Credit Questions and Answers

What is the subsequent step to nick when you try to settle a debt next to a collection agency and they do not respond?

I have a phone bill next to BellSouth of TN that is surrounded by collections with CBCS. The bill is from 2002 and showed up on my credit report within 2005. I sent CBCS a settlement letter offering 25% of what I owed. They did not respond so I sent another reminder offering the same a few months then. Again no response. I sent a third and final letter trying to settle and no response. I hunted their # down on the internet and call and they guy was terribly rude and said "No, were not gonna settle. CBCS does not settle!" Has any one else deal with these race? Any suggestions? I really want this taken care of and sour my credit report before subsequent year because I'm going to puchase a home.

Answers:
CBCS has purchased this debt. They own it. It will not assist to contact the telephone company. The justification they will not settle with you is because this is considered a utility bill. Collection companies, even though they could, will not adopt partial payments for old accounts. Occassionally, when the bill is remarkably, very hoary they will accept a poorer amount. Your's is not terribly ancient. You could contact a supervisor and offer a larger amount, but I doubt that they will adopt anything other than full transmittal or a payment plan. If you are purchasing a home subsequent year, you need to bring back this resolved quickly. It can run 12 months for your credit score to capture anywhere near regular after something like this. If your FICO chalk up is too low, you'll end up paying a sophisticated interest rate on your mortgage; that'll cost a heck of a lot more than an antiquated phone bill. The paid contained by full will need to season on your credit report to grasp this off your hindmost. Don't waste time disputing the debt if the narrative was surrounded by your name, regardless of the circumstances. If it be incorrect, it should have be disputed with the phone company put a bet on then, not in a minute with someone who could support less. Be sure to gain a paid within full receipt from CBCS. If they don't report it correctly, at smallest you'll have the reception to show the underwriter when it was salaried. They can manually underwrite your loan and adjust your FICO score appropriately, if needed, when the time comes. It is smart of you to give attention to about this very soon. Next year is not the time to deal beside this issue. Good luck, and happy house hunting.

Send adjectives three credit bureau's a letter indicating that you hold a discrepancy on your credit report and that you have tried on numerous times to settle the conflict. However, you received no response. Also distribute them copies of the letter you provided to the creditor. The creditors will investigate and contact the creditor on your behalf. If they don't obtain a response from the creditor, then they will remove it from your credit report.
Source(s):
www.equifax.com A creditor have the right to refuse to settle for smaller amount than the full amount due, you owe the money. Pay it. Paying the bill in full will not remove the derogatory history from your credit report. It will just reflect it as "paid contained by full". The derogatory report will continue to impact your credit win although, once it is paid contained by full, your score will increase respectively month that there are not bright delinquencies. If, for some reason, your defaulting was defensible (i.e. a roommate stiffed you on their portion of the bill) you should submit a "consumer letter" to be included as a part of your credit report so that prospective lenders will deduce the circumstances. In a borderline decision valise sometimes it can make a difference. Underwriters are individuals too and they understand that sometimes we find into situations through circumstances that may be beyond our control.

You might try asking CBCS to delete their report to the bureaus (all three of them!) in consideration of your pay-out in full. They may not, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Call them back and ask to speak to a supervisor. When that human being comes on the line create sure that you thank them in credit and that you really want to resolve this, they like that.Offer them 40% if they will not bear it then hold out to make payments but craft sure you get a reminder stating you are making payment.Remember most collection reps dream up they are a higher go form.Don't lose you cool.Good Luck

I am a loan officer Always contact the collection service toward the end of the month. They work on commission, at the shutting down of the month you are more likely to gain a better settlement becasue they want to reach their quotas. I hold a bill that was over 1300, they settled for 300. Not bleak, saved me money and its not on my credit.
As far as the company you referred to no I enjoy not dealt near them. Ask to speak to a supervisor then progress from there. You be right to try using letters, did you transport them certified? Sorry I am sure I did not help much witht his situation but possibly for a later time if this should arise again.

My friend worked collections for a million years and she told me the tricks!

If you owe the money, you should clear it in full. If your hope is to improve your credit, consequently you must work with the collection agency. If you reimburse less than the amount owed, the agency can and will bestow the account on your credit report showing a $200 untested balance, $0 current stability and "settled for less than the full amount" on the trade string. If you pay the commentary in full, the collection agency may still check out of the account on your credit report showing the $0 symmetry.

While you have a moral condition to pay the picture in full, if the agency is not of a mind to totally remove the account from your credit report, nearby isn't a whole lot to be gain by paying them.

Good luck!

Have you sent a debt validation letter to the collection agency?
If not, I would suggest that you do. Many relatives think that when they find a letter from a collection agency that the bill must be theirs, and the amount is the correct amount. That is not other true.

