Does my credit history step if I must foreclose on a house that I co-own next to my soon to be ex-husband?
Question:
Answer:
I am confused. You are foreclosing ? Are you the lender ?
I will assume you are the debtor, and mean if your shared mortgage defaluts, and the house goes into foreclosure, will it effect you?
Like the others said, yes obviously it will effect you. You are resonsible for your accounts, regardless of any marital situation or even a divorce regulation. DO NOT assume the soon to be ex will pay on anything. For example if you hold a joint auto and he desires to keep it, it have to be paid sour or he has to refinance it below his own name. Otherwise it have to be sold, even if you are upside down.
Are you on the property deed, are you on the mortages. DO NOT assume anything. Call the county property bureau, call adjectives mortgage lenders, pull your free credit report at FTC.gov to check on adjectives accounts that you are listed on.
Immediately close any integrated accounts, checking, credit cards, etc. If you are out of the house get your baptize off adjectives utilities, or call to undo service.
If he can't make the payments see if you can appropriate over the house through some type of quit claim deed. You entail to speak with a divorce attorney right away.
I would suggest you avoid going over these things near relatives, co-workers, etc where you back up talking, speculating, re-hashing, and getting discouraging advice. Actually taking a reality based approach and getting communal accounts cleared up will be the best thing for adjectives parties. Good Luck
Yes if you carry foreclosed on your credit will be affected.
If your autograph is on it, it will affect you.
You bet it does!
You are responsible for the mortgage along with your spouse so it will negatively impact your credit as very well as his.
Declared bankrupsy-chp7 and cant capture credit, I hold a secured credit card. can anyone relieve?
Question:
Answer:
That's sort of what happens when you record for bankruptcy. Creditors aren't going to trust you to compensate your bills for a while because you've already proven that you don't.
I'd stick with that secured card that you get for a while. Pay all the bills in good time every time you use it. Once you establish a payment history, you'll start to become trustworthy again. But don't expect it to begin overnight. It's going to take a couple years. Plus, the liquidation stays on your credit report for 10 years so that's going to keep your win down for a while longer. You can work on getting it up though by paying bills on time and don't step into debt again. If a credit card company looks at your credit report and sees that you enjoy been applying for a bunch of different credit cards, it's close to a red flag so stop applying for a while and stick with the one card you own.
I filed Chapter 7 and it be discharged back surrounded by December. I just get a credit card, although it has fees that a ordinary card wouldn't have and it have a much smaller limit...which is angelic. I'm actually glad of that. It is to relief start repairing my credit. Ch. 7 stays on your credit report for 10 years so you are going to have problems getting credit...for home loans, credit cards, a vehicle loan, etc. I'm not sure exactly what your question is, but you're going to be considered a "unpromising risk" for a few years after filing. All you can do is start rebuilding your credit after your valise is discharged. It'll take awhile, but you'll eventually take there.
Sweetie, I be aware of your pain - we did a Chapter 7 a touch over a year ago.
Check out the link below. You don't inevitability to post there, or even bond, if you don't want to, but read everything you can. They list lots of ruin friendly places that will give credit, and they also allusion at what your credit score wants to be to get it. That instrument you won't mess your credit up by having too various inquiries..
Good luck!
Is it not dangerous to throw away your credit card receipts?
Question:
As in, is it locked from someone using them for fruad?
Answer:
Personally, I shred everything that has my signature, address, credit card numbers, anything at all that could possibly be used to identify me or anything in the region of me. I even shred junk letters if my name or address is on it and adjectives those stupid catalogs that come in the e-mail? They all own an order slip inside them next to your name and address and statement number. I pull those out and shred them too.
Purchasing a dissertation shredder is a wise move within this day and age next to all the identity raid going on.
Most credit card receipts these days with the sole purpose have the concluding 4 digits of the credit card number on them so you're probably pretty safe only tossing them in the trash. Unless within is any possibility you might need to return some item. Then you'd want the receipt.
Yes, it is protected as long as you know that your credit card company has fraud protection. If the receipts own your entire card number on them I would tear them up in the past throwing them away. But you should be fine throwing them away as most only put the ending four digits on the receipt. In adjunct for anyone to use the card number they would need the expiration date and four digit number on the wager on for online purchases and I doubt any of that information is on your receipts.
no its not safe to throw them away your best bet is to shred them. be locked shred
Since there is no standard privacy measures used on receipts, best practice to try to verbs any type of material containing sensitive information. Some general public will try to use any information possible to get money from someone else. Anyhow, a well brought-up rule of thumb is to keep even insignificant receipts for a length of time for validity checking. One time i bought gas beside my credit card and instead of sending a test transacation of $1.00 similar to usual, then accumulation the remainder of the charge minus the $1.00, they sent a test charge of $100 dollars. If you are wondering what a testing charge is or a ping, its when a merchant account holder sends a charge of $1 to engender sure the account is moving. Later in the afternoon the full details will be processed at once.
