Credit Questions and Answers

I enjoy a serious Credit Card Question?

Question:
I have excellent credit but I missed paying one Credit Card by a few days and only because of this my interest rate went from 9% to 30% because of it.

I cannot afford the Credit Card Payment in a minute because it made it go to approaching $400 a month and I don't even get salaried that a week and I wouldn't want to have to wages that towards high interest anyhow.

I don't want to report for bankruptcy because of 1 card. If anyone can recommend an excellent credit card and the phone # for set off transfers at like 0% and any other guidance, I am open to reading adjectives responses. I can't sleep because of this.

Answers:
Awwwww. I hear you hon, credit card companies love to put you in their little defaut interest rate. Here is what my father and I do.

1. Call the credit card company. If you haven't be late past, they may be able to work next to you on this.
2. If they are not willing to work beside you, get a foremost attitude and threaten to close the account. See if they work beside you then.
3. Still won't work near you? Say "Fine." Hang up. Do an internet search on credit cards and see who's get the best offer. If your credit is as flawless as you say, you should enjoy no problem finding a 0% interest offer. Wait and see if you are approved. On your application, do the go together transfer piece.
4. Call your other card company, close the account. Tell them to run to hell.
5. Transfer your balance to your different credit card, and be very watchful to make the stipend on time every month. Credit card companies lure you contained by with that 0% interest rate, but surrounded by fine print they do warn you that if you are tardy, even once, they will hike your interest rate rear legs up.
6. Get some sleep. You are not alone in this. Everyone at one time or another is slowly and has have to have deal with the consequences. For the adjectives, make sure you know what the website address for your cards. Most enjoy a rush payment entry available. I know a lot of culture don't like to clear bills online, but I've never had a problem, adjectives of the websites are secure, and it can retrieve your butt.
I'm guessing that means you hold about $20,000 surrounded by credit card debt.

You have to give somebody a lift out a small loan from a local bank, and wages off that credit card.

Put up a collatoral and bring a loan for about 10%

Also, your company will extent back the rate after 2 majority payments.

Right now, you triggered the "evasion rate", and its very fruitless.
Look to another credit card source like a credit coalition or any other company. Sounds like it is a bofa or mbna card. BofA did this to everyone when they bought out MBNA. We refinanced through our credit alliance.. (transfer balance) and our payment dropped $175.00 a month...and you can in actuality see a difference in set off now.Good luck
1. Get on the phone and call for your credit card company. It is not unusual for them to have a policy of raise your interest rate if you are late on a settlement, but if you are a first time offender, they can usually cut the pain.

Next, procure to bankrate. Compare rates and policies. Look for specials.

Third, get to your wall. If the balance it not too soaring, and you have an depiction in dutiful standing, they may float you a loan to cover the balance. It will not be at 0% interest, but it will be a LOT lower after what you are paying on the credit card.

Best of luck
Have you tried contacting the credit card company by either phone or email? If this be your 1st time being deferred and you have a valid judgment, they may excuse it this time.
It appears that you have more than one card. Possibly you can come by cash from some of the other cards to settle off the big interest card. It is a poor solution, but better than paying 30 percent.

Your mistake is using credit cards to maintain long-term debts. That is not the purpose of credit cards, although bank that issue cards love people resembling you. Even 9 percent interest is high. The proper use of credit cards is to catch short-term credit for buying things that you can pay for. You return with a free loan for a month. Once you go overboard and buy more than you can repay off contained by a month, you become a victim of a loan assignment from which there is no escape.

Another alternative is to get a short occupancy bank loan and retribution off the high-ranking interest credit card. If you have a home and can achieve a home equity loan, borrow as much as you can to pay past its sell-by date all cards. Then use credit cards individual to the extent you can pay them stale each month while you are paying rotten your bank loan or home equity loan.

To solve your problem by getting however another credit card is total nonsense. If you cannot control your spending, getting more cards simply get you deeper into the hole.
You probably won't qualify for bankruptcy over that one credit card. It does nouns like you are living road beyond your means.