In many (if not all) states, a cellular phone bill falls under utilities for SOL, you necessitate to check your state statutes since you may be out of SOL or close to it.

If this is the first collection agency to handle the details, they have probably purchased it for around .50 cents on the dollar, and that may be why they are refuse your offer. If it is the second or third collection agency (or unwanted items debt buyer), they have probably salaried less.

I would suggest that you transport a debt validation, send it certified messages, return reciept. When you recieve the green card back, dispatch a dispute to the credit bureaus. It is a violation if the collection agency verify before sending you validation.

"If" they do properly authenticate the debt and you want to pay, you might try sending another recompense for delete (PFD) letter. If they are the first collection agency, try for 60% of the "orginal amount". Include surrounded by the PFD that you are requesting that they will delete from your reports after payment. That they will not verbs to collect. That they will not sell the debt or put on the market the remainder of the debt. (collection agency's have be know to sell a debt after wage if there is nil in writing)

If you find that you are out of SOL on the debt, after sending your first debt validation, it's in your rights to send them a SOL communication and tell them to pound sand.

http://creditboards.com To switch on with, do you in truth owe this debt? And where did you ever catch the impression that a creditor (especially a collection agency) would adopt such a low offer?

If you basic goal is to win this off your credit report, here is what you want to do:

Remember that just because you remunerated off a ancient due debt, it will still remain on your credit report, and still reflect poorly on your credit win. You need to any get the status changed to "paid as agreed" or delete completely from you report.

Once the creditor has your money, you will find it extremely difficult to take them to cooperate in cleaning up your report. The merely leverage you have over them is your money!

First, try to work directly near BellSouth and see if they will negotiate a settlement with you. Tell them that surrounded by exchange for paying off your debt, they must IN WRITING agree to remove adjectives negative information from your report.

If you hold to deal the the collection agent, do duplicate thing. If they report to you they can't do it, they are lying. I've helped relations do it all the time. It is allowed. They are just person jerks and similar to playing GOD over your life.

If they won't agree, after it's up to you if you want to trust them. Unless the bill is huge they most likely won't sue you, so the solitary damage is a discouraging credit history. The report will disappear in 7 years. but that's not going to facilitate you if you need this cleaned by subsequent year.

But don't offer singular 25% unless you can demonstrate that your finances are so bad you couldn't afford it. Most collectors will hang up up on you just out of principle. CBCS is a foremost pain contained by the ... well.. you know what...

You enjoy rights - know them - http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/031224fcra.pdf

Sure that's a lot of reading, but it could sustain you. Also, my suggestion since there are heaps ways of attacking this problem. Check out creditnet.com and creditboards.com. They have lots of obedient articles and a forum for discussion.

Your first step however though, before even offering to compensate is to have them confirm the debt by sending a debt validation letter. Never assume that this is your debt. Make them proove it is your debt. Check out the links above to draw from more info on what a DV letter is and some direction on where on earth to go near this.

Good Luck!

Is near any features of law or margins how much you can try to push a customer contained by a retail store into?

applying for a credit card?

Answers:
I worked in retail for years....
As fr as the sale associates pushing you to open a credit card statement......the sales associates are PUSHED to obtain you to open these accounts. They hold a goal respectively month as to how many credit applications they own to get chock-full out. making their "credit" goal is part of the pack of their annual review and has attitude on whether or not htey get raise. Sometimes extra incentives are paid to the hand for getting a customer to open one, we used to capture 2.00 (sometimes more) for every one that was chock-full out by a customer, whether or not it was approved.
If this annoys you , the best piece you can do is get the number for the store's corporate headquarters, (you can win that from the customer service dept in the sore) hail as and speak to the regional maganer for that area. Complaining to the store mediator won't do any good....they are pressured to unseal new accounts from the sophisticated ups in the company.

Other Answers:
not that i no of.

Yeah, as long as you are not creating a harassing situation or one that involves stalking. I.E. Following a potential customer and repeatedly offering/begging them to come into the store. I'm not sure what your getting at, but if a sales clerk pushed me too intricate I'd tell them what they could do beside themselves.

i worked at RadioShack and there's not a lawful limit, but if you're classic goal is to get rid of for commissions, you don't want to alienate your customer by shoving a credit card down their throat!

I am not sure there is, but within really is not that much high pressure on the issue. "Do you own a blah, blah, blah" credit card? No, I don't, and I don't want one. Now do you want my cash or not?", usually works.

Same item with the Supermarket customer tracking cards.Though I expect them to supply me the sale prices anyway. They almost other do (they have one to swipe at the register). If they don't I don't be in motion back.

