Credit Questions and Answers

What can I do almost merchandise ordered but not deliver contained by the specified time?

Question:
On 29 December I ordered furniture from my local Harveys Furnishers and was quoted an 8-week transport period. Five months subsequently and I am still waiting. I have contacted the store within person, by touchtone phone and by letter but hold had no response. I hold contacted Harvey's head organization but haven't heard from them. I remunerated most of the money and signed a Fixed Sum Loan Agreement with 12 months interest free credit for the harmonize. There is seven months left to run on this but I hold no furniture to show for it. I want to cancel the instruct and get rear legs the money that I paid up-front, but what do I want to do to cancel the loan agreement? Do I enjoy to sue them, and, if so, how do I go roughly speaking it? What are my rights in this instance? Presumably, the credit company will own made a payment to Harveys for the furniture that I am still waiting for, so, within theory, I enjoy to pay them. Or do I?

Answer:
manager,!
Contact the head department. say they own totally exceeded the agreement and ask for your agreement to be cancelled! 5 months is outrageous. We were quoted 16-18 weeks for a leather suite which took 22 and come in the wrong colour( misty brown instead of black) complained highly told them to clutch it back or 25% bad...we won! why are you paying before the item arrives? bombard herald office next to letters phone call etc...make sure you dispatch letters registered post to ensure to can state the correspondence were received..next contact Trading standards. The fact that you own heard nought from Head Office is very suspect...Citizens Advice Or Trading Standards is your best bet!

Also small claims court...it will cost you approx lb40 and achieve trading standards on your side..I did it with MFI ! I won again
You should hire a attorney and once he contacts the store they will do something now that they know you are predisposed to take this the subsequent step.
Contact the company you are making payments to first and explain that you have received no items and that you want to know how to button this matter beside them. You should also go to the local store you bought the items at and constraint the order be cancelled, and grasp it in writting. If they stay away from, contact your better business bureau and file a complaint and see if they can further assist you beside getting the order cancelled.
As for getting your money hindmost. Once the order is cancelled, the retailer desires to credit back the financing company, who consequently will need to compensation you.

Good Luck
credit agreement has be broken by them so you can ask for your money back.
Dispute the charge on your credit card. This take a lot of hassle and paperwork, but it will be worth it. Tell the company i.e. not in compliance that you intend to oppose the charge. That will probably get their flipside end surrounded by gear and get you your furniture.
The amount is small plenty that you could take them to small claims court, but back you do that I suggest the following:

1) Report to the state attorney general.

2) Report to the better business bureau.

3) stir to the library, and find a book on contracts or other general endorsed topics to see what legal concepts come into play for your problem.

4) Write a certified message (keep a copy for yourself) to the company and the lender stating the problem and your expectations. Give them a two week deadline to reply, and tell them if you hold to go to small claims court you expect to be compensated for the time taken to prepare a allowed case and other expenses.

5) Check to craft certain (at some point) that they are not messing up your credit report, if so tag on your side into the report.
The Federal Trade Commission has a 30 daylight rule on items paid for. The store have received thier money and are behind on this, even olden hte 8 week time frame.

Contact the store, ask for the manager and stay on the phone until you settle to them. Explain the situation and ask what needs to be done:
A) you will receive your furniture and a date of tally
or
B) y ou will contact a lawyer. Any attorney would jump at this. It's an widen and shut case. Paid for items. Not received items. Led on for 5months. Tell this to the store superintendent and also point out that pain and suffereing for living WITHOUT those pieces may seize into the millions of dollars....
There is a site where family have have problems with harveys. I can't remember what it is but enjoy read the stories on it try searching for it
see your small claims court for insist on, it costs pounds to inact
You can get your money rear, see trading standards

Question:

Answer:
If they can not validate the debt they are required by decree to remove the debt from all your credit reports. You would not be obligated to recompense it then.

The item(s) will be removed from your credit report.

you are in the clear later!
If a debt collector is going to sue you in command to collect a debt, he has to prove the debt exists surrounded by court. He can do this with the documents, but it sounds similar to he doesn't have them. He could also prove it by introducing any entry you made wherein you admitted the debt existed, or any ackowledgment by you that the debt exists. If your access or acknowledgment was lone oral, then it is his word against yours.

If the debt have gone past the statute of limitations contained by your state, then the debt collector cannot collect from you using the permissible system.
All they have to do is dispatch you a copy of the invoice or statment or agreement or your NSF check...depending on what your bill is for. That is validation.

Burden of proof is always on you, not the bill collector. Sure they enjoy to have something to show you as a validation but your the one who requirements to worry just about it.

If there is a bill on your credit report that you did not run up...than you requirement to file a police report for fraud.

