How do I find items removed from my credit report if they are more than seven years mature?

Question:

Answers:
According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the 7 year reporting period is no myth, it's a certainty!
And reselling the account to another collection agency does not restart the 7 yr. reporting length; that's illegal!
If your accounts are more than 7 years dated, just dispute it near each credit bureau; you can do this online for free. Just tolerate them know the reporting period have expired.
The bureaus will investigate and make any corrections, if needed. They should also convey you an updated report in the messages.
You need to read up on the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
I don't judge so. Mine goes rear thirty five years. You can report inaccurate reports, but these are true, correct?
You can gag your report online with equifax, transunion and experian. Go to their website and report the mis-information.
You obligation to get one of those long soft white erasors. They come surrounded by a little plastic point that looks kind of approaching a pen, and you can move the erasor in and out. Those reddish/orange erasors they put on the rear of pencils won't work. They just smudge. Get one of those soft white erasors, and it should do the trick.
I dont know but if u find out please tolerate me know I need to do indistinguishable thing for mine I know this doesnt assistance u but Ireally need to do something more or less mine and i didnt know you could do that
Until the debt is settled it will haunt you because they will hold on to reporting it until you do...it is urban ledgend that it falls off after 7 years and next you no longer owe it...it just keep getting assigned to different collections until you pay it. Your best bet is to settle the debt, but in the past you do I found this great website that gives accurate information about settling debts and negotiate with your creditors!

Good Luck
You can lone ask to have them removed if within has be a time period of seven years from the end activity, and NOT from when the debt be incurred. You're not clear what you mean by 'more than seven years old'.

If a creditor sell your debt to a collection agency, your seven year love affair starts ALL over again.
After 7 years all items simply fall bad your credit report, you don't have to do anything.
I have a friend with an one and the same situation. She had tried to find them removed unsuccessfully then I found a site beside credit attorneys who did the job for her LEGALLY. It's worth a try: run to
http://www.1-800BadCredit.com and check what they say more or less credit. It worked for us - good luck!
The credit repair page is
http://www.1-800badcredit.com/bad-credit...
I need I had a dollar for every time I've answered this ask.and two dollars for every wrong answer on this question! I would be rich.

Come on, SCH! I know you enjoy seem my answer to this, and you still own the guts to say "it's merely a myth"??!!??

OK, once again...lets adjectives open our books to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (see below).where on earth it clearly says cynical items must be removed from your credit report after 7 years, beginning from the date of the delinquency. Failure to do so, or intentionally reporting the incorrect date, will result in a civil damages of $1000 (very smooth to get through small claims court).

The trick is that you MUST know how the imperative works and you MUST follow a procedure involving writing some dispute letters, and demands for validation. If you do everything correctly, and the item is not removed from your report, you can confidently file a lawsuit and collect $1000.

See the links below.
Through credit repair. I have a similar situation and took care of it myself next to a credit repair kit I scholarly of here on RunEye.com. I got it at www.creditrepair101site.com
It be less than $20 and help to get my credit squared away.
The Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act mandate that any debt can be removed upon request of the consumer after seven years of total inactivity, whether worthy or bad credit. The reality that a debt, (bad), is sold to a collection agency and then to another and so on does not extend the seven years. In reality, in my State, if the creditor fail to sue you on the debt within four years adjectives ability to collect the debt go away. In this case it will still remain on your report for a total of seven years and longer, but upon you requesting that it be delete, due to the fact that the statue of limitations have expired, per the State or Federal Law, the item must be removed from your report. Predatory collection agents can get into greatly of trouble if they report a debt after it has existed ancient the legal restrictions of collection, and all you enjoy to do is write them a notice and distribute a copy of it to the appropriate Federal and State Agencies. Also, send a copy of these packages to the appropriate credit reporting agencies. You can also request that they delete any old accounts, even if they are positive, as they should not be used when scoring your credit ranking.

They will come rotten your credit report after 7 years, but after 6 you dont have to remuneration them. you legally don't owe the money. After seven years they should disappear from your credit report. If not get contained by touch with the credit reporting service and ask them to remove the listings.
If you gross a payment they will re appear on your credit report. No instead dispute them, or better even so ignore them. They are the collection agencies trying to net some money

cashing it = getting the cash surrounded by your hand for it
depositing it = putting it into your checking or nest egg account
Cashing the check resources you will walk into the ridge and get currency for your check. Depositing into the checking account finances you will walk into the ridge and put all the money into your checking description. You could do a variation of the two where on earth you walk within and deposit some into your account and filch some cash. Or you could direct deposit and own all the money put into your statement.