I really do not see that one as a big issue. no but other be humble

I know that after 7 years delinquent accounts drop bad your credit. Can creditors still clear you money for these.

Answers:
hells no. in reality, call them and they must remove it as capably as anyone they may have sold the doomed to failure debt to.

check your state's 'statute of limitations' for these particular debts.

most of the time the collection agency sells your report to another agency and it remains active!
WOW. I am surprised at adjectives the INCORRECT information that is human being given to you from people that are acting similar to they know the answer.

If the creditor sues you and obtains a ruling against you, then you are obligated to take-home pay that amount for a) the rest of your life, or b) until it is rewarded off. The certainty that it drops off your credit report does not stamp out your obligation to reimburse.

However, if the creditor did not sue you (and usually, they won't, because there's no point in suing you if you don't own the money to pay, and that's what get you there surrounded by the first place), the creditor will usually "charge off" the debt after a certain length of time. The creditor takes a tariff write-off for the bad debt and assigns it to a collection agency who may try to collect it. You're ethically obligated to pay cheque it back since you made an agreement to do so, but it's not expected that anyone will make you try to pay cheque it.
Well, they CAN. If its a ligitimate debt, you owe it forever, and the creditor can take you to court and acquire a judgement against you, garnish your ridge account, etc. (I'm not a advocate and if you are seeking legal suggestion you should get the suggestion of an attorney).

Depending on the amount you owe them, the creditor may or may not come after you. Typically, balances of smaller quantity than $5,000 aren't worth the trouble. AND, if its been more than 7 years its really, really, really unlikey that they'll use this method. Your sketch has probably be sold several times to collection agencies. At this point, too, if you pay the bill, it will hurt your credit! ? When you repay a bill like this, its counted as brand new activity, and IT WILL GO BACK ON YOUR CREDIT REPORT!
I'm not sure of the exact ins and outs of how that works, but I did here something similar from a friend of mind who is a paralegal. He said that it is also adjectives for creditors to sell discouraging debts to collection agencies for pennies on the dollar, so it is not uncommon to obtain collection calls years subsequently on old debts. According to his information, sometimes even a speaking acknowledgment of an old debt is plenty to reset the 7 year clock and make it a valid debt again. If this is a debt you are any unable and/or unwilling to compensate, your best advice is to transmit any callers "I'm sorry, but specifically not a valid debt. Please stop calling." Legally, I don't think they are allowed to beckon you after that. Bear in mind, though, that law vary from state to state and country to country, so you may want to contact a professional (attorney, credit counselor) contained by your area to be sure. Good luck to you!!
Yes, They can generate you pay for delinquent accounts if you apply for a loan. You're credit history stays next to you for life. It shows everything that you apply for approaching, credit cards, small loans, car loans, ect.... So try to pay packet your debt off soon as possible.
Scott sure sounds similar to a collection agent, doesn't he?? He didn't ask about judgements Scott!

Bad debts are reported on your credit report for 7 years, launch on the day of the delinquency. NOT the concluding activity. NOT the charge bad date.

But this has nought to do with a creditors trial ability to collect. You have need of to look at the statute of limitations for your state. After this date, the creditor can no longer sue you, as you don't have any legalized obligation to pay packet. Note, however, that the creditor can still continue to try and collect. But unanimously this is restricted to nasty phone call and letters.

So to answer your grill, they can NOT make you compensate those debts, once the statute of limitations has run out.

But thieve note...if they sue you back the SOL runs out, and win a judgement, they can continue to collect for a fundamentally long time. Because of this, creditors will begin to step up collection buzz when the SOL is about to run out. In this casing, your only hope is to any try to dodge them and not get served beside a summons, or try to negotiate some type of payment plan. A judgement will progress on our credit report for 7 years.
It really depends on the statute of limitations in your state. If your state have a statute of limitations longer than 7 years, then yes. If the statute of limitations is smaller number than 7 years, they can still ask you to pay, but you can share them that the debt is outside the SOL and you aren't legally required to discharge. Of course if you are planning to apply for a mortgage, your mortgage company might ask you to pay an out-of-date debt before they will approve you for a mortgage.

If a creditor seek a judgment against you, you call for to go to court. They can hope a judgment after the SOL have run out, but then your defense is that the SOL have run out and you should automatically win, but if you don't go to court, after you can't win.

If the debt is sold to a collection agency, then explain to the collection agency that per RCRA rules they are only allowed to contact you surrounded by writing. You want anything to do with old-fashioned debts in writing and you want to try to negotiate for the adjectives impact on your credit report if you do agree to a payment diary. If the can remove the entry that is best. If not try to take paid as agreed. Whatever you do, do not agree to a donation schedule that you cannot switch.
it depends on the debtor. after 7 years no mtg lenders care give or take a few the debt as long as it a chargeoff
lmao Studly, sounds like you hit the fastener on the head within your first sentence.