Time to rethink your spending customs. Cut out all the unnecessary stuff, obtain a second job and put adjectives the extra money toward that credit card. You'll probably have to recompense on time for a year until that time they consider lowering your interest rate.

You might transfer the go together to a new 0% card if you qualify. Of course you may not be capable of find one with a big plenty limit to verbs your whole set off to.
You can ask to change the due date. That wouldn't be a problem. What you said be right. You may want to talk to their collection department to product payment arrangement. Normally 3 months prompt to bring the account current. Perhaps you get a high stability and that's why they told you 10 months.

In the future, if you know you're going to be unsettled, call them straight rather than dispatch in a clearing 3 days after the due date. Besides paying late duty, you're paying a default rate. How copious times were you postponed ? My company allows twice in 12 billing cycle past they change the rate to a evasion rate.

How about verbs a balance to another company next to a lower interest rate ?. Go on line, most trunk credit card have on strip banking similar to Citibank or BOA. You can apply on line and procure a response in 5 minutes whether you're approved or denied. If you own excellent credit, you shouldn't be worried.

Don't do the balance verbs on line. Call the company, sometimes they waive the transaction allowance for balance transfer- not other but why not give it a shot. Get the one beside 3% or $75 max. Becareful with the one is minimum $10 that method there is no max. You can wage a bundle for transaction fee if you take a large set off.

Last but not least, past hit an apply button, read all of the vocabulary and conditions because not all credit cards are created equal.

I work for a dune. Take my advice, threatening doesn't work. Trust me. It one and only puts more flame into the fire. They have no condition to waive any fees. If you're nice to them, you can get alot out of them. Everyone runs into a adversity sometimes, major attitude doesn't work for credit card company. They usually have just about 80 millions or more customers. You can only verbs so many times because credit card company have record of any go together transfers. You won't be able to grasp a good rate if you maintain transfer around.

Remember you homily to the people who just work at the bank. It one and only takes smaller number than 30 second to close the account. When they hit that button, nearby is no turning back. I have customer with chief attitude and threatened to close the account. I closed it and she be stunt. She thought I wouldn't.
Gone are the days with 0% APR's on go together transfers. The feature be misused so much that credit card companies thought it best to revoke these offers. The drive could be the loss of revenue to credit card companies but this habit of transferring balance frequently and avoiding the debt repayment was increasing the volume of credit card debt. Balance verbs is a good practice if done next to caution and restraint. Here are 2 correct credit cards with low APR rates on set off transfers.

1. Advanta Life-of-Balance Platinum Card

This credit card issued by Advanta is very popular among the go together transfer community. The apology being that it offer a low 2.99% Fixed APR for LIFE on balances transferred inside 3 months. That is an offer which few credit card companies can game. With this excellent balance verbs rate the Advanta Life-of-Balance Platinum Card offers Up to 6% Cash Back or Travel Rewards. The credit card have No annual fee, and the reward program have no limits on proceeds. On the whole a right credit card to transfer the balance. I reported my credit card for fraud, and the wall put a derogatory sitting duck on my credit report. Is that correct?

Question:
I got a memo from a company their credit card database had be accessed improperly and that the credit card I used may be at risk for fraud. They recommended that I contact my bank to retract the card I used to purchase one of their products online. I called my wall immediately and have the card canceled and had another one issued. Now a month laster I'm looking at my credit report and near is a derogatory mark on my credit report from my ridge saying that the card be lost or stolen under 2 of the 3 credit reporting agency's. .
Is this correct? Do I carry penalized for reporting possible fraud to my credit card?

Answers:
Yes, the notation is correct...but it's not a black smudge against you...it just shows what happen with the status of the reason.

That is not factored into your score within any way.

That is the adjectives notation on credit reports, when a card is cancelled due to being lost/stolen.
I suggest putting the request within writing, asking the bank to remove what you believe to be a derragatory remark, or your concerned in the region of how it will looks. Or go to the equifax, trans confederation, and trw site and file an online dispute, where on earth they will investigate and the bank have 30 days to respond, or it will be dropped.
If you reported the card lost and stolen, why woud that be a derogatory mark on your credit report ?. Did they only report as the card was stolen or other remark?.