Yes. Your account number, except for the later 4 digits, are masked. I tear mine up anyway.
Statements should other be shredded.
SHRED THEM!
i dont own a credit or debit card is nearby any other process i can deposit into a activity?
Question:
Answer:

ladbrokes for example will allow you to use paypal. paypal will allow you to set up payments via direct debit from your bank rationalization. so in proposition - YES

If my company doesn't remuneration the bill can I be artificial?
Question:
Hi! A few months ago I went to a seminar that I be required to attend by my company. Apparently, they never paid their bill to the seminar family (their responsible) and now creditors are harrassing both me and my co-workers truism if they don't receive payment, my credit will be artificial. Is this possible? If my company does not pay for the seminar they required me to budge to, can this go on my credit report? Or are the creditors purely trying to scare me??
Answer:
If your company arranged you to attend , and you didnt sign anything axiom you would pay the bill, next I would not worry give or take a few it .
I would send the seminar company a memorandum , specify that your company is solely resonsible for any payments , request copies of any documentation that they have that make you responsible , and ask that they desist from contacting you further about the event .
Contact the local Better business beruea and lodge a complaint against the company.
Complain to your Boss about the situation and ask him for the companies permissible representative . Make it clear that you will not have your credit diluted by there inaction .
Anything is possible, especially if you packed out any forms with your personal information such as christen and address.
I suggest talking to your employer to determine why they are not paying the bill. Otherwise, you can own your company pay you, and after you pay the seminar society. If you do not have it within writing that the company was going to wage, and you filed out adjectives the documents to attend, you could be stuck sadly. If this happen, seriously consider why you work for a deadbeat company.
No it is not your responsibility to pay. You should contact your creditor and grant them your company's address and phone number; so they will not be after you again.
Can collection agency contact you for more money after the reward is payed stale?
Question:
Can collection agency contact you for more money after the payment is payed past its sell-by date?
I payed the delinquent sum in full on 2/14/07.
They contacted me 2/26/07 to wages daily interest charges acquire from 1/24/07 to 2/14/07. He didn't mention anything about latter payment when I be paying the entire debt on 2/14/07.
What can I do?
Answer:
You can tell them that you will merely accept contacts from the collection agency by post, that you no longer will accept them by phone. They will probably argue next to you about it, but be firm. It's easier to business deal with them printed than when they're being rude to you on the phone. Just craft sure you do deal near the problem. (I know you will!)
The way collection agencies work is that the inventive debtor gives them a percentage of money they collect. However, you don't owe the collection agency anything. You lone owe the original company you have the debt with.
If you procure behind contained by payments you may still pay them directly to the company you owe the money to, not to the collection agency if you prefer. The collection agency will say-so you can't do that, but you can. The agency doesn't want you to do that because they don't get a cut of any money rewarded directly to the company you actually owe money to.
Any interest owed would be owed to the company you originally have the debt with, not the collection agency. Find out from the company if that money is owed to them. If they say aloud you're paid contained by full, you owe nothing more.
If it turns out you owe money to the productive company in the form of interest charges, reward it directly to the original company, and ask the inventive company to verify that your bill is paid contained by full by sending a statement (they will probably just distribute you a statement the next time the monthly statements are sent out) and ask them to notify the collection agency that the bill is paid and full and collection pains should stop.
If the collection agency refuses to stop bothering you, look up "Free Legal Advice" and find some info give or take a few how to stop them from harrassing you. They will push as hard as they are allowed to push- that's how they find their money. But a lot of the stuff they do is off the record so be aware of your rights.
tell him the that the pocket money has be payed and if they want to take you to court give an account them by all funds because it will be tossed from court, if he continues to phone go to the police because immediately it becomes nuisance and they are not allowed to get on your nerves you.Document everything get name, phone numbers times when they call. They in recent times figure they can push you into paying anything they want to,most of the law as far as debt collectors can be found on the Internet.Stand your ground be polite about it and be organized for their rudeness, but like I said put everything contained by writing.
If there be collection fees, late fees, or trial fees assessed that you overlooked or chose not to pay, next they can continue collection procedures.
will Blockbuster video appropriate me to collections for a $6 postponed charge?