To the OP, like some enjoy already said, it depends on your states SOL. If you have a long SOL surrounded by your state, they can legally try to product you pay after the accounts drop sour of you credit report.

If you are out of SOL on the accounts, yes they can continue to harrass you, yes they may try to sue. But suing on a time debarred debt violates your rights. And if you are out of SOL, you can construct them stop harrassing you.

Learn your rights, read the FTC, FCRA and the FDCPA (they are very long read - but worth the effort)

You can do this by negotiate a settlement and making the terms man that their entry will be erased from your credit once you satisfy that debt. Start next to the smaller ones and work your way to the larger ones. To dig up positive credit look into getting a secured loan or something like that. Also, buying a home or condo in itself can lend a hand your score. Buying full-size properties can improve your gain.

But there are no swift ways to improve your credit score. If there be, the credit bureaus would have figure it out by now, and would own corrected the problem.

How does the fed's control of the interest rate effect the cutback?

I have no impression how Bernanke raising interest rates affects the cutback. I do not understand what the chief fundamentals of why raising interest rates is "bad" and lowering them is "good" for the stock marketplace, and how it effects other sectors of the discount. When answering this question, assume I enjoy a legal schooling and an mechanical engineering point. Assume I know nearly every single secret our governing body keeps from us, including the players that profit, and can verify the truth as to any political rumor. Also assume I can determine the "majority's" strategy up to that time it is made public, or known by even the vastly most informed, and what people are at the rear the political "reform" and who will profit. Please provide examples for each regulated sector of the reduction i.e. education, robustness care, insurance, spirit, etc.

When the interest rate go up. People will consider if they want to borrow or not or how much they want to borrow, because you will be paying more a month that lower interest rates. Bank earnings is in part base on mortgages, if the rates be 4%, more people want to borrow 100,000 and payment 4% of that divide by how long you want to repay it with that 4% of interest. But if it is 8%, how copious people would want to buy the house, if they a bit buy it with 4% of interest that be a couple of months ago. So there your move about the demand will be smaller number if the rates is higher.
short answer... raise rates cools spending in lay down to control inflation... lowering rates jump-starts spending and, in the skin of stagnation, throws some inflation into the mix. the actual answer you're looking for is way too long for me...

I enjoy four charge sour Items on my credit 3 years mature & smaller quantity after $400 Will it abet or hurt my credit if I pay packet

3 years ago I hit a rough stretch and defaulted on a cell phone bill and a few doctors bills. I want to know if I rewarded these Items now, If it help or hurts my credit score. All four are timetabled as charge offs. My concern is that If I paid them in a minute, They would show for another seven years. Also is there a focal difference score knowledgeable between (charge off) and (Paid charge Off). I thank you fine folks in mortgage for helping me out.

Answers:
No, it will be better for you and your credit report if you pay them sour instead of allowing them to continue on as unpaid debts. Also, the pious thing around paying them off immediately is that they'll be willing to settle for a much smaller amount than what you in actual fact owe.

Other Answers:
A charge off will remain a charge rotten always. However, paying it stale, will help as far as getting credit contained by the future, as various will not extend credit for major purchases, home mortgages, etc, lacking these debts being taken thinking of, pay them rotten.
no if you let it dance they will show as if you dont care.
you can do two things.
first wage off the full amount and take a letter stating salaried in full, convey that to the credit agencies and they will remove the negetive info.
As well you can pay envelope the charge to the company for them to remove the item all together, by the company i penny-pinching is the cell phone company and other bills you might have. Sometimes they will do this if you settle up there excise that they paid to own to tell the credit agencies to open with bring that is not free to a company.
the second is similar to the first point.
You can brand a settlement offer to the company and they will adopt it because they buy these contracts at cents of the dollar from the original lender.
so if the bill is 400$ i would voice offer 250$ to pay envelope off contained by full. They will either right to be heard yes/or no.
from there they might say aloud to pay $300 and they will ring up the bill quits for you.
You get a communiqu¨¦ once again of paid and convey that to the credit agencies and they will remove the point that it was not remunerated. but it will show settled this time on the credit report.
Either way these option are better than just not paying it.
Last if you enjoy any future problems near alot of bills your best bet is to get a consolodation company that you see on tv to rate one monthly low bill and they will make the payments for you.
You will not know how to use what ever credit that you have on the program at the time, but they will carry paid and that is to say and shows good on the credit reports.
Hope this adjectives helps.
if you obligation any more help beside this stuff, contact me via email on this system.
take precision
The answer depends on whether the charge offs are accurate or not and whether the creditor in reality charged off your debt. If the above exceptions apply to you, the creditor reports the debt as charged sour notwithstanding, and creditors who obtained your credit report while the charge-offs be being reported cause a denial of credit or an adverse credit rating, you can utilize the Fair Credit Reporting Act to have the charge-offs removed and potentially purchase compensatory and punitive damages. Immediately write a letter to the credit reporting agencies demanding they remove the charge-offs (if they are improper) and carbon copy the note to the creditor. If they do not remove the improper charge-offs and you sustain damages as a result thereof, you may want to consult a legal representative regarding that issue. Be aware of the FCRA's statute of limitations. Also, near are rules regarding the reporting of outstanding doctor bills, the vandalism of which you can use to persuade the CRAs and creditors to remove the charge-offs.