If you reported the card lost and stolen, what would you want it to be on credit report?

yeah if with the sole purpose the moms name be on it nothing would hold to be paid..but since its within his name also hes going to enjoy to pay it rotten
If it was simply in his mothers signature, it would be paid rotten with the money surrounded by her estate if there be an estate. Being it was within his name too, he would be responsible to remuneration it.
If the credit card is in your husband's moniker then he have to pay it. Period.
Yes-if its surrounded by both names he's still on the hook.

Settlement of a civil suitcase have to be writen surrounded by quality newspaper approaching contract?

Question:
Just afraid without a contract I don`t know there are more surprise coming. Please push for. Thank you all.

Answers:
Make sure that you hold everything in writing -
hold them sign the paper stating that they consider the settled amount as "rewarded in full"

If you are planning on making payments instead of paying a lump sum, hold it in writing (their signature) that they agree to the pocket money plan.
If you make a reward plan and "you" fail to hold up your train by making the agreed upon payment (the full amount of the recompense made at the specified time of the month) they have a court right to consider the agreement void.

Be sure that you are not locking yourself into a gift plan that you may not be able to hold on to. If the monthly payment amount is to glorious, request to pay a smaller amount.

Take a copy of the written agreement and hold the court clerk place it in your record.
Do Not trust them in doing that, do it yourself !
Placing contained by your court file will safeguard you should they violate the agreement

Also request that they delete anything they own placed on your credit reports upon payment.
Make the delete request on a seperate composition. I would not suggest filing that quality newspaper with the court clerk since it is essentially a private agreement between you and the creditor/collector.

bring back one or two cards. don't leave a be a foil for. meaning repay off the complete card every month. don't put more on your card than you could afford in bread every month. please don't get yourself into debt! you will be sooooo bullish and proud when you get elder and can get that house or vehicle you are dying for and have no credit card debt to weigh you down.

have open credit boosts your credit gain even if you pay your cards every month. don't ever retribution late!! or dance over budget.

if you follow these rules it doesn't matter which card you find because you won't have to incure interest charges or any fees of any gentle!!
ochard bank, chase, property one, and BofA
Check out "bankrate.com" to find the best interest rates and fees. Student cards have the best offer for those new to credit
Citibank is the best I've ever done business near.
Get a debit Visa or Mastercard - have adjectives the benefits of a credit card but you use your own money and dont end up getting yourself into trouble
Discover have some cards with 0% intro apr rates and also some reward programs similar to 5% cash pay for on certain purchase. These cards are also correct to make up credit.

One of those secured VISA's is good. You own to secure a vertain amount of money. Your credit is base on the amount of money you secure. So if you put surrounded by $750 then you'll enjoy a credit limit of $500. So the untouched money is 1.5 times that of your keep a tight rein on.

Why is that good? The monthly minimum is low and if you ever can't remuneration for months and hit hard times, they can wages it off next to the secured money with minimal mar to your credit.
I'd say none. I hold never had one, and I don't intend to ever own one. Invisible money is a discouraging thing, and it can draw you reflective down in the debt until that time you can blink.
There are banks that specialize contained by extending Visa and MasterCard credit cards to applicants who are just establishing a credit history. Pick a mound, and see how you do. Don't apply to more than one because credit applications show up on your credit report, and multiple rejections make you look desperate for credit.

If that application doesn't obtain you a credit card, there are two core approaches. The first is to start with department store credit cards and grease company credit cards and build a credit history using the cards. These cards are easier to obtain than Visa or MasterCard charge cards.

Establishing a expenditure history will help you qualify down the road for the primary credit cards. Apply to one, meaning any a department store or oil company, and see if you are approved. Wait a few months up to that time applying for another card.

A second approach is to get a secured credit card. With a secured card, you place a deposit beside the credit card company and they provide you with a credit card. The credit cut-off date is typically equal to the deposit.

Carrying a small balance on the department store cards or secured card isn't a discouraging idea because it shows that you can pedal an outstanding balance. I don't muse it makes as much sense to convey a balance on an grease company card because it conveys a message that you can't keep current on your gasoline purchases.