Should I pay envelope the glum things rotten that are on my credit report?

Question:
I was told that the unenthusiastic items that are on my credit report will remain there for up to 7 years to some extent or not I pay them rotten. So does it make sense to clear the items off, will it tilt my score if i do?

Answers:
Once again, another collection of unforgivable answers, especially from rlloydevans and SCH.

First, lets look at the facts.

1) By directive, negative items must be delete from your credit report after 7 years, beginning from the date of the delinquency. If they reage it (as SCH claims) you can glibly sue them for $1000 for violation of the FCRA.

2) When you reward off an frail debt, it does NOT increase your score. The object is because the negative information is still mortal posted to your account. While they may show "paid" or "settled", it will still show information around late payments, charge off's and collections.

3) The ONLY mode negative information can be removed is by have the creditor do it himself, or if the creditor fails to respond to a dispute investigation from the credit bureau.

4) Negative items are not given as much stress on your report after 4 years. The scoring system looks at the most recent activity items. If you rate off an prehistoric item (say 6 years old), that will turn it over into a recent activity item, and it will hold a very impossible effect on your score. While it will drop sour in a year, you live beside worse credit during that time.

OK, after you absorb adjectives of this info, what can you do to improve your credit?

Take adjectives of your negative items prioritize them.

1) Ignore any debts over 5 years old-fashioned and wait for them to drop stale your credit. Cross them off your account.

2) Dispute the rest and send a emergency to validate reminder. Some of your creditors will not respond, and those debts will be deleted. Cross those past its sell-by date your list.

3) Contact the rest of the creditors and negotiate a settlement. But constraint that in exchange for paying the debt, they must agree IN WRITING to DELETE the cynical items from your report. This is know as "pay for delete" and it totally lawful. I have have many collection agents report to me it's not legal but they hold yet to show me any imperative, agreement or contract that says otherwise. I hold read the law, I enjoy read the service agreements with the credit bureaus...trust me it's not at hand.

If they refuse to do it, cross them past its sell-by date your list. Why on soil would you pay a debt and not enjoy it improve your credit?

This is the technique frequent of the credit repair companies use.pretty simple, huh?
Absolutely! You especially should pay bad the things that are small - I have see people lose an apartment or a store for have minor judgements on their credit reports.

Plus paying off those items would oblige improve your FICO win, which I suppose is why you are asking this question.

Since we're on the topic of FICO score, don't ever use more than half the credit target on any of your revolving debt (Credit cards or Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) it will hurt you.

If you are in debt switch on to pay bad the smallest of your debts first, then the subsequent smallest, this will help you money off profoundly of things quickly and you will surface as though you are making progress.
There is a difference between a negative mark for an item thjat was salaried off, and a cynical score for an item that be never paid rotten and was "charged off".

Having something that is to say a few month late is a mild denial to your account. Paying it put money on off, or bringing it up to date certainly turns a negative into a positive because it shows that you honor your commitments.

Just allowing it to verbs to stay on your account as a charge of only just means it get worse and worse.

Plus, the 7 years is only for the time of the current report. If the lender sends it to collection, later it doesn;t go away within 7 years, because the collection agency generates topical reports, and those reports last 7 years. afterwards maybe they procure tired of collecting from you, then they vend your deadbeat account to another company, and they spend time collecting against you, and their reports ultimate another 7 years.

That is the important article, The individual report of bad credit stays on your report for 7 years, but credit reporting continues as for 7 years after adjectives credit collection attempts are finished.

Ignore it, and the reporting goes on and on.