Sometimes it take time for the bill collector to get paperwork from their client so be tolerant. Other than that...if you go pushing the bill collector after they distribute you invoices or whatever...you can piss them stale. And if you piss them off...
they will sue you than instead of you own had remunerated you bill...you need to retribution for counsel to represent you and than when they get their pronouncement as they do 9 out of 10 times...you will end up paying sensible attorney fees to their attorney, interest, fees and the costs they expanded to sue you.

They will add it adjectives up and put it on a nice piece of paper call a judgment and if you dont compensate that...they will enforce the judgment and do things similar to...garnish your wages, levy your sandbank account, wallet lien on your property, attach to your assets, etc.

If you dont have none of that...they will report an abstract judgment and hold on to their judgmet for 10 years on your credit report till you do have something they can whip. In some states they can renew the abstract just once so it will be in attendance for 20 years and in other states approaching CA for example they can renew an abstract forever.

Just pay the bill after the collector sends you docs. You will thank yourself next.

If you dont reward your credit card bill what happen??you wont attain credit card anywhere surrounded by the world??

Question:

Answer:
1) You're credit rating will plummet.
2) Nobody will ever lend you money again (not for seven or eight years anyway).
3) Collection agents will hound you, your friends, and your family to the ends of the top soil trying to reclaim their lost $.

Pay The Bill... you'll thank yourself later!
You'll achieve sent to collections, have to pay envelope even more, and it will hurt your credit score.
heheh. They throw you surrounded by their chambers and pound you to death... Just kid.

This is what will happen...they will any take a write stale or they will forward the account to a collection agency who will put together a few calls and convey you a few letters and if you dont income them they will have you served and if you dont profile an answer to the lawsuit they will get evasion judgment. If you do record an answer you will end up have to go to trial and paying money to own an attorney represent you and they will still get perspicacity.

Once the have their pronouncement...if you have a duty they will garnish your wages, if you own a bank article they will do a bank levy, if you enjoy property they will file liens and if you enjoy assets...they will attach to them.

If you dont have any of those...they will record whats called an abstract sentence which means it will be on your credit and accurate for 10 years and they will renew it every ten years and enforce their judgment till they win their money. In some states they can renew the abstract up to only 20 years and within others like California...they can renew it as much as they want.

NO. you will not take anymore credit here. If you go to another country and they might slip up and grant you a credit card but that probably wont last long....

The creditor who have a judgment might find you and than what they will do is hire counsel surrounded by your location...counsel will do whats called "domesticating" the shrewdness and that is when the court within that area approves the pronouncement to be enforced in their state, country...than they will try and draw from their money from you there and try and report it on your credit report their and the creditors will not pass you anymore credit again.

But thats rare...surrounded by most cases if you move out of the country they wont come after you. The chances are that something like 6 out of 10 people catch found. Some Agencies like the one I work for enjoy international collectors all over the place.

Besides...who would want to disappear America for any other country?

Good Luck
Small steps like paying your bills on the dot and using only fragment of the credit available to you. Also use your credit cards for making small payments regularly, so that it is reflected surrounded by your credit record. More tips available at http://www.acreditlibrary.com/buildcredi...

Always make more consequently the minimum payment. Even if it's a bit more. Don't over extend yourself but pay as much as you can afford.
depends on what you stingy? Just consolidating debt doesnt as long as you make your min. payments to everyone monthly.

Question going on for credit, Can the bound of money you hold on your card be raise lacking you you knowing?

Question:
I just checked my assets one credit account online and my keep a tight rein on was $300 presently it says $500. Is this a mistake or what? i'm spanking new with credit cards lol

Answer:
They do that adjectives the time with customers contained by good standing. And slightly often, they do not transmit you that they've done it. Be careful next to that if you plan on making any large purchases soon. If buying a motor or a house, not only will a potential creditor look at the actual amount of debt you own, but they will also look at the amount of money AVAILABLE for you to borrow right now (even if you hold not borrowed the full amount available). The creditor will determine your ability to reward off the amount availabe to you, not your current be a foil for on the card, b/c they know that you can go on a spending spree 5 minutes after chitchat to them ;)

I asked Capital One to not raise my credit goal on my card anymore for this reason. I didn't want to seize turned down for a mortgage because Capital One said I had $15,000 available to me, when I really lone had $500 on the card! It's a accurate thing they are raise your limit, but you may want to telephone and give THEM a aim at least a month formerly making any large purchases :)
Yes unless you enjoy the Credit card company put a limit on your tale they will raise your hinder as you charge more on your card but they will send you a consideration stating they've raised your time limit.
no...its not a mistake. if you have be making payments on time (usually after 6 months or enjoy made 6 payments on time) credit card companies will incresase your limit automatically. Dont verbs, its a good entry on your behalf. congrats!
Yes they can raise the impede without you knowing. Usually they will contact you via post but I have have some companies that don't even do that. But its yours...
Yes. Companies will increase your credit as you build a history with them. If you settle on time and don't step overlimit or are close to being maxed out they will eventually make higher the limit on your statement. This can be good for you because it will lower the ratio of debt thus giving you a better fico evaluation (if you don't use more credit that is).