It's critical that you stay current on adjectives of your bills. Late payments, missed payments or other payment problems will loosen all your hard work to build a credit history to the point where you hold ready access to credit.
The best one is your bank's debit card. It works only just like a credit card minus putting you in debt.
Consider this. If you spend $500 change today, you owe nothing subsequent month. If you spend $500 credit today, you owe $600 next month (20% interest, which is typical of first credit cards for teenagers). That extra hundred dollars is frivolous into the pockets of bankers and you'll never see it again. Not to mention if you don't pay past its sell-by date the entire $600 you get hit beside interest again next month on what you didn't discharge. Assume you only pay packet the minimum balance of, say aloud, $50, next month you will owe $660! If you be to pay, speak, $150, That brings it to $540 the next month. At this point you've rewarded $150 and still owe more than you originally spent!
This is, or course, an extreme example to say the tiniest. But regardless of the interest rate you get, you still extremity up having to wage more than what was spent. It is essentially a due on impatience.
"You want it now? OK. That $250 iPod will cost you $300 if you income it all backbone next month."
Why wages the extra? That $50 could go to music on iTunes.

Prepaid credit card is a best option.
prepaid card score over credit cards especially if the owner has a not so impeccable credit history.

The rejection is non existent in crust of prepaid credit cards, there are no credit checks, no employment confirmation, and approval is guaranteed.

With a bit of dilligent shopping and comparision of various prepaid credit card offer, it is not difficult to find a prepaid card with no annual fees, no deferred payment fees, no repayments, and no penalty whatsoever. So, the ownership costs of a prepaid card can be negligible.

With prepaid cards it is deeply easy to promote financial discipline. Since you can lone spend what you have, in attendance is no overspending, and hence no debts.

Some prepaid cards do report their use to major credit bureaus and hence are a appropriate instrument to rebuild credit history.

Prepaid cards enjoy wide acceptablility, and within some cases they are even more readily accepted than credit cards. Apply online at: http://www.credit-card-gallery.com/prepa...

Answers:
Orchard edge, chase, capital one. or bofa
Go beside the company who offers you the lowest interest rate, and also no annual fees. My first credit card be a Visa, which is generally standard most places and offers purchase insurance.
for the most member, they are all matching. they promise you all this great stuff for using their card. which is adjectives bull. it's marketing stuff. smoke and mirrors. tricks.

I recommend not getting one.

if you must, pay the symmetry off every month. do not wages interest.

if you can't do that, you don't need the card.
Discover have some cards with 0% intro apr rates and also some reward programs similar to 5% cash pay for on purchases. You can also improve the credit ratings near this type of cards.

I hold a stupid deragatory credit piece on my credit report, how do i fix this?

Question:
Apparantly I never paid a hospital bill when I be like 18 and it is probable that i thought that my insurance or my mom was going to discharge, it is only $100.00 and it be like 5 years ago but how do I fix this and receive it off my report?

Answers:
Well, you can settle up it, but it will still show on your report only as compensated.

Or you can simply wait another 2 years and it will drop rotten on it's own.
Call the hospital and pay it. It will still appropriate some time to get bad your credit report.
u have to rate it
These derogatory points are really annoying, and sometimes not even correct. You might need to be uncompromising. Contact the credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) to tell them to remove it and explain why. Most of the credit reports show adjectives your credit history, good or fruitless, but you can correct any mistakes. They won't do it for you if you don't report it. If it's keeping your credit score down significantly, you could consider getting a legal representative to write a letter on your behalf. You may still own to pay the hospital payment.

My legal plan comes within handy on things like that, because it keep the legal costs really low on issues resembling that.
Did a collection agency send you a message, if so call them and ask what it can be settled for and present them $20.00 and see if they bite, if not ask what can it be settled for and clutch that price if you like it. They will dispatch you a letter showing the agreement, you brand copies and mail them a money decree or how ever you want to pay and ask for a confirmation letter that they recieved transfer of funds, and it should clear up soon if not you may call for to send proof of the certainty you paid to finish clearing it up. Most behind the times bills linger surrounded by accounts recieveable at companys and they like to clear them up when possible so they will settle for smaller number usually.
Frankly I would not do anything. Few if any lenders are going to pay much attention to a $100 hospital bill provided you other history is accurate. They figure it is a mistake or some dispute.

