it 100% , you will win this one, www.experian.com/dispute
How would someone shift more or less settling debt beside a credit card company?

http://debt-relief-free.blogspot.com/...
Easy, I have to do this with my wife. Just name up the credit card company, and ask for a buy out. They will drop 40% off your bill, if you salary it in full.
credit cards
You can send for them and discuss it with them and notify them that you are willing to settle, and hold a focus amount in mind. They may notify you that you need to settle for the entire amount. You will requirement to negotiate with them, and simply tell them that this is how much you own to give them. They may elevate it a bit, but I doubt you could settle for less than partly. good luck.
Keep these points within mind.
Try to negotiate with the ingenious creditor if possible. There is no imperative requiring you to even talk to a collection agent!
DO NOT CALL! Make adjectives communications by mail. This is particularly important surrounded by any debt negotiation so as not to restart the statute of limitations.
Demand that in exchange for contribution of the debt they must:
-delete all unenthusiastic information from your credit report.
-agree in writing that the payments received copy full payment of the debt, and that any remaining match will not be resold to another collection agency.
-that no portion of this debt will be written off or "charged off", and that for excise purposes they will not submit a 1099c to the IRS.
Get these negotiations surrounded by writing before you settle them a dime!
Start by offering 50% of the debt, and expect to hassle a bit. Many times you will be lucky to get 30% knock off.
Note that debts below a couple years old are harder to negotiate. These are up to date debts and the creditor thinks they can squeeze you harder for them. Debts close the statute of limitation date are much easier to pedal, because the creditor knows he may bring to a close up getting nothing!
Need give a hand on a credit card financial issue please!?
Question:
If you have a credit card maxed out at 10k dollars, would it be best to obtain a loan, pay it sour and close the account after pay past its sell-by date the loan? Or pay rotten the credit card? Only reason im asking is because if she keep the credit card with that money on it .. she won't "only pay it back" she will hold on to using it lol .. any advice on what to do?
Answer:
First find out what the interest rate is on the card. Compare it to what you can attain for a bank loan. You know you can also close the card while you compensate it off so you can't bring in more purchases. Becareful doing this though becuase it could hurt your credit score.
I would maintain the card as I pay it past its sell-by date and not use it. I would also take the card from her for sure if not you will never pay it.
umm step to the bank and take a loan because the interest rate could be smaller. Do NOT go to a loan till payday place. they are similar to 200% interest
Don't get a loan to pay cheque off a credit card. If you non-attendance on a loan, they can take your home, coup¨¦, etc. to pay rotten the debt. They can't do that with a credit card. It's much better to own credit card debt than loan debt.
Cut up the physical card to keep her from using it until it is remunerated off. You might also want to take the person next to the issue to get some backing for shopping adiction, if you feel that they truly own a problem.
Good luck!
First cut up the credit card, and close the account. You are hurtful your credit by keeping a balance over 30%. On a average it drops your evaluation 20 points. Also, call the credit card company and make clear to them not to allow any more account to be open in your or her ssn. Then negotiate to own a 0% interest payback to aid you in getting out of financial crisis.
Here are several compnies offering bad credit loans. No business how poor/bad is your credit you can apply for loan,

If you "close" the account, that can hold a negative impact on the credit report at appendage. It is best just to income off the go together as you can. Just cut the credit card, and watch the e-mail for any new suspicious envelopes that might contain a foreign credit card in it.
If you can grasp a low interest loan to pay it bad, then you can do that, but dont close the vindication - it will reflect negatively.
Wuw, Im sorry to hear that, if Im not mistaken my aunt have this same scenario, she often asks credit mess assistance from NHBS, INC..They enjoy a good squad why not try check with them
Closing a remunerated account can affect the score negatively. You need to foot it off and cart the card from her.
I wrote an article on this subject...check it out.
Banks mostly do not give personal loans to compensate off debts and you don't want a debt consolidation loan on your report because it will imitate negatively on you for the next 7 years.
You could cut the card and relate her it's closed, but if she is the one who opened the details (by herself), then you can't phone up to cancel - she would obligation to do that.
If you opened the statement and put her name on as a second cardholder, you human being the main cardholder, hold the right to take her entitle off essentially cancel HER card and not yours.
Either way, you stipulation to clip her card and not order a foreign card until the bill is cleared. Concentrate all your extra money on the bill and gain that bill GONE!!

Best process to solve credit report?
Question:
I have currently 3 debts on my credit report surrounded by collections that were from the irresponsible college days (visa, directv, and cingular). They together with the sole purpose total about $1200, beside about $950 to the cc. I own about $600 to play around near. My current score is 589. Would paying the 2 cheaper debts bring to the fore my score more, or should I put it toward the cc? The simply agency that has contacted me be the cc one, and all of the debts are almost 2 years old. Would it be better to profile dispute claims, even though I know they're mine? Finally, how can I be sure that it will come off my credit report once I wage?
Thanks!
Answer:
Make payment arrangements next to the creditors and make what ever payments you can. I'd start near the lower balances and bring in larger payments on them first, then meet the larger ones. But make sure you do some nature of payment on adjectives the accounts.
You can also contact a consolidation company to help you, thats what I did to lower my rates and formulate my payments lower for all the balance, then I took out one details at a time.
After you have salaried them, the companies you owed will report to the credit bureau within 30-90 days after the final costs is processed. The best thing to do is to bring a payment memo from the creditors and mail a copy of that communication to Transunion, Equifax and Experian. That's what I did and the bureaus responded in a timely maner next to confirmation letters to me that the accounts be in the clear.
Once these debts are rewarded you will need to re-establish yourself beside accounts and loans you can maintain that don't progress into collections or past dues. These will also oblige raise your mark.
Yes pay the debts. Start beside the highest interest rate one first. As soon as they are compensated, ask them to report it and also get a copy of the notification for your files. Check your credit report about 60 days after that and it should be there.
Paying the debts in a minute can hurt your credit score further. As it stands immediately, the debts will fall sour in approx 5-6 years. If you retribution the debts now, they will re-age and the 7 year will start over again.
Start near disputing the debts as not mine. If they do not come off, afterwards start negotiations beside the collection companies.
If you want to pay the debts, construct an offer to the collection agencies to pay envelope the debt for immediate removal from adjectives three credit reports. If they are not willing to remove the debts or articulate they will, but refuses to put it within writing, leave the debts alone.
Make them read between the lines that you are in control. You know that the debts are aging and paying them next to out removal will further damage your credit rack up. Let them know, that if they want money, they get what you can afford to recompense with on the spot removal or they get zilch.
Send all corespondence within writing, return receipt just.
Good luck
The best advice that I can grant you is to go to:
www.creditboards.com
www.whychat.5u.com and
www.budhibbs.com
After you call on those sites, you'll never have problems disputing your credit again. Promise.
Dispute everything on your credit report you want. EVERYTHING! And you hold to do this with adjectives three credit reporting agencies. Experian, Equifax, and Transunion.
How the laws works is resembling this:
Once you dispute an item on your credit report, ie a 2k debt with Chase Credit card. You contact Experian and dispute that dept. They enjoy 30 days by law to contact Chase and verify the debt. If Chase drags their foot or if Experian drags their feet the debt must be removed if 30 days hold passed. Basicly they only hold 30 days to prove you wrong.