Pay it past its sell-by date, and those reports stop.
You will need to remuneration these off should you want to attain any further credit from lenders or another credit card. And yes your score will put on a pedestal if all debts are rewarded in a timely demeanour. Negative items are usually there because you enjoy defaulted on a pocket money. Financial institutions not only look at your repayment history but also adjectives your accumulated debts and determine your proficiency to pay it bad. If you have missed or be late beside any payments you will have a black blotch against you.
Yes. They are supposed to be removed once you have salaried the collection off, however if it will revise your credit score, I don't know. Check the date of respectively account that be posted for collection, if the time is nearing the end of the "7year" spell than let it jump intil the 7 years has concluded. Why pay it bad if it's already been close to 7 years?. Good luck next to what ever it is you do, sometimes it is a real headache in the butt to bring those accounts removed from your credit report, even if you did pay it sour. I applied for a Best Buy card to buy a computer and was denied because subsequent I found out I had 2 out standing medical bills on at hand. I had no model because I've never had a credit card and never check my credit report, I took it for granted it be good. When I realize they were close to man dropped, I ignored them. So I wait and when they were removed "after much arguing" and go to Circuit City applied the same process as I did at Best Buy and was approved for a credit splash of $8.000.00, "Ya I know" now I hold a out standing computer from Circuit City and excellent credit.
This is an urban ledgend that these items will fall past its sell-by date...the original creditor will basically reassign the debt after 7 years to a new creditor until you in actuality pay the debt. It is slightly common that populace don't pay merely assuming that after 7 years the no longer owe and it is just so untrue...your individual way to capture rid of the debt compleatly is to pay it contained by full or settle for a lower amount than what you owe. This site is a great resource for information on how to negotiate with debt collectors: http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/...
Okay. Here is the agency it works.
Negative items such as charge-offs and collections can only stay on your credit report for 7 years after the date of end delinquency. No matter how lots times it is sold, the date cannot be re-aged. They will fall of whether your foot them or not; but depending on your state's SOL, the creditors could keep trying to collect the debt even after it is no longer on your credit report.
Now, if you contracted to settle the accounts, your credit report should be updated to reflect that. It will speak, "Account settled for less than amount owed" or "Paid collection"...something to that effect. Sometimes, the collection agencies do not report that and it is up to us as consumers to follow up near the credit bureaus and make sure that it's man reported.
No, your score will NOT increase when you retribution your debts. If that was the defence, then everyone would purposely obtain accounts sent to collections and then "buy" their opening to perfect credit again. The simply two ways to increase your score are to 1) compensate your bills on time and 2) fall your debt ratio. Paying past due bills is not included surrounded by that list.
Yes, it unquestionably makes sense to salary off the items if you enjoy the money. As I said before, once you catch the debts paid, the credit bureaus will echo your efforts. If you are applying for other types of credit, that will be a thumbs-up for you if the lender can see you took responsibility and compensated what you owe.
I hope that helps. Good luck!
That depends. IF you achieve something in writing stating that they will delete the tradeline, I would vote yes. Otherwise, you are risking doing major defile to your credit by starting the credit reporting clock over again. For example, if you have something i.e. a five year old collection, it will drop bad in two years tops and it not really impacting your FICO that much in a minute. If you pay it rotten, it will show as a paid collection, but a collection nonetheless, and will stay on your credit report for up to seven more years. A newer compensated collection can damage your win much more than just letting it drop rotten. And if you settle for less than the ingenious debt, guess what, that still shows as a charge-off.

If dealing with a collection agency or JDB, they will promise you the sun, moon and stars to get hold of your money, not keep their fall of the bargain, and market your information to another collection agency/JDB.

You have HORRIBLE credit, you never have a credit card before, you nouns odd. You do not right to be heard it, but there have to be a situation here that has worn out your credit. Until this situation is solved, banks will not want to loan you money.

A solution would depend on the horrible problem you do not describe. That said, I would be in motion as if you never had credit. I would start a secure credit card, where on earth the credit is limited by how much you get deposited in the dune. Somebody in the mound may tell you surrounded by more detail. Then, buy a few things on credit, and pay punctually. Try to payment utilities using the credit card. Do not make a big loan on the other hand.

I doubt you can get the loan you want contained by the immediate adjectives. Banks have see before adjectives sorts of people who ponder their problems would be solved with loans, where on earth they are lying to themselves. However, the secure credit card would bring before the day you could clutch that loan.
if your credit is that bad stay away from a credit card.

Chase hill fraud communiqu¨¦...?

Question:
I got a reminder recently from Chase card services simply accusing me of frauduelent activity! This come as a complete shock and has worried me to death! The memorandum included the last four digits of a credit card number and stated that be the account used. I showed the notification to my daughter and it turns out this is her card. She is 19 and got contained by over her head w/ credit cards and other debt. But why is the credit card company blaming me? The singular thing I can ponder of is that she paid my cable bill near the credit card at one point after ordering a bunch of reimburse per view programs. We do not own the same concluding name, so I don`t know this looks suspicious? She hasn't made a pymt on the credit card ever and the account be opened 6-9 months ago. Am I liable because she compensated my bill w/ her card? I got the reminder yesterday, so of course I will christen first thing tomorrow morning, but I'm tense that they think i've done something unofficial. Should I just propose to pay rotten my daughters account?

Answers:
Her disputing the vindication probably prompted the investigation.

I would venture to read out she probably falsely put you as a cosigner on the card surrounded by order to draw from the card. Her paying your bill with it wouldn't mete out them to come after you.

But if you were a cosigner (even if you have no idea she have done so) they would come after you.