I get a bill of $640 for some advertising. I have send within corrections but they failed to product the corrections. I thought I had received appeal but not full value so I offered to settle for $500. They refuse so I refused to clear anything. After a lot of notice, that I just threw within the trash they turned it over to a collection agency.

That meant I be home free because a collection agency doesn't have standing to sue. They be not there so they cannot testify as to the facts and hearsay is not allowable.

Someone from the collection agency call and threatened to sue, when I told him I wasn't going to pay, but unsurprisingly I knew better. Later someone else call and said, "Don't you believe in paying your bills?"

I replied, "No, I'm only a deadbeat and I'm not going to pay but be aware of free to call anytime, I don't seize many phone call."

"Click" He hung up on me and that was the later I heard something like it.

Whatever is on my credit report didn't make any difference when I get a new sports car loan from the bank. Maybe it would enjoy at the new sports car dealership, but I refuse to seize their high interest loans anyway.
trademark sure the bill is paid,,, explain to them what have happened, and receive them to immediately report that it have been compensated to date,,,,,,,,,,,

Join parent's credit card, procure their credit mark?

Question:
i heard if i unify say my dad's credit card, i seize his credit score and his credit cut back. how exactly does this work and once i get his win and credit limit, that become my current score and i can build on that?

Answers:
This is how it works. When you interested a line of credit you gain what is called a trade queue on your credit report. You can have dutiful trade lines and bad trade lines. The credit bureaus look at the number of trades lines, payoff history, and balances and they afford you a score. If you income your bills on time and you don't hold high balance you will have a better gain than someone who maxes out their credit cards and pays late adjectives the time.

If you dad adds you as an authorized signer on his credit card, you will go and get a trade line on your credit report. You will not bring back his score because he probably have many trade lines that cause up his score and you will individual have one. There is a benefit to him doing this for you though. It will support you to establish credit. Sometimes if you don't have any credit bank won't give you loans or you won't know how to get a credit card, etc. This is a righteous way to endow with your credit a boost.
No. You don't get his credit chalk up. When you're father put your name as an further carrier, he's accepting the rights of your purchases. The with the sole purpose thing you could do is despoil his credit. It also goes down contained by your credit history and when you and your dad continue to formulate good payments, your credit will budge up. But no, you don't automaticallly take his credit mark.
Here's an example. My credit sucked awhile ago. My wife's credit is great. When we bought a house and car, we used her credit as the primary and mine as the lower. What that means is that they use her credit evaluation to base the purchase and use my income as secondary for the criteria of the loan.
Through time (5 years to be exact), my credit built back up to a standard score and I be able to buy a vehicle this year next to using my own credit and not my wife's.
Rules are changing. Authorized users don't inherit the righteous credit history.
"There is a benefit to him doing this for you though. It will help you to establish credit. Sometimes if you don't own any credit banks won't offer you loans or you won't be able to achieve a credit card, etc. This is a good approach to give your credit a boost. "

As of September (I believe it is) this will no longer be allowed.
First of adjectives you do not get his rack up. You will have your own ranking based on your credit and the extramural trade line.

If he add you as a authorized user he is wasting his time because in September FICO is varying the way credit score are calculated so authorized users no longer get new points.

If he adds you as a cohesive signer or Co-signer then his article pay history will show on your credit and back your score if it's worthy and he has a long history.

Will it hurt my credit to exceed my credit control?

Question:
I have no credit but be issued a credit card through my work (I'm a cashier at a department store) surrounded by order to receive my 20% discount on the merchandise I buy. My credit hold back is $100 and I went over by $3.94 this month. Will this hurt my credit and will at hand be a fee? Also how long do I enjoy to wait to request that my credit target be increased? $100 is such a small amount and with the paychecks I earn, I can surely afford to spend more than that.