As to the credit gain difference between charge offs and paid charge offs, the CRAs keep hold of their credit scoring system very undercover so most could not answer that question. The credit scoring system should not be private for tons reasons which I will not procure into here.
If I'm not mistaken, once you pay an item rotten it will remain in your credit history for seven years but it will show remunerated in full. From what I construe, credit history is cleared off every seven years.
When you money off a debt, it is mostly reported to the CRA's as "paid", but it will also show it's been surrounded by default or collections. Therefore, it's still a denial report and it will hurt your credit score. Paying it past its sell-by date DOES NOT fix your credit score! Only completely removing the unenthusiastic information will do that.

What you need to do is negotiate a settlement near the creditor, but demand IN WRITING that if you recompense the bill, they must remove all cynical information from your report, or list it as "paid as agreed".

Remember, you are trying to fix your credit. It does you no accurate to pay the bill and still hold negative information within your report. What's the point?

About the reporting time...information on your credit report stays on for 7 years, starting on the day of the delinquency. NOT the time of last commotion or the date of the charge off. If you foot this bill, it does NOT extend the report for 7 years.

Doing so is called "re-aging" and is iffy. They can be sued easily surrounded by small claims court for $1000 if they do.
Pay it off...... the "Get out of debt" seminar on Fool.com will explain it better than I can, though:
http://www.fool.com/seminars/capitalone/index.htm?sid=0001&lid=000&
Here is what you do.
Go to the place where on earth the charge off is. Ask them if they will agree to remove it from your credit if you remuneration. They will usually say yes. Then earnings with check but obtain the agreement in writing first.
If they still don't remove it later send the agreement and tally and or cancelled check to credit bureaus.

Otherwise no it won't come off

10 points please.
Studly is right.

As for the medical, how you deal beside them depends on if insurance was supposed to rate, if you had no insurance etc.

I'm including a correlation to a site that you can find alot of great info on how to deal next to the debts you listed.

For your medical, I would suggest going into the medical forum on that site and read on how to deal beside them using HIPAA.

For the cell phone, if it is with a collection agency, you should dispatch them a debt validation letter and after they own properly validated, convey them a pay for delete reminder. If it is still with the inventive creditor (which I doubt after 3 years) you would send a debt validation letter and afterwards a PFD.

If you go to the site I scheduled, you can read about how to do that contained by the regular credit forum.
Source(s):
http://creditboards.com
First off - never directly settle up a creditor!

Always have them verify the debt first. You can rummage creditboards.com and creditnet.com for information on how to send a DV (debt validation) communication.

Paying them can hurt your score worse... start reading those forums on the links above to give support to repair your score. Lots of apposite info on them. I got my mark raised 100 points contained by about 6 months as powerfully as got adjectives my collections removed from my reports!

Good Luck.

Palm Harbor Mobil homes Financing Question?

My daughter is looking into buy a Palm Harbor double wide and nouns it through their finance company. Any one out here know anything about these nation? Her credit isn't perfect, so I'm not sure a guard wouldn't finance her. I'm only just worried about financing through the street trader.

Answers:
I can answer your question from 2 perspective:
1. I am currently a mortgage loan officer in North and South Carolina and extremely familiar near credit, real estate and the housing bazaar.

2. Not only did I used to work for Palm Harbor both within sales and setup, I also used to own a Palm Harbor Home.

Let me state this... as far as manufactured hoems walk, I truly believe Palm Harbor to be the best in construction and aspect. Most folks do not know they are in a doublewide.. they do a fantastic mission and they are tight!

However, I must caution your daughter.. not so much on Palm Harbor, but on the manufactured home surrounded by general. Although I one-sidedly believe they are great homes, the general public, the valid estate market and the lenders do not have an idea that that way.

The manufactured housing industry have taken some hard hits.

