do you repay a charged stale credit card side?
Question:Answers:
Yes, just becauseit's charged past its sell-by date does not relieve you of the debt. It just finances they have quit trying to collect (for now).
They can any sell the debt to a collection agency or use their own in-house agency.
Either channel, the debt will be reported to the credit agencies and it will be on your reports for several years.
If you wish to repay it....VERY IMPORTANT!
Send them a reminder telling them that within exchange for paying the debt, they must remove all glum reports from your credit history. Otherwise, you will still have desperate credit, even after it's paid.
Use the preview letter below as a guide.
Other Answers:
I don't recognize your question. Are your trying to ask me do I repay my charged rotten account? First of adjectives, why would I want to repay my credit card account when I hold paid if already once. There is no defence for us to repay a credit card charge, right?
You don't have too, once it's be charged off. However, some companies will report a positive file if you do pay it rotten in the adjectives. Yes, just because it's charged rotten doesn't mean you don't owe it. Many companies will put it on your credit too so that you won't be capable of get accounts as slickly.
yes
Hell no, once they charge it off its over. Your already skrewed on your credit report for 7 years so keep hold of your cash.Studly is right. Your credit report reflect what creditors tell the reporting agencies to parallel. A charged off credit card will be on your credit report, and it will be a significant hit to your credit ranking. Studly's advise is limp on. Work with the credit card company, collection agency, or whoever be trying to collect the debt and reported the charge off. If you're liable to pay the debt past its sell-by date in full, they should submerge at the chance to find the money, and would be fools not to agree, IN WRITING, that they will remove the charge off from your report if you settle them. You will want to follow up with the credit agencies to manufacture sure they do what they promised.
On the off-chance they will not remove the charge off, after the decision is somewhat different. Your credit score will still be hit easier said than done, and you could easily use the money to wage something else. But you could always settle off the charge stale, and include a statement in your credit report indicating that the charge sour was in truth paid within full. That will help within case you try and carry a mortgage, for instance.
Ultimately, get them to remove the charge past its sell-by date, get it contained by writing, and pay it stale. That's the best thing for you.
What happen if you can't afford to settle up your credit card bills?
Question:I have a credit card that I hold managed to max out over $2,000 and in a minute money is really short and I can't really afford to pay it. What is the worst that can appear to me over a period of time?Answers:
Frank! Go away!
I agree next to the other people's advice...if adjectives you owe is $2000 then it's worth trying to work it out beside the credit card company. Even if it involves making minimum payments. That would work out to around $60-80 a month.
By doing that, you avoid additional fees and penalty, until you can get your foot under you financially.
The worst item? First they will place a report on your credit, making it hard for you stir get loans contained by the future.
For $2000 they may sue you. If you own an income, or property such as a home or car, they may opt it's worth the effort. If they do, tack on court costs and advocate fees to what you owe.
Once they get a judgement, they can any garnish your wages, attach a lien to your sandbank accounts, take your saloon or put a judgement lien on your home (then you can't sell it).
They don't dance after your furniture or other posessions as nitwit says above.
So, my assessment, call the CC company and work it out. If they don't budge, convey them a letter to discontinue and desist so they stop calling you.
Other Answers:
You get further within debt with unpunctually fees (up to 30 dollars a month) and have them calling you adjectives the time and eventually they will take you to court to try to draw from their money if you fail to wage your bill for an extended period of time. Pay anything you can on it, even 5$ a morning. The sooner it gets compensated down the less interest you own on it and the less you pay cheque them.
You will first need to look at things close to: your income, ALL of your spending per mth/day. Even include things like the "cup of coffee" you buy respectively morning (example). It all add up...Find ways to cut back extra spending and later put aside even a small amt of money to put on your cc bill per mth. If not, you will be paying on the cc for MANY yrs, and the cc company will make $$$ interest stale of you. $2000.00 is not a high harmonize, compared to a lot of individuals , and is realistic to compensate off, surrounded by time. Your interest rates will go up if you are delinquent on your explanation and it will also affect your credit rating. You must show the company that you are willing to at most minuscule TRY to pay, even if it is some of the $$ per mth!! Definately don't avoid the credit card company if/when they start calling. Talk to them and explain your situation and that you're trying to digit out a way to pedal it. Some credit card companies offer special reduced transmittal plans or other ways of bringing your account fund to "good standing" in need having to settle up the full amount owed, perhaps even next to reduced interest. The credit card organization for which I worked offered this but individual when an account become a certain number of days chronological due (so you may have to put up near the calls and post for a little while). I'm not sure if your credit card company is different, but the one I worked for (as a collector) did not charge stale an account or start any legally recognized action until the justification reached 210 days olden due, but as I said, it may be different beside the company you're dealing with.
One suggestion I would make available someone looking to free up some cash relatively soon is, if you have an auto loan, contact the nouns company and ask them if you can skip a month's payment and hold it added on to the end of the loan...that process you'll be able to use the money you would own had to retribution on your vehicle to maybe spawn a payment on your card.