Answers:
The credit card jargon vary but most will charge an overlimit payment ($29 to $39). Pay the account down formerly you get the statement or due date won't minister to.

Going over your limit won't be reported to the credit bureau so isn't what hurts your mark. The ratio of debt to available credit is a big part of your credit mark. Anything over 50% debt, kills your ranking. With a $100 limit, it won't bring much to go over.

The best road to increase that credit limit is to reimburse the account contained by full and on time every month. Be sure not to budge over you limit again. It might filch 6 months to a year before they increase your check.
Pay down the balance when you bring back paid prior to the due date. Overlimit with the sole purpose matters if the be a foil for shows up post the billing date.
try making a payment up to that time it's due...maybe that will support you avoid overage charges and keep it from showing on your credit. i would skulk a few months and then request a credit increase.that means of access they can see you have a apposite payment history and are a upright customer.
pay a part of a set of it off and if you are lucky your return will go surrounded by before the charge go in.
most stores charge you contained by 2-3 days or later. if you remuneration it online or via wire/draft, the money should go to ur card company asap.

perchance you can just phone them and explain them and they will increase your limit.
aslong have u pay past the due date, u should be fine
Please let me steep you in on some credit card company little-known facts if I may. Paying past its sell-by date a bill in one shot(good for you by the way) let the company know that they aren't going to get money from you gratefulness to the interest rates they charge you for on those minimum payments. Which in turn medium they may just drop you from their credit accounts(yes, they CAN do that properly too!). As for going over the limit, they will charge you for it IF it happen often, although they may not this time as this is your first credit card(but don't count on that though.). As to hurting your credit, it shouldn't hurt it so long as the bill is remunerated off surrounded by a timely manner. As for asking for a credit shorten increase, let me ask you this: ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!?!?!?!?!? Please do yourself AND your credit a favor: #1 Pay the bill stale in three monthly payments. #2 Save your money and carry a ATM/Debit card through your bank/credit union. #3 Learn to budget your money logically so you can buy a good house contained by a few years. Believe me, you won't regret THAT choice.
Any credit card that is over 50% of the available credit splash should be paid down to underneath half of your total credit chain. Your credit score is lowered when your available symmetry is over 50% of your total credit line.
1. Use the credit card simply when absolutely essential. Pay your regular expenses by brass or a debit card. This will help you budget and not stir overboard with credit card debt.

2. Follow repayment schedule like religion. Don't miss out and invite deferred payment fees, increased APR rates and blocked reward programs.

3. Don't stick to the monthly minimum pay-out. Pay the maximum you can afford and get that outstanding debt cleared as rapid as possible. By just paying the monthly minimum the credit card companies reap the maximum rewards while, as a consumer you compensate the maximum interest.

4. Get rid of multiple credit cards. Although this might sound difficult, but if you are struggling to repay in good time and, juggling beside the repayment dates is cause you to default- it's time to think. If in attendance is a genuine necessitate to keep multiple credit cards, afterwards try to automate their monthly payments. This will ensure that you don't default unwillingly and facade the negative consequences. Read more from: http://www.credit-card-gallery.com/artic...

bank closes earlier I get bad work...

Answers:
If your deposit was "pending", it be not posted to your account. You should not own initiated the payment until the deposit be actually posted to your rationalization.

Your negative go together is undoubtedly due to a bounced check fee.
they own what they call satelite branches iot may look approaching a main branch but its not you enjoy to deposit money at a main branch to enjoy it post right away. Its 2 to 3 business days saturday and sunday do not count to them. So look them up and find out which ones are main branches and singular make deposits nearby. It sucks good Luck
Sorry, not adequate info! Savings? Checking? Debit card? Credit card? Check? Exact sequence of events?
how did the $-16.64 appear. if your deposit of $140 did not go through, but the salary went it, consequently your balance should be $-116.00. if your deposit did travel through, then it should be $24.00. anyways, you requirement to go within person to any of the branch and converse to the representative. they may even call the supervisor if needed. you cannot go and get all this resolved on phone. you can turn on saturday before the middle of the day as they close earlier.
Your deposits don't show up as cleared for 1-3 business days depending on amount and the wall itself. Seems to me you're being irresponsible near your money and are attempting to blame someone else. Tsk, tsk.