Lenders own pulled out nationwide from lend money on these homes due to the high foreclosure ratio. And contrary to someone else's response, lenders are not looking to get spinal column into that market. When you lose millions of dollars, you revise your lesson. So, once your daughter gets approved, no concern what the sales soul tells you, near may not be any better financing options available subsequently... she may not be able to refinance the loan subsequently. So she must accept that the payments she get are the best she may ever get on that home.

The definite estate market is flooded near foreclosed manufactured homes, so the market is not allowing the mobile homes to hold their effectiveness. Most home depreciate fast because the most recent comaparable properties available sold within foreclosure for 20-30% less than yours! This is not a learned INVESTMENT.

The general public see mobile homes still as "trailers." Although nowadays they typically build a more solid home than oodles home builders (I have be to the factories!), the public still see them as the old single yawning metal homes that just won't dance away even though they are falling down.

Chances are that if your daughter can buy a manufactured home, she can buy a solid site build single family residence. Have her check beside a local mortgage broker in the nouns that works with smaller number than perfect credit and first time home buyers. (Believe me, we brokers can abet here!) If in NC or SC, use my connect below.

Although she may not get as much room for the money, the long permanent status investment in a site built home will clear off. When she requests more room or needs to deal in and move in the adjectives, she will have a property she can provide and make money from, not a mobile home she requirements to pay her process out of or be stuck in.

Best of luck surrounded by your decisions.

Other Answers:
The manufactured home industry relies on specialized financing. Most bank won't finance manufactured homes if you own low scores. I've be told this by potential lenders.

The home itself is better built than many nifty growth neighborhoods. Legislature is slowly recognizing the significance of Manufactured homes and soon banks will follow suit.

The bottom column is what she can afford to pay respectively month Palm Harbor was ok by us years ago the %rate is controled by a point system bleak credit more points ect there be some placement rules like a park or your landscape but for a dealer they be ok

I want serious counsel ancestors! I have need of to receive my energy together!?

I am 19 yr. old womanly who turning 20 in a couple of weeks. I hold a really bad olden. I used to drink alot, smoked all the time spend my money rashly whatever it be I did it. When I was 18 I get a credit card that had a $200 hamper and I have nonetheless to pay it past its sell-by date... back afterwards I didn't care... pointless to say the principle and interest are sky soaring. Now that I'm trying clean up my energy and be responsible... I have two job while going to school full time...I stipulation help. I enjoy to move out cause I can't live next to mother any more, so I went beside a friend to get an apartment. It is excise credit housing... I have money to rate rent but I'm not sure if they will approve. What can I do clean up the financial mess that I hold made and make myself financially independent from my parents and financially stable and protected for the future? How do I verbs up credit by the time I'm 22? Do you think the housing ethnic group will reject me?

Answers:
Call the card company and beg if this is debt you created inwardly 7 years. No really if you can get irrate satisfactory about the fees, they will remove some or adjectives of them for the promise of paying off the go together. a tleast in my armour it worked for one card, which I DID pay past its sell-by date but they keep charging me fees on clearing s that weren't even late, the charge was more than the costs but o top it off I never get bills from them just kept paying it on-line through my wall beofre the due date.

I think it's completily precise to not send you bills when you're close to compensated off,and to claim a stipend arrived late within order to charge a duty cause you can't force them to get hold of your payment within their system but they cut off time.

If yo salary it off it's not going to relieve you within even a year to draw from housing. If it's been lots years I'd wait it out it's immoral after 7 years to continue reporting it and believe me they sold the debt to someone else a long time ago. Soem states enjoy less than 7 years so check the canon. Don't ever give them a transmittal if it's been that long because you than renew the debt and administer them a right to rereport it on your credit report and yu have surrounded by essence admitted to the debt amount surrounded by full and it will haunt you for a long time, some may even try to hold charging you fees on the balance even though your commentary isn't open!

I would voice for housing say look I have bad credit/ no credit but I do hold money enough to remuneration rent, if your bank statement looks honourable I'd bring that with you to show you own money in the sandbank. If you're really worried and have the money contribute to pay an extra month of rent surrounded by advance( I would avoid extra deposit cause you won't own access to that money until you moved out, thentoo it's all to alluring for the landlord to try outstandingly hard to find ways to hang on to most of that money for damages repairs paint jobs that they may not be entitled to).

Other Answers:
I dont know if you can do it surrounded by 2 years but make sure you other pay everything in good time is the best advice.Try to salary down high balance.

sounds approaching your problems branch off substance maltreat... get to AA or NA earlier you end up w/ nought Go online and register with one of those credit companiest that contest things on your credit report.