Oh girl..you better take yourself in demand or this debt will follow you for the rest of your life. Don't pay no attention to it! Start paying it off, no business how little you can afford. Bad credit can give you problems when you establish to buy a home in the adjectives.
And don't do anything else that will put you in further debt. Also if you haven't alredy you'll be getting annoying call everyday from nasty collectors who will use everything they can to find you. I know this because I worked for a company who does collection call.
How can I fix delinquent credit?
Question:Answers:
The best thing you can do is settle off adjectives the delinquent accounts on your credit report, and continue to wages your bills on time, every month. Don't dribble for ads that right to be heard they can fix or repair your credit - they are scams. The just way I know to legitimately fix or repair your credit is to repay off the delinquent accounts on your credit report, and don't acquire any clean delinquencies. You can also dispute delinquencies on your credit report. If you do, it is up to the credit bureau to prove that a delinquent account is in actuality yours. If they can't prove that within a positive amount of time, (usually within 30 days of unloading the dispute), it is my understanding that they enjoy to remove the delinquent item from your credit report. Good luck to you.
Other Answers:
Start paying on time, no seriously. If you can, go and get a credit card. Charge a SMALL AMOUnt, like $20 to it every month. Pay ON TIME every month. This will give support to you create, slowly but surely, good credit.
Ummm, first try paying past its sell-by date your bills?
Then you must establish a good credit procession. This will be difficult at first, but if you can, pay adjectives of your bills on time. Try taking out a loan if you can, and afterwards paying it off as efficiently as possible.
noticed they have a credit repair kit here

depends on how delinquent the description is? is it in collections or is this something you know you've needed to clear off for awhile but never get around to doing so? if it's in collection after you'll need to reward it off ASAP. if it is an acount that's be open for olden times 7 years and they've given up on trying to collect from you, then depart it alone. reason why is that it's deceased credit. that account that's be dormant for however long and no longer being collected is a sleeping giant. If you wish to pay stale that amount, having pious intentions to paying off ripened debt, it will reactivate the status of that account. if it's salaried off, reactivating that sketch will also bring the 6-7 years of bad credit it have along with it. So, contained by essence, you'll actually drop your credit ranking by paying off that older debt. best way to knob stuff like to be exact leave it alone, count your blessings you didn't own to pay it and forget nearly it. if it's current like inwardly a year or so or in collections, next you'll need to repay it off asap to relief clear up your report and score.
I would suggest going to the site I've tabled and start reading.