I would retain a lawyer and request a copy of the artistic application for the card, as well as any proof of your fraudulence
Is it possible that you cosigned the app for her? They should not enjoy your information unless it was somehow given to them contained by the form of the app..paying your bill with her card would not bring in you liable for her card....if you did cosign the app, then it is your card too and you are as liable as she is. In any suitcase, call the number on the notification to find out what's going on, but do not give out any personal information until you are indisputable it is Chase..maybe call upon their customer service number to verify the letter is for unadulterated.
calm down until you tell with them and explained everything.. and remember she is 19 and you did not cosign anything..
First, I would really take a clear understanding as to what your daughter did or didn't do when she open the account. It sounds close to she may have used you as a co signor and didn't recount you. The fact that she rewarded your bill with her card is another red feathery, especially since she has a different closing name and also because she have not paid on her report since opening it. I am surprised that the rationalization hadn't been suspended for non clearance after the second month, and it may have and she continued to use it. The simple point to do is to contact Chase and find out what they know and then explain the situation and money the card balance bad, but make sure that they haven't reported anything negatively on your credit diary. If they have, simply agree to pay the card past its sell-by date, based on them removing adjectives negatives from your report. Do this prior to donation, as you will have their fax or communication that they will do this. It won't help your daughter's credit report and she will in recent times have to live next to the negatives until they die from the statutory boundaries. I hope it was not a colossal amount of money and if so I would make sure she rewarded me back, if my step daughter; because she requirements to learn to be responsible. You want necessitate a lawyer if you obtain right on it and explain it to them. All they want is the money and to make sure it be not fraud, which it was not, except against you.

What is TLG-greatFNIt is on my credit card, and I don't kow what it is?

Question:

Answers:
I answered this same type of question, from another poster, a year or two ago, so I hope you don't mind the cut and paste --

The TLG is Trilegiant.
They affiliate themselves next to many different credit cards, store websites, etc.

The Greatfn is GreatFunOnline

Generally when a soul makes an proclaim online, TLG will have a pop up after an lay down is placed offering a free 30 trial for whatever company is human being promoted. They will then tender coupons, rebates, brass cards, etc. as an incentive for signing up.
Or, their offers are sent by post on their own or along with a credit card statement.

When a personage agrees to the 30 day trial present, to get the freebies, and next fails/forgets to cancel at the extremity of the 30 day trial, they will be charged the monthly levy.

If this is what happened beside you, you should contact them to cancel.
If that be the first time they charged you, you might fudge a bit and tell them that you have contacted them previously to cancel but plainly it wasn't canceled. Then ask them to refund the amount fund into your card.

Let's say aloud I enjoy doomed to failure credit & 10 credit cards, wouldn't it be adverse to hold a tradeline?

Question:
I think that have a tradeline doesn't do any good. Correct me if I'm wrong, let's say-so I have 10 CCs next to bad credit history, am I right within saying that have another credit card listed on my credit report is detrimental to my score? Isn't that wha ta tradeline is? Listing a credit card next to excellent history? I always thought that have a new credit card other brings your score down because a credit card is a revolving credit unlike mortgage or auto loans. So even beside a tradeline on my report, even with that tradeline have excellent history I believe it will be detrimental to my score instead of helping i up my ranking.

Answers:
Well, since you have 10 credit cards, you already hold 10 trade lines. Now while, adding a contemporary tradeline brings down your score, it will rise again once an so-so payment history have been established.
A tradeline is any form of credit issued to you. Closing a tradeline is ALWAYS detrimental to your credit win (at least contained by the short term).

It's a good perception to keep your number of total tradelines underneath control. BUT, never close a tradeline in honest standing with a long history. In the short-to-mid residence, it will devastate your credit scores.

FICO scores are derived by calculating credit behavior contained by five basic category, each carrying a different point of importance, or "bulk."

Payment history: Making up more than one-third of your credit score, your recompense history shows whether you pay your bills prompt, the number of past-due accounts (and how long they are overdue), any accounts referred for collections, any bankruptcies, and other payment-related behavior.

Amounts owed: Not lone do lenders want to know how much money you owe, they are also interested in the ratio between outstanding debt and available credit. In other words, the closer you are to "maxing out" an narrative, the more negative the impact on your credit win.

Length of credit history: A short credit history can work against you. It gives you no time to prove yourself!

New credit: How frequently and how lately have you applied for modern credit? Many "inquiries" on your account, especially in a 12-month period, can lower your credit mark.

Number of accounts and types of credit used: It's good to establish a cut-out of repaying your debts, but don't run the risk of "too much of a good entry." If you have various open credit accounts and/or credit from positive lenders (like finance companies), your gain may be reduced.