You're just starting out so don't draw from yourself in a hole that you enjoy to did out of ( believe me it's NO FUN). Try not to spend what you don't have.
You don't enjoy to request the increase, but they should inform you about it, any on the statement or in a separate dispatch. Try calling their customer service and ask since when they raised the hamper on your card and when did they notify you about. Also, have a big limit is truly a good point, b/c when the credit score for you is calculated, they look into the credit rein in to balance owed ratio (the bigger the difference, the better you look on the credit report.)
It is not a mistake...and it is what you want! What you own is like a starter card (probably your first credit card right?) They start you rotten low with a $300 credit and after if you pay your bills on the dot and seem to be doing moral managing your credit - they will raise it to $500. If you save doing well they will lift up it again to $700 or $1000, and then to $2000 and so on. I own capital one also and did the exact same entry I have have the card for about 5 years very soon and i started at $300 and now am at $3000.
Yes, if u are doing polite on making payments they raise it sometimes..
Yes, if you enjoy a good wage history they will automatically review it every so often, if you pay packet on time, after chances are they will hold raising your restrict....so keep paying in good time and just don't shift crazy and over extend yourself just do they raised the inhibit....

Question:
This comapny with this phone number 888-813-5726 told me i be approved for a loan of 20,000 and that they deal near bank of amercia but that my credit be bad and they own a private lender and i would have to pay cheque four months of my payments upfront and send it to the company and money will be contained by my account 24hrs then the guys name be owen hudson and the a ddress he gave me be 125 bank street missoula, mt does anyone own any info on them whether it is a fraud or not i have be frauded twice and would like to know if anyone know if this company is legit or not the website also is www.northpointlending.net please capture back to me asap thankss

Answer:
One of the most adjectives scams out within. If you're to prepay four months of the loan, it should be done AFTER you get your money, not since. It's a rip-off - stay away or be a lot poorer.
rip rotten dont do it
sounds like a scam. check them out on the BBB website.
I am from Canada and within our area freshly recently at hand has be a scam running where a broker supposedly brokers a loan, but here is a fee attached. SCAM!
In Canada this is forbidden, your never pay a broker's charge before you receive the money. So, I ruminate if I was you, I'd look elsewhere.
SCAM!!
u should never pay envelope a free for a company lending u money
North Point Lending is a made-up company. Don't be fooled by the website, it's a front for a scam and is probably not even based contained by the United States. It is illegal to ask for money upfront surrounded by exchange for a loan. If you send them anything they with the sole purpose ask you for more based on a "re-evaluation" of your loan status or similar BS. Once you stop sending them money you'll never hear from them again or see your money again. It's call a Pre-pay loan scam and those desperate for loans will see a lot and tip out for them a lot. Never never never dispatch anyone who promises you a loan any money!
DO NOT PURSUE THIS for heavens sake. If you have be a victim of fraud already you are probably on a schedule of targets. Merely taking a loan [if it even exists, which sounds doubtful] from some agencies can in fact REDUCE your credit score because they will charge you glorious interest rates and you will be graded as a frequent defaulter/ non-payer. Only procure a loan from someone YOU pursue.
See a non-proft credit counselor in your nouns IMMEDIATELY!
Im investigating them and checking to see if they r legit dont give them zilch !
Rich k
Well I have hear of them as of last hours of darkness he called me as ably and offered me 5000 and have to foot four months up front as well I enjoy been scammed close to this before and I don't regard as you should do it.
dont believe this scam a guy with the moniker oliver price told us the same entity its a big scam check it out on the bbb it was simply opened april of this year
ok I own been conversation to them and to the BBB. The answers are sketchy about it adjectives except that they do not have any actual complaints that not a soul recieved their money. The one main complaint be from one individual that they did not get their money , due to 3 days prior to requesting the loan they file for bankruptcy, and North point . fixing to release the loan be notified in the region of it. So the funds were never released but they be refunded their money. but On the BBB website they do own there that in that are 0 founded complaints. So I think that I am going to randomness it, They sent me all of the article work with adjectives information, So if all is right beside this I will post the result.. Hopefully I am not a total fool

Cleaning up my credit report?