Question:
Blockbuster is awful they charged be a whole nother week on a one week rental surrounded by 2003 because i was an hour or so behind time returning the dvd. instead of 6 pm it was 7 pm; and i be pissed and never paid it. only just my friend told me they can take me to collections on this is this true? go to store no record of the allowance but i know i owed it but was avoiding paying it.
Answer:
No.
I would a bit not find out so I would just salary it. Then at least it will be sour your record and you can try to win it final if you really want to fight for it. Right in a minute, they legally hold the upper hand.
I feel your going to get bad without secure unit time, but don't do it again.
jk
of course not
nope. blockbuster will not transport you to a collection agency. I used to owe them $38 for a year straight. Never got a message or anything. I just have my credit pulled to buy a house and it wasn't on there. Do not verbs!
No. You can't rent from them though because it pops up if you go to equal store. You can call them and sponge them to split the fee so you'd solitary pay partially of it.
More than likely, they will not! But they can if they considered necessary to be jerks more or less it! If they have no history of the fee and you can rent from them...don't verbs about it! THey are certain for taking away the fees! :)
i own never heard of them taking any one to collections... how ever if you give them a credit card number they will and can charge it! If i was you i would in recent times pay it! I know it sucks, but its better later some stupid mark on your credit... only just in overnight case they do try to send it to collections!
they might threaten to convey it to collections, but they won't. it would cost them much more in trial fees, not to mention the fact that they get the dvd back. the best piece to do would be to pay them what u owe, and never rent from them again. Note: if u looked-for to, u could pay them one dollar a month until the set off is paid . that, by the passageway , is COMPLETELY legal. hope this help.
If they have your credit card number they may charge the behind schedule fee to it.
As a loan officer I enjoy seen cases where on earth Blockbuster has reported fines and or collections on credit reports. But I haven't see any in times gone by two years. Perhaps their new policy of charging your check or credit card automatically have paid bad for them.
Credit problems?
Question:
I would like to go back to the beginning my credit, it is very fruitless, but I am paying off adjectives my bills, and will be debt clear soon.
How do I go something like rebuilding the credit that i messed up?
I was given huge credit when i be young, I have good intentions of paying them stale, but I found myself in a situation that I have no control over, my dad got sick near cancer, and so I had to set out my job and stop payments on my credit cards, and presently 8 yrs later I am still up to my ears within debt. So now I have need of to get credit to build my existence.
Any suggestions on how to start?
credit cards? or loans? or what or how do i go around doing it?
thank you in mortgage
Answer:
Keep paying your debt off and forget just about credit cards and trying to get loans because they will lately get you into more trouble. Live on what you earn and don't gain buried with these blood thirsty loan companies and lofty interest thieves.
You can start beside a secured credit card. You put some cash on deposit beside a bank and they issue a credit card near a limit equal to the amount on deposit. Your timely payments will be reported to the credit bureaus and in that is no problem to qualify.
Once you are established that way, department store and grease company cards are easy to qualify for.
I am hoping you atleast hold an account at a bank(thats what the bank call a relationship-you obligation to work on that relationship)if you dont , go to a dune and talk to some one in the region of your credit and some creative suggestions on how to get your credit put a bet on,the banks are within for you , a good ridge will give you thinking on how to get fund on the right track-a good ridge will help you!!
I would try to draw from 2 credit cards, either secured or unsecured to build a fresh credit history. Just hang on to your balances underneath 50% of your total credit lines (balances under 50% increases your credit rating) and engineer on time monthly payments.
Yes at hand are other options.

What is a credit protection plan?
Question:
Every month I'm charged for credit protection plan for my credit card. What does it cover? Is it worth it?
Answer:
Call the credit card company and tell them you don't want it. It's instrument to expensive for what you get.
It covers the payments surrounded by case you are injured or something and can't engineer them but assuming you are working, you probably have some sort of disability coverage anyway.
It just covers your minimum payments in shield if you are disabled or handicapped for a few months. No, it is not worth it at all.

What are the difference between Debit action and credit action ? please endow with me answer near simple examples?
Question:
Answer:
Debit notes let somebody know you the money is going out, credit, it's coming in.
If what you mind is when you wages with you ATM card, the difference is when you settle up by using the debit is because what you just buy is salaried right away by using the money do you have on the mound.
but if you paid beside the card using it like credit card the price of the product is rewarded and after some time the money is taken from the bank rationalization.
Paying sour credit card?
Question:
When I first got a credit card, I go buck wild and spent to unbroken $2000 limit.
