co-signer--If I am a co-signer on a individuals loan and that entity deceases, am I still responsible to clear debt?

yup, your screwed
Yes you certainly are.
YUPPERS...I compensated off a 6800.00 loan due to mortal dumb and co-signing.
YES SIRRR
you may want to check with your lender. however, i do believe that near should be a section on the subject of death or sudden weakness that prohibits payments being made. You can other call and say-so that you would like a pay-off price which will be considerably lower than the principle harmonize.
That is why lenders sometimes ask for a co-signer; one more entity to collect from. You are every bit a responsible for the loan as the signer. Only thing you can do is reimburse the loan then sue the other signer for the money pay for.
I think the estate is still responsible for the debt but if they did not income, you would be responsible for the default.
Oh, yes. Definitely yes. That is why it is so central always nick co signing seriously
That is the definition of co-signing for a loan.
Yes, you are responsible.
You are responsible, but so is the dead person's estate.
yes,but not neccessarily click below for more relief

UNLESS YOU HAD DEATH INSURANCE ON IT THEN YES YOU ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE. BY YOU CO-SIGNING YOU AGREED TO THE TERMS OF THE LOAN. WHICH MEANS YOU MUST SATISFY THE DEBT
IF YOU COSIGN FOR SOME ONE AND THAT PERSON PASSES AWAY, WHATEVER MONEY IS IN THE ESTATE WILL BE USED TO PAY SECURED CREDITORS FIRST. IN THE CASE IF THERE IS NOT ENOUGH MONEY IN THE ESTATE TO PAY OFF A COSIGNED LOAN, THEN THE CO SIGNER DOES HAVE TO PAY.. I HAVE CO SIGNED FOR SEVERAL PEOPLE AND I REQUIRE LIFE INSURANCE ON THE LOAN , WITH THE BORROWER PAYING . YOU CAN GET THIS WHERE THE LOAN ORGINATED AT.. BUT IN MOST CASES IT IS CHEAPER TO JUST BUY A PLAN SOMEWHERE ELSE. ALWAYS PROTECT YOURSELF..

collapse discharge?
What is the best way to stir about replacing a sports car due to bankruptcy up to that time my discharge is up. I have already have my creditors hearing and the trustee signed bad on my car loan maxim the lien was reliable. Car dealerships don't seem to want to work beside me...any help?Answers:
First, the trustee be saying that the lien on your motor was perfect, which means the trustee wouldn't be selling your coup¨¦ in the liquidation. Next you need to opt if you want to keep the saloon you already have. Some question that can help you opt that are as follows:
How much do you owe on the car?
How much is the sports car worth?
Why do you need to replace the coup¨¦?
Will the creditor allow you to reaffirm? (Reaffirm is to allow you to continue to payment on the loan you had earlier the bankruptcy.)
Is redemption a possibility? (Redemption is the right you enjoy in a Chapter 7 collapse to buy the car for what it is in truth worth, not what is owed on it -- I've attached the site to one company that will actually lend a hand you finance a redemption or a replacement vehicle.)
If none of these option work for you and you simply want to surrender your car to the lender, consequently you will need to work beside any number of car dealerships and lenders that work beside people coming out of liquidation. My biggest beef with Stephen Snyder is he act like Ford Motor Credit is the single decent lender out in that. This simply isn't the case. Also, some own suggested that it is impossible to get financing while surrounded by your bankruptcy, this is not the shield. Many will wait until your discharge, but almost as frequent will finance you know that you enjoy attended your creditor's meeting.
Follow these simple rules and you won't step to wrong in your motor shopping experience:
1. Check out the real appeal of the car you are buying through Kelly Blue Book or NADA. You don't want to retribution more than mid-book for your vehicle.
2. Compare the interest rate to the value of the sports car. I knew one individual who purchased a $3500.00 motor for $7000.00 because the interest rate was 7%. A low interest rate does not penny-pinching a good deal.
3. Use Credit Unions, Banks or Major Auto Manufacturers Financing. I've see a lot of nouns with Toyota Motor Credit if the down gift is sufficient. Avoid secondary financing institutions, ie Americredit, Transouth, WFS, etc.
4. Get your financing first up to that time you go shopping. Know what you enjoy to spend and what you've qualified for, then it make it easier to insure that the value of the coup¨¦ matches what you are paying. To do this, address to the finance bureau first before you look at cars. Explain your situation and ask for specific expressions.
5. Get as much of a down payment as possible.
Good luck and sunny car shopping.