Question:
I have deeply of old debt on my report. Plus a few things that be added about a year ago. A few things are going to plunge off this summer. I go through 2 layoffs and a car repossession ( the vehicle was a lemon that wouldnt even drive anymore). I enjoy 2 civil judgements ( One is the car repo) reported as resourcefully. Anyone have any word of direction? Should I start paying off the newer debts or does it even thing at this point? Or should I send post to the creditors asking them to remove negative remarks within exchange for a full payment? My mark is very thoroughly low. Like under 400 low. I would approaching to be able to buy a house surrounded by 2 years and a new vehicle sooner than that. Any advice would help out

Answer:
Well, it sounds like you're trying to acquire things in directive. To be honest, you've actually provided answers within your own question. But, I'll append some extra strategies that you can do, but first you may want to know how your score's broken down:

35% Payment History- This makes up the most of your rack up. This determines your payment traditions

30% Total debt owed- This is the 2nd largest component of your score. This determines how much you've borrowed altogether

15% Length of credit history- This determines how long that you've be borrowing

10% Types of credit- This determines what purpose you've borrowed for. There are 2 main types of credit, revolving and installment. Credit cards are installment and mortgages, vehicle, signature, student loans are installment loans.

10% Inquiries and new credit- This determines whether you've applied for alien credit and new accounts that's be opened it times past 6 months.

Now that you know that, the best way to bring up your chalk up is to handle what's hurting it the most: the slowly payments. My suggestion would be to pay bad the most recent and smallest balance delinquencies first. Go ahead and play the waiting hobby that with the ones that will crash off this summer. The elder ones, like you said you could negotiate for a "reward for deletion" off your report. If you're competent to get them to agree to this, find them to send you something contained by writing on their company letterhead before sending them a dime. Also, don't use your checking sketch information. Send cashiers' checks or money orders. Make sure that you distribute everything certified mail. That agency, you have a treatise trail that can support you in the event they want to try to sheist you. As for the judgements, that may lug a little more work. Those are going to be on your credit for a while, but the prime thing right presently would be to clear those delinquencies.

Another thing you can do if you're paying on the dot and you want to show it is check this website out. It's a New credit bureau that reports not only regular monthly payments approaching credit cards, car loans, that show on your report, but also rent utilities, cell phone, year care, and other monthly bills that DON'T show on your credit reports.

This will back you a LOT. If you're needing to build your credit, this is the unflawed route to get you on the passageway to doing that. Check out this website thoroughly.
If you can afford to pay them past its sell-by date - I would definetly try negoiating with the creditors to enjoy the info removed. I've heard of citizens doing this, but I've never actually hear if it worked or not, but the most they can say is no.

In the stingy time, keep paying your bills prompt. Get the judgements paid rotten - even if they don't agree to remove them. Judgements can be refiled and it'll be like they'll never come rotten. / Keep credit balances below 30% or use brass / Don't apply for too much credit - inquires can hurt your score and likelihood for getting credit when you need it. / More than feasible, most of this is just going to help yourself to time. Try to be patient.
Go to trans confederation and pull your credit report for dispute. You variety sure that everything is on there is accurate first. There is a space on in attendance that allows you to make remarks resembling job layoffs, stirring duty etc. Then you need to start making payments to the folks you owe. You can make settlements substance settling for a specified amount that is lower than what you certainly owe. Always save your receipts to show proof that you did discharge.
Never avoid the bill collectors calls confer to them even if you have to settle the min. amount.
When you do a dispute by law the hold about 30 days to respond if the companies don't respond by decree they have to whip it off your credit report.
Don't verbs your credit score too much because that can enjoy negative effect on your win.. You don't have to discharge your medical bills right away let that be your closing thing because Mortgage companies see medical bills and student loans as an allowable debt.
Pay stale the smaller bills first.... **No more late payments** From in a minute on you need to budget your money and discharge on time, if you cannot compensate on time you inevitability to call ahead and engender payment arrangements.
If you enjoy credit cards do not close the accounts closing the accounts will do more damage to your credit chalk up.
Good luck!
First validate the debts you want to payment off next to the credit reporting agencies (CRA's).

If the credit bureau comes back as validate the debt send your subsequent letter to the CRA's asking for the company christen and phone number that they validated the debt from. Many times they will not know how to provide that information because it is only a computerized search out of public records instead of calling the courthouse where on earth the actual judgments exists. thus they will hold to delete from your credit report.

yes paying off your debt in a minute will make your credit look well brought-up in the long run.. and hold on to it that way.
buys things surrounded by cash for in a minute til u get vertebrae on your feet
Whew! Sounds close to you've been through profusely. If you have the money to compensate off the debts, do it. Make your civil judgment your first priority. No mortgage lender will lend you money with those unfurl on your report.
Negotiate for less than you owe...see if the collectors will work beside you. Every time you pay something sour, make sure you obtain something in writing proving that the debt is settled. Send a copy of that to credit bureaus as you run along.
Just know that even if you pay the old-fashioned debt, it still has to remain on your report for 7 years. There is no "remove surrounded by exchange for payment".
Also be advised that newly because something has run its course and is no longer on your report after 7 years, the creditor still have the legal right to try and collect their money. Those things don't basically disappear. Even though they are old, they still stipulation to be addressed too.
Good luck!