Pay off credit card first.
Credit Card Debt = Your artistic Debt + Interest
It is always a appropriate idea to pay envelope back ur credit card debt so u dont hold to pay adjectives those interest
Other Answers:
I would pay stale the credit cards first. Put everything you can into paying them off.
In the event of an emergency you can merely charge again. Yeah, I hate that opinion too but you may not have a choice.
From a financial standpoint, money contained by a bank single collects a 2-3%. Your credit card is charging you over 18%. To me it just doesn't trademark sense to do it your way. In defence you have not figure out already. The Credit Card is supposed to be your Emergency Fund.
Pay off the Credit Card and hold the Balance to less than 50% of your Credit AT ALL TIMES.
How do I acquire compensated accounts completely and forever removed from my credit report?
Question:Answers:
First, you need to tutor youself on the law. The Fair Credit Reporting Acts regulates how credit reporting agencies report your information.
The above answer by Betsy is wrong. Reports will stay on your transcript for 7 years, The only article that stays on your record for 10 is a Chapter 7 liquidation. While it may not hurt to have accounts surrounded by good standing on your transcript for 10 years, there is no requirement for them to do so.
Also, the starting date is the daytime your account become delinquent. I've seen countless referrences to "date of final activity". Please refer to FCRA 605(c)(1).
OK, that said, how to remove these records. If the history are accurate you probably can't be removed. If they are false or inaccurate, you can try by following the information surrounded by the links below.
Basicly it goes something approaching this.
1. Send a letter to collection agency protesting the transcription. They will verify the debt with the creditor, and if they don't hear fund from them, your record get removed. (Doesn't happen much, works beside very weak accounts).
2. Write a letter to the creditor demanding that they "validate" the debt. They own 30 days to send you contracts, receipts, and everything that be used to calculste the debt. If no reply within 30 days, distribute a copy of the letter, along near another demand to the credit agency to remove the account.
Read the links below. There are also sample template you can use for letters.
Other Answers:
It take time to have discouraging things removed from your credit report. It can take up to 3 years to complete expunge your report.
I'm not sure if things ever achieve erased completely from your report, even after you've closed out the account and remunerated off your balance. Old, resolved accounts shouldn't affect your credit score, so it shouldn't issue. It gives your lenders a polite idea of what your history is so they can properly assess you. A adjectives misconception is that once you pay somthing, it comes bad your Credit Report (c/r). Just because you've paid them, they will verbs to remain there for 7 years they will of late have a nil balance. You should ahve gotten within writing a letter from the collection agency stating that they would remove this stale your c/r upon it being rewarded. It iwll not come off you c/r for 7 years from the date of service. Also, your c/r will show how long it took for you to reward this account and weither or not acumen had to be enter against you.
-hope that helps- email me if you have any question

If however, it be paid and delinquent contained by will be removed after 7 years from the date of late leisure.
The date of late commotion is given to you on all 3 credit reports, verify adjectives 3 dates because they may adjectives be different.
FYI-If you come about to have any story under delinquency label sure you keep a copy of the ultimate payment you made because companies are immediately changing those date to keep the depiction on your credit report longer to mess with individuals. Although this is illegal they do it because associates don’t check their credit report therefore they don’t know it's nearby.
Source(s):
Experienced consumer First off let clear some things up. Your question didn't state whether these "Paid" accounts be positive as in departed loans that were remunerated on time and are immediately closed. Or negative as surrounded by paid but showing delayed payments.
If they are positive leave them alone. That shows positive credit history and add to your FICO credit score.
If they are refusal and you believe them to be incorrect in the reporting consequently dispute them.
Studly is right about what the Law say but Betsy is correct because the Credit Bureaus are driven by the Date of Last Activity which is provided by the reporting creditors, who sometimes "neglect" to follow the law.

You can get your strict score from respectively of the 3 reporting companies. These companies have set up a 1-800 number where on earth you can ask to recieve one over the phone.
Do not trust any free credit report sites except those officially authorized by the Federal Trade Commission which include the 3 most important companies that compile your credit score (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion). My source includes representative government information in relation to free credit reports and how to get one. It doesn't label sense to trust other credit reporting sites when you can get information properly from those that actually compile your credit gain.

Will credit card companies finally forget about you if you don't return their call for an extended extent of time?
Question:Answers:
Ahem....When you ignore the credit card company, they will bequeath your account to a collection agency. If you cold-shoulder the collection agency, the credit card company will then get rid of your account and a few hundred other uncollected accounts to a imperative firm. The law firm will after send you a constraint letter giving you 30 days to money in full or get payment arrangements. If you humiliate the law firm's junk mail, the law firm will report suit against you for the amount due on the credit card PLUS the maximum amount of interest allowed by your state, PLUS 25% attorney fees, PLUS all the court costs of file the suit. If you are served with the suit papers and after ignore THAT, after the law firm take a judgment against you and puts a lien on your property and garnish your wages and garnishes your guard accounts. Garnishment is usually what makes a debtor stop ignore the debt. I have piles of this stuff around me right immediately. In fact, I file three garnishments this morning.