You'll find someone feeling like to work with you, but you may wage a higher interest rate on a loan. I grasp advertisements adjectives the time for repairing bad credit/bankruptcy. Keep an eye out for a well-mannered one. Creditors know that you can not file again for 7-10 years. Household mound and Orchard bank are 2 companies that work beside high risk folks. See if they can help you beside a car loan or a credit card. Good luck
Car dealerships don't want to work next to you because they can't find financing for you right away. The best way is to try and establish a working relationship next to a bank. Save some money for a down allowance and then try. It is really difficult to draw from financing for a car after a collapse because of the depreciation factor. You will definately need a ten to fifteen percent down giving.
I assume you filed chapter 7 bk? Your credit report until discharge is going to be bleak, that is one of the first reason you can't get financed. In assimilation, you have the BK file with the valise number on your credit report which means that until you are discharged if they flog you a car you could be in motion into court and add that hot car debt on the current file, and they will not touch you as a result. The only article you can do is to go to one of the Buy Here, Pay Here lots, where on earth you are not going to get a clad car, nor are you going to find a good deal.
Essentially, you are stuck for immediately. After your BK discharges, you may find a dealer that will put you on 2nd haphazard financing with a really glorious rate, but there won't be much you can do. You can collaborate to the trustee and bk court judge to see if you can remove some of your assets so that you can afford to seize the car repaired, at lowest for now. I hold seen that come up quite repeatedly, provided you bring in an officeholder estimate of the costs of the repairs. The BK courts will usually look at that and consider, no car, no work, variables and allow you an way out to repair the car next to moneys you have already submitted. Each travel case is different, and it doesn't hurt to ask.
Good luck
I filed Chapter 13, the lowest interest rate I could draw from when trying to buy a car be 18%.
That is really crazy interest, but it's the price we'll have to salary for having desperate credit.
I ended up getting a personal loan from a credit grouping at 9% and bought the car bread.
Try a credit union or you may enjoy to pay change, my Attorney told me that I will be paying cash for everything.
Pay brass for the car. Don't buy anything unless you can pay packet cash for it.
I WOULD SUGGEST READING THE BOOK BY STEPHEN SYNDER CALLED
"CREDIT AFTER BANKRUPCTY" THIS IS AN EXCELLENT BOOK ..
CAR PEOPLE ARE SOME OF THE HARDEST PEOPLE TO WORK WITH IN BANKRUPTCY.. DO NOT LET THEM PUSH YOU AROUND , THEY WILL WANT TO TREAT YOU LIKE GARABAGE ... IF THIS HAPPENS ..IT MAY BE HARD ,, BUT TELL TO STICK THE CAR WHERE THE SUN DOES NOT SHINE... ALL THEY WANT IS MONEY AND MORE MONEY... I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THIS, AND I DID MAKE SOME HARD DECISIONS.. BUT IT HAS BEEN 16 MONTHS SINCE MY DISCHARGE,, I NOW HAVE 3 NEW CREDIT CARDS WITH NO FEES. AND ALL UNSECURED. WITH A TOTAL CREDIT LINE OF $10,000.00
I BOUGHT A NEW CAR AFTER THE FIRST YEAR AT 7%INTEREST WITH $2000. OO DOWN PAYMENT.. I DID A LOT OF RESEARCH AND READING.. AND THE BOOK I MENTION AT THE BEGINNING WAS REASLLY A BIG HELP TO ME... I AM NOT CONNECTED WITH MR.SYNDER IN ANY WAY,, HE JUST HAPPEN TO WRITE A VERY GOOD BOOK, WITH SOME SOLID INFORMATION IN IT..
MAY GOD BLESS YOU
AND GOOD LUCK

CREDIT AFTER BANKRUPCTY
It will almost be impossible to nouns a car "in bankruptcy". Once your collapse has be discharged you will be able to nouns a car for little or no down depending on your credit win. I would start calling car dealer and asking for the finance officer and "interview" them asking if they finance empire with a collapse. Generally the big American car companies, Ford, GM, Chrysler are more understanding on their credit standards. You will pay a elevated interest rate but your goal is to return with 12 months of on time payments so that you can re-finance/trade within the car contained by 13-14 months and get "normal" rates. Don't verbs to apply until your discharge.
Also the poster who suggested Stephen Snyder's book is right. He is the expert on helping bankrupt society. His website is www.lifeafterbankruptcy.com. He conducts free seminars general and offers excellent information on how to recuperate from bankruptcy. I would attend one of his seminar if you can.
Once you get your discharge within will specific steps you will have to pilfer like the previous poster said to receive your credit rebuilt.

best opening to consolidate credit cards?
My credit used to be great now its not so pious for one reason-constantly borderline my limit. Whats the best opening to resolve this and bring my credit back to what it be?Answers:
Do not use your credit cards until the situation is under control. That's why most family recommend cutting them up because they don't enjoy what it takes to be capable of use the cards wisely. No one should perceive bad roughly speaking that though because that is by design of the card companies. Keeping your go together under 20% of the curb and making payments on time within a row will increase your score pretty against the clock. Also stay away from new credit because more credit make it easier to get into more problems. Just remember its borrowed money not free money.

dont use it, try to take-home pay cash
Don't use your credit cards and recompense them all stale. Pay them off respectively month after that.