Next time, be more careful beside your payments. You have zilch to complain to Wells Fargo about.

Can I be sued for credit card debt, if I am making settlement payments?

Question:
I was told by a collection agency directive firm, that even if I am making payments on an agreed settlement, that they will still seek a judgement on me, and that I don't hold to even show up to court or anything. Can they do this if I am making payments?

Answers:
Can they sue you, yes. Will they sue you, probably not. If you have an agreement that they own approved and are paying as agreed they won't. Mainly because if it went to court the believe to be would throw it out. Now, if you fail to build the payments as agreed they then will turn around and sue you.

If you hold a law firm calling you, you have need of to immediately dispatch them a "Cease and Desist" letter. In the communiqu¨¦ state that you already have a settlement agreement near the company and are making payments as agreed. Include that they are to not contact you again in quotation to the debt. Send this by Certified mail next to a return receipt. If they do contact you again, you can afterwards take them to court for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act(FDCPA)

If for some reason they did sue you, it would be to put it bluntly stupid of you to NOT show up within court. If you don't show up they can pretty much say anything they want and you are not in that to defend yourself. They will afterwards get a shrewdness in defaulting.
They can sue, but the judge will probably not pass them a judgement if you're paying as agreed. You DO need to show contained by court, though.Remember, most of those "collectors" are BS artists who frequently bluff-and this guy is full of it.
Can they? Yes they can, although it would be harder for them to get a judgement if you are making payments.

You don't hold to show up, but if you don't, the judge will be forced to award judgement for them and against you. it is other much better for you to show up at a legal audible range to defend your rights.
If you enjoy a written agreement signed by both parties and you are adhere to it completely then you could bring it to court and modify the verdict. If you do not show up at court they will automatically authority against you so it is in your interest to progress.
I work for a collection agency and I an tell you that if you are making payments on an agreed upon SETTLEMENT you should not own a law firm contacting you. Now if you are not contained by a settlement mode, and are just makng payments. Or if you own missed even one payment or be late even once, after all bets are past its sell-by date. I would try to contact the people who sent you to collections first.
Maybe..but not shouwing up contained by court puts you in evasion and you automatically lose...if you are making an agreed payment plan and they do sue you..better show up.
Show up to court...along near all of your receipts.

The simply way that they can carry a judgement against you, is if they worked out a payment plan next to you and you have default on the payment plan.

However, if you are paying as agreed, and can prove that, a referee will dismiss their case. They would in actuality have to recline to the court in command to even file it, b/c they would enjoy to say that they are not unloading anything from you to even get a judgement.

Call them hindmost, and be very clear that if they sue you, what your address is, because you fully intend to show up...receipts within hand.
Yes, they can sue you. They are simply holding back the judgement since you are making pocket money. That's the reason why collection agencies will constraint a minimum amount that you need to earnings if you are paying by instalment, If the amount is too small and not acceptable by the ridge, they may not hold back the judgement.

It's a honourable idea to reimburse it off and put it away but the unfold line of credit add to your 'available credit' which is what is calculated in your credit rating.

No!
Getting and keeping too many cards will hurt your win.
Canceling one is good and might help out your score.
I must respectfully disagree beside Douglas' answer. Your credit won't be hurt by keeping it open, and contained by your case it will manifestly help.
close your store cards..they re horrible and enjoy very liitle credit constraint...stick with the visa/mc/discover/etc...what you involve to imporove your score is a dignified credit limit and low debt...store cards do neither

I tend to stay away from store cards because of the outrageous interest rates. BUT, since you own limited credit, lately pay it past its sell-by date and use it sporadically and pay it rotten. It will not cost you anything to do that and will build up a good pocket money history and higher credit score. Closing it at this point wouldn't make a central dent in your gain since it has be opened a moment, but why make a dent at adjectives if you don't have to?