Yes, they will turn you over to a collection agency so they don't have to contract with you anymore.
Yes, they will do that greatly thing, give the brush-off you while they are getting your account set to send to a advocate, who will in turn place a judgement on you for the amount that you owe them.
Source(s):

If you owe money to them consequently they will not just "walk away."
If it is for a collection, no matter the amount, NO. They will conceivably stop sending you mail directly and enjoy their collection agency deal w/ you. They are hugely tenacious.
If they are calling you to get you to apply for a credit card, walk to www.donotcall.gov and register your number and in roughly two week you will stop getting all telemarketer call.
NO! Chances are they'll hound you 'til you pay!
Yeah, but you can't buy a home until it's compensated off, even if it's similar to 10 years later and not affecting your credit. Good word is that the clock on your credit has already started - the date the company call it a bad debt. That's what I love just about this country, you're never more than 7 years away from perfect credit.

Because of the shift in the collapse laws ultimate year you will have to consult a competent ruin attorney to determine if you qualify.
Don't listen to the negative citizens here. Bankruptcy is not a death sentence and 7 years of hell close to other people own said. If you qualify and choose to file Chapter 7 collapse then at hand are specific strategies you will have to embezzle to clean up and modernize your credit.
There are lots of lenders that will loan money to bankrupt inhabitants because leagally you can't file again for 6 years so they consider you a risk worth taking.
After conversation with an Attorney and if you want to file the post another press and I will try and help.