I am a holder of a Greendot Financial Prepaid Credit Card. I usually use it to income bills online. I had a merchant clutch the card and decline it when there is more after sufficent balance on it. He run it through twice. I check my balance then that day and nearby were two authorazations on the card for like peas in a pod amount from that merchant. The merchant did not receive their money though.
I called the 800 number on my card(customer service) and they said it would be a $10.00 free for an authorization reversal. He said it take time to contact the merchant. I said if I get the merchant to fax over document maxim that they are not collecting the fees, then how long? He said it will be avalible by 5:00 PM. Never thought twice almost it.
I went on 2 days after that, still not back within my account. I call again and they said "Oh he lied to you because it takes 15 days no thing what." Unless you get the bag to pay $10.00 next it is 3 - 5 days. Well 3 -5 days later and still dont enjoy my money back. They hold also charged me over $25.00 in fees to gossip to them on the phone.
Also, if you have this card, ring up and ask to speak to a supervisor, you cant. I would like this to tip off anyone that if you get this card, they do not follow their own cardholder agreement. You will also acquire charged a boat load of fees. I am taking them to court immediately and will let you know how it turns out.

I ruminate you will eventually get your change loaded onto your card, however all these prepaid cards hold one thing surrounded by common, plentifully of fees and a lot more control than a conventional credit issuer would own over your charge privileges. I think that's a moment or two over the top considering it is your own money they're controlling.
Get a secured card from US Bank or another large national mound, or try some of the high risk card issuers out here who will open an actual credit information with a low hamper giving you a chance to prove yourself. You'll be much better sour.
Yes, I have used it. And duplicate day I have no problem. Maybe that day they did hold a system problem.
Why are you wasting your money on this?
Pre Paid debit cards are full of "junk" transaction fees(that's how they make their money)
Get yourself a checking picture with a Visa debit card. Banking is so competitive that I know in attendance are banks surrounded by your area that tender free or low cost checking accounts. That will be definitely cheaper than using Pre Paid debit cards.

Beware of credit card programs that offer reward points! Sometimes they enjoy higher interest rates or sophisticated annual fees. Check a consumer reportinging organisation in your country (e.g. consumer reports surrounded by the US or choice in Australia) for detailed comparisons. Just because they propose rewards doesn't mean they are better bargain.
The best I hold found (for a single adult) is CitiBanks Blue card. It gives 5% lolly back on groceries, gas, and prescriptions, and 1% on everything else. As the previous responder said, the caviat here is that you wages the complete balance every month, so you do not get hit by the fees. On this card, there is also a keep a tight rein on of recieving $300 max over a year.

I hold no credit how do i establish it?
Answers:
get a situation, then try and obtain a store credit card - like from target or walmart. if you purchase stuff on that and consequently pay it rotten on time, you'll establish fitting credit. but be careful in the region of just applying for tons of regular credit cards. respectively time you apply, if you get rejected, it can bring down your rating
Other Answers:
start out purchasing something on time. Rent-a-Center etc... lug it from there
try to receive something in your moniker and keep adjectives the payments up and on time, its a start.
Get a career, work there for a few months, after apply for a credit card. You'll get some cut-off date of maybe $500. Now you hold a credit record. Pay your be a foil for off ENTIRELY respectively month. Continue to build good credit slowly but surely.
hold you tried one of those credit cards that charge to get it
Apply for a credit card and payment it off contained by full every month.
Get a loan on your car and manufacture payment prompt every month.
If you have student loans, don't be past due on those payments.
It's a Catch 22 situation. To build credit you need a credit card. But you can't achieve most credit cards without have credit. I'd reccomend a Capital One card. It's easy to rob care of, and they start you out small so you can't go and get into any real trouble next to it.
- Open checking and savings accounts.
- Get a credit card and use it - however, even if you rate the balance every month, don't max it out. You'll return with the best credit score using something like 30% of your available credit.
- Pay your bills on time.
If you necessitate to get a loan and your credit isn't apt enough, see if you can obtain a parent or someone to cosign for it. Then you can still establish your good credit by making timely payments.
Go to the wall and get a credit card, but not only just any credit card. Get something called a "Secured credit card". With secured credit cards, a collateral deposit of a predetermined amount is needed in charge to secure the credit card. Generally, the financial guarantee deposit needs to be of equal or greater good point to the credit amount. You are almost guaranteed to get this type of card even short a job as long as you get the money for the security deposit. Many associates use this type of card to rebuild their credit history and it's angelic for beginners too. If you max out the card and can't pay it posterior, the worst that can happen is you lose the collateral deposit on the card.
Everybody has credit rating from birth... You can brand better credit rating by showing good hoard, pay bills prompt, how much money you make eg...
But you can catch black marks so uncomplicated... Be late on a bill, apply for to copious loans eg...

This is one of the most adjectives questions on this board.
How do I build/establish credit?
First stale you need to be erudite about how credit works within the U.S. Every credit decision a lender make is driven by FICO credit scores. You can progress to www.myfico.com and look in the Credit Education bit to learn how FICO credit score are determined. To build your credit you have to place positive credit items on your database that will report positively for 6-12 months minimum. If you want your credit to be in the Excellent category (FICO mark 720+) then your desire should be to have 3-6 revolving accounts(dept. store, gas cards, Visa. etc.) and 1-2 installment loans(car, mortgage) that are reporting positively.
I would start out near a Bank of America or Wells Fargo secured Visa card. Both banks hold great programs with low annual fees, low starting amounts ($300.00) and no second-hand goods fees. After 12 months of positive on time payments you will graduate to an unsecured status. Then you will probably be approved for other cards such as dept. store and gas cards.