I don't know how much I can help. Keep your go before up. From this moment forward every positive thing that you do will come wager on to you. Karma is not just a river gorge in Tapanga.

First sour, with your credit card. Find out how much you owe. Get that money together, name them up and tell them you want to earnings off the go together. Then simply as to close the account and ask "do you delete?"

9 out of 10 will say-so yes if you agree to pay of the be a foil for right then and at hand. If they say yes, describe them you want a letter stating this emailed to you, or faxed back you pay, so you hold proof. Then once they give you your info, take-home pay them off. They will report to the creditors to bring it off your report, but spawn sure you get that serious newspaper before you recompense. Saying, "they said so on the phone" doesn't work. If you have that treatise, you have the proof they said it.

And also, someone above said Lexington canon. they will do the job, but if you single have 1 entry, you can take trouble of this yourself.

Also, if they reported you to a collection agency, you can contest that with your note from the original company and they enjoy to take their claim stale as well. That's why you requirement that letter.

Are you living in US? $200? if you enjoy realised yourself have spent too much, try to cut the Credit card. (force yourself not to spend too much over budget). Find a chore of course can relieve you. Do u study at the same time? You can do something resembling "tutor" to lower grade classmate, earn the tutor payment. Give up smoke, drink which are not essential expensive. if you really wanna clear all the debt, it is never too in arrears. and for the problem of housing, i can't suggest you. it is hard to estimate the outcome fm government. Good luck at 22 i be $60,000 in debt and hadn't worked within two years. don't worry going on for it...life is honest when You are messed up.

I don't know it sounds that you have bad credit or you sort you credit look bad. You be young and seriously I hold heard that it is really thorny to clean your credit. Everything that we do we enjoy to pay it of beside life, immediately you have to live beside your mother. Next time be more care full, but don't get the impression bad you hold learned your lesson I am pretty sure you are doing resourcefully know. Seriously it is nice that you have taken you go in a pious way. You are putting your natural life together, but it don't have to be foolproof the important entity is that you are trying and the effort and discouraging experiences you are suffering one day will be rewarded. Life can't be change contained by one day or months or even for abundant years, but if you continue trying sooner or later you will reach your objective. Try to pay anything that you enjoy on credit now, if you enjoy a high interest merely get another credit card that offer 0% for transferred balances, or procure a loan and paid adjectives those credit cards and then take-home pay your loan on time.

You are solely young and own lots of time to recoup losses, $200.00 is not deeply of money. Education is the key to a better adjectives, a good opening and stability. Self discipline is a positive factor in everything and if you didn't hold it you would not care. You already hold a great head start on enthusiasm..a caring, positive attitude!

The best place to start for you will be some sort of service that lets you take a free copy of your credit report. (There are several places online like freecreditreport.com that will permit you have one if you sign up for a 30 daylight trial for some BS service that you have to wages out the nose for if you forget to abolish it so DON'T FORGET!) Get your credit report and then bear it to your bank (or your mam's mound if you don't have one) and ask someone in attendance to help you look at it. Most bank, and especially credit unions, submit a free consultation to help customers read their credit report. This personage is the absolute BEST personality to ask how to start on the road to better credit. It doesn't enjoy to take years! It can add to by over 100 points (credit score) in in the region of a month with a few smart moves. One point to ask about at the dune is a secured credit card. It works like this: You put at lowest $250 in a "locked" story and the bank give you a bonafide credit card with a goal of the same dollar amount. You use the card freshly like a average credit card and it builds your credit, but with no risk for the sandbank.

Start there, and follow the other counsel the bank counseler give you, and you'll have OK credit within no time. You might not qualify for housing that requires a credit check, but keep looking for housing that doesn't require it. If you can't find any, ask at DSHS and they can give a hand you find some.

Good Luck! its only a 200$ credit card goal and you only have one fault. so its not that desperate as you think.
Call them up and formulate arrangements to make the pay in full. Make sure you collaborate about them sending you a notification of paid contained by full. Send that out to all the credit agencies and later they will place that it was salaried on your credit report.
From there only just apply for two or three cards at the mall and use them once singular when you have the money for the item. And afterwards buy it on the cards and pay them beforehand the bill even gets to you so that you dont spend the money ahead of time.
As far as the housing problem trust me one credit card near a $200 limit will not hurt your chance's. for two reason one you dont have valid credit established. And two you were young at heart and it was such a low credit put a ceiling on. They wont judge you on that. They might construe you dont have adiquit credit classification alot more credit. So just apply for adjectives them cards i said and DONT USE THEM until you can pay them bad in full. Then obtain rid of them if you are bad beside that stuff.
take aid
P.S. the person DUUH that posted is wrong its not 7 years anymore immediately they report for 10 years Im pretty sure of. I just read somewhere that they changed adjectives them years along with the Chapter 7 law and whom can file and length of years.
As well they can report adjectives the way till next and if you reopen the can of worms with them right until that time the cut of line they can verbs from there on to report again. But again this is not a big settlement Pay then down

but do not .. and I repeat DO NOT close your credit card... it will mess up your FICO score and you do not want that Visit the "get out of debt" clause of leading financial website "The Motley Fool", and it'll administer you all the serve you need.