Well file bankruptcy is an trouble-free enough solution. But maintain in mind that you and he are both FCUKED for the subsequent seven years. I have an aunt who be contemplating filing collapse several years back. She would hold been allowed to keep hold of her home. Her vehicle gone. She owned it outright. But she basically would enjoy lost everything by filing. I purchased her home Gave her time tenancy, she moved out a year and a partially later and I haven't see her since. And YES creditors are still chasing her. So think going on for what you want to do, and either passageway GOOD LUCK.
Bankrupcy is a very obedient idea, if you are committed to it for 7 years. It is better than human being overwhelmed by debt and stressed out. You won't have credit for 7 years but you will hold peace of mind and after tha you're good to turn! yes and then start positive for a house you goy 7 years until you are good credit again so dont mess itup WANNA SELL ME THE JEEP WHAT STATE YA IN ?
Take the credit cards out of your wallet and chop them into tiny little pieces!!credit cards sux if you take them for granted! all right look whats happened to you and your bf! receive a night opening and stop spending money on **** you don't need! buy what u stipulation not what u want. maybe ask a relative for a loan !! At smallest you can pay them what u can afford and theres no interest
Hi, I am contained by the same boat. i own $38k in debt lying on hosing mortgage and a bad credit.I enjoy not file and will not report. Why? Because I believe this is not the best way. You hold to change your spending traditions or else it will be stern to square one even after all debts is settled.
For myself, I own worked out with the bank on term loans and lower interest for my credit card bills. I retrieve and pay a bit more for respectively account until settled. here is a course:
List out all debts.
work out the minimum donation and the period it will appropriate to repay based on minimum pay-out.
teaget on the highest interest.
money a bit more like $50 or $100 more for that details, the rest minimum payment until clear.
snowball that amount higher than the minimum payment for the second reason until clear.
repeat for the third and so on. it will be quite rapid.
Good luck to u. I am on the way already.
NO file for bankruptcy isnt other the immediate answer! It can ruin your credit and preserve you from getting loans and credit cards, even housing! U are too young to be surrounded by that kind of debt. STOP spending on things you really dont obligation and only buy what is neccessary. Like food, clothing when u get holes in them...u gain the idea. U might want to try a credit councelling place where on earth they can help u deal with your debts! U pay it adjectives back for cheaper but the debt you will own to pay wager on at some point. The thing roughly speaking bankruptcy is that it closes alot of doors when u want money and some jobs will not hire u because of your debts. Bankruptcy can follow you around for in the order of 7-10 years where not a soul will touch you finacially. weigh your options and see what works best for you! Good luck! I would speak to a financial counsellor and sorting out a plan to clear back your debt first. You might even be able to speak to the public trustee and have them administer your affairs. If you file for liquidation, you will be stuck with the doomed to failure reputation for a long time.
While you might have a few years of scrimping, if you sort out a plan to repay debt it will clutch a lot smaller number time than you think. I be on the verge of ruin in January 2001 and by the pause of 2003, I had settled adjectives my debts. Since then I own been competent to renovate my unit.
First you enjoy to ask yourselves how large are interest payments compared to your income. If you find that here is no way that even reducing your expenses at the bearable minimum you would know how to pay those charges consequently the option is clear, but first you should reach a deal with your creditors surrounded by order to attain lower rates under a expense schedule. They would prefer this instead of you file bankruptcy. Try to trade assets, even a couple of hundreds could help you contained by reducing your debt. Bankruptcy should be the last resort. I enjoy to agree with those who recommend against ruin. Maybe you're somewhat overwhelmed about adjectives the debt and the issue with your jeep, but beside some financial counseling (get referrals) and the suggestions of others who've responded, you can make the change needed to get through this rough time. Bankruptcy is not the answer, it will den you for a long time in unanticipated ways.
Best regards!
Don't do it!! I go through a similar situation myself, but I was 33,000 within credit card debt. It is not worth it. Bankruptcy is different now and you still hold to pay adjectives that money back. Besides, it wont obtain you anywhere with a secured loan resembling a vehicle. Have you called the dune that lent you the money for the Jeep? 4500 is not much compared to what a bankruptcy does for you. Actually the myths just about not being competent to get a house after liquidation are untrue. We talked to CP Morgan six months after ours be discharged and they were ready to work with us to build a house. We also not long got a current vehicle through a company that works with inhabitants who have fruitless credit or have file bankruptcy. Once we retribution off our short vehicle loan, the same company will help out us get financing for a house. We file Chapter 7 and the only piece I had to do be send surrounded by copies of the paperwork to the three major credit agencies so they could thieve everything off of our credit. If you seize someone to do it right, then I would say aloud yes. We filed on 65k worth of bills though because everything my hubby owned have his ex wife's name on it and nobody would refinance. As far as the vehicle goes, we file on three of them. They repoed them, sold them, and we filed on the difference. Only problem I'm have right now is getting one of the bank to put the car loan as skint. They say because it be a joint loan, until his ex files it go against us. My lawyer said that's agains the ruling. So we'll see what happens.
There is an awfull lot of impossible and uneducated information within the previous answers...too many to dance through here at the bottom! :)
First, We don't have satisfactory information to give any dutiful advice but. How much money do you make? Do you own a home? How much equity? Other reserves?
Your first step is to read the link below. It describes the current ruin laws. They not long changed and now several people who want to folder for chapter 7 can no longer do so. If you are working and have income, you will be forced into Chapter 13, which requires you to income a portion of the debt back, base on your income and other factors.
If you don't currently own a home, and you own low income, I would recommend looking at Chapter 7 (based on the situation you just described). But if you breed a decent amount of money you probably will not qualify.
Read the correlation below. If it still sounds like your just option, consult near a bankruptcy attorney.

2) Credit reporting wad. That is the time it takes for your creditors to update info to the credit bureaus. This can be anywhere from 30-90 days.

It depends. Credit bureaus draw from period notes dumps from participating companies. When your account is reported as "salaried in full near some recent lates" instead of "unpaid balance of $X n months late", later your score should run up.
So it may take a light of day, or up to a month; it depends on the timing of the data dump.
Unless you creditor notify the credit check agencies that your debt has be cleared your credit score will remain poor. MAKE SURE THEY DO THIS, as a event of course they wont.

I scholarly this the hard bearing as it took over 4 years to fix my credit score for a debt that be cleared years ago.
Dispute every charge off and refusal mark on your credit report. Equifax, Experian and the other one can simply keep the doomed to failure mark on it if the company that put it on in attendance proves the negative flaw belongs there. A lot of times they don't even attention to detail anymore if they've already gotten their money, and they'll ignore it - angelic news for you. But even if you still own bad grades that last 7 years, after 3 years of unblemished credit your score will skyrocket. I be at 490 a year ago and now I'm at 720.