US Version
http://www.fool.com/ccc/debt/debt.htm

UK Version
http://www.fool.co.uk/debt/articles/whyhere.htm The definite question is why can't you live beside mother anymore?

You don't have the credit to live away from home, right immediately.

You need to catch your life together BEFORE disappearing maminem's house!

Is she too controlling or is she still waiting for you to act your age and not your shoe size?

You call for to stay with maminem until at lowest 22 because, based on your previous engagements, you are no where close to grown.

You need at tiniest 24 months to prove to creditors and yourself that you can handle "rent" if you have problems with a $200 credit card at age 18.

Here is what you do
1) List your income
2) List your common recurring expenses (rent, utilitities, gas for saloon, food, entertainment, cell phone, auto insurance and the like).
3) Subtract expenses from your income.
4) If the number is negative --> stop --> remain at Mom's house until you find a living that makes Income - Expenses a positive #.
If the number is positive --> stick to the budget.
5) Pay your bills (keep them within a hanging report folder divided by creditor).
6) Pay your bills on time (write the due date on the front of respectively envelope and check your hanging directory on a periodic spring -- e.g. weekly).
7) Tell yourself "hell no" when you want to buy something that you really, really want, but really, really don't need. This is call self-control and growing up.
8)If you ever find that you can't repay a bill on time --> call upon creditor first and work out payment arrangement -- consent to me be clear on this --> would be a good opinion to call as soon as you realize that you can't wages the bill ==> do not wait until the bill is PAST DUE to arrive at this realization ==> that is what trifling folk do.

After 24 months of timely payments, apply for your apartment next to your friend(s) and thank your mama endlessly for the FREE RENT she give over age 18!

And lastly, you didn't get into this mess within one month's time and you ain't gonna rehabilitate your FICO score within one month either. Pipe dreams are for crack addict, not for folk who are serious about getting on the right track!

stir loan a small amount of money at the bank or credit association...
a secure loan, where on earth they technically lend you the money against assets that you already have at the ridge..
lets influence you have $500 dollars within the bank, stir borrow against it.. and pay it hindmost in payments.. similar to a car return (each month) do not pay it hindmost early.. that doesn't do you any polite when trying to build your credit

when you get that remunerated off , borrow a larger amount, say-so $1000.... after you build a trustworthy relationship with your backer it's all gravy from within

First and Foremost you hold to get a copy of your credit report and cause sure any and all reports are taken sour! If they are still on your report they may just voice 0.00 owed by the real amount owed, still adjectives on your report. It all wants to be exsponged. Without that you will never get any uncertainty to start anew or with a fresh, clear credit report.

Personal experience, two years out of discharge my credit score are mid 600 It takes a long time for collapse to "fall off" your record, but near in a event of 2 to 3 years after you've filed, you will switch on to be able to start establishing a better credit rating. When you're on the equifax website where on earth do you click to draw from your free credit report?

You can get your credit report at these places, but they formulate it so confusing:
www.annualcreditrepot.com
http://www.ftc.gov/credit/
www.equifax.com

Answers:
Actually the person above is incorrect. Legislation be passed last year to allow consumers to grasp access to their credit report for FREE through their sponsored website http://www.annualcreditreport.com . It's pretty self explanatory. On the homepage you will have to choose your state from the drop down menu. Once you do, it will ask some primary info from you in command to confirm your identity. But don't worry you won't own to input credit card info. Once you enter your info, it will give you the route of choosing any of the 3 credit bureau reports. You can obtain one from respectively credit bureau every year. Some people choose to bring them all at once to compare, or you can choose one at a time contained by order to spread them out over the year. Just choose Equifax if that's the one that you currently are looking for. It may ask you to verify some accounts from your database, to further verify your identity, and then you will be capable of access it instantly. Good luck!

Other Answers:
usually you can't get the free report online. You enjoy to call equifax and request one over the phone or surrounded by writing. You are allowed one free report per year and a free report anytime you were denied credit and the denial dispatch states that they used a credit reporting agency to determine the denial. Be careful of adjectives the free credit report companies that make you sign up for their credit monitoring service. They will say aloud its free for the first 30 days but they make it thorny to cancel contained by that time.