Now, after ignore it and not being almost to pay for so long, my total amount due is approx. $3500.
I've very soon saved over $2000, and i be wondering if the company, Citibank, would let me retribution the premium, and not the interests and fees, as I cannot afford all of it. Not even to receive the monthly payments (which have stopped). Thank you.
Answer:
They may be inclined to work something out with you. But I expect that they will want a touch more than the original $2000. They may be of a mind to settle for $2500 if you offer it adjectives at once. But you may have to do a bit of negotiate. For example start with an proposition of $1800 and see what they say. A lot will depend on how long the balace have been outstanding.
Sorry, your expenditure will go to interest first, and principal when interest have been rewarded.
It is their card, and their rules, and they don't care nearly your problems, they only carefulness about getting your money, and the more interest, the better profits for them.
You can telephone them and negotiate, we have done that. But the block is, the part you don't repay, you will get a 1099-C subsequent year and will have to report it on your income taxes as income.
deeply bad. call upon citibank and try to negotiate a settlement. get everything surrounded by writing. otherwise, they'll take what you impart and sell the remaining debt.and you'll never obtain rid of this.
There's only one opening to find out. Call them. Be up front. Ask them what they can and can't do in a situation similar to this.
You'll do better if you ask to speak with a supervisor right away or for a verbs to the retention department. That will get you to someone beside better knowledge and more authority compared to the front-line reps who answer the phone.
Good luck!
I cannot speak FOR SURE nearly Citibank policies, but here is what I would suggest: Call their customer service and ask to speak to their Credit team (they are the ones that dispatch you to Collections if NO payment is made) and explain your situation. They (the Credit team) own the option of reducing your minimum payments or waive some of the fees whereas customer service likely does not. The worst armour scenario is they say "no" so you can at most minuscule prepare yourself for the fallout.
I have have this happen to myself and once it get into collections they are usually willing to negotiate a payoff. I would definitly call them and ask them what your option are and if they would be willing to pocket the $2000.
You owe $3500.
So pay them $3500.
I don't conjecture they will but by paying them the 2000, you will then bring down your monthly allowance. You could also swap to another lender or call citibank I'm sure they may do you a business if they thought they were going to loose your custom.
goodluck!
Call Citibank and ask for a arranger, they are the only ones near the power to make a judgment. Get everything in writing. Make sure that they report your justification as "Paid in full". "Not Settled for smaller amount than full amount". Get that in writing previously you pay.
Your probability are good.
Your best bet is to phone up Citibank and ask for the dispute dept. and explain to them exactly as you did here and they will be happy to cut down your debt and acquire whatever they can out of you as instead of losing the entire amount they would be capable of get support more than half. Make sure you acquire it in writing and that your credit report is updated near that info.
You're best bet would be to call and ask them to adopt the $2000 as a settlement and consider the debt paid surrounded by full. If they do this, you're account will probably be forever closed.
Otherwise, the money paid usually going to interest and fees first and after principle. As long as you have a set off, interest and fees will just preserve adding up. You're right to want to settle it off and if nought else, send surrounded by the $2,000 and start making the minimum (about $45/month) (or more if you can) payments until it's paid.
You can fuse a debt settlement company who will negotiate with the citibank and arrange a minimum monthly compensation plan with NO interest rates.
You can be out of debt in 12 months if you could make monthly payments.
Check out this company

When a parent dies contained by your relatives and they own departed some bills approaching credit cards is the loved ones responsible?
Question:
Can those bills then be put on your credit journal from the deceased ancestral member? Can the relatives lose what they have due to what the relative gone behind? What if they don't hold the money to pay it rear legs? I know if it's your husband or wife then your automatically responsible, but if it's one of your parents what happen?
Answer:
It is the legal duty of the executor of the will to ensure that bills are compensated from the estate of the deceased. If any creditors can prove in that was satisfactory money to do so,but you didn't pay, afterwards you would be in trouble. If in that just wasn't adequate money left to cover any unpaid bills, very well, that's the end of it. The individual way you would be required to wage was if you be a joint card holder.
They can steal anything of value he or she gone behind similar to homes, vehicles, or anything of pro to pay them sour. If they left money contained by the bank they can appropriate it from the paper trail even if you be to withdraw it and spend it. They can find out who took the money and if it be you, they can make you responsible for the debt. Unfortunately it sometimes help to get a advocate to help within these cases because there are abiding things they can't touch but they can lie approaching a dog to you on the phone to get you to rate. Check for any life insurance policies or if called for, sell a vehicle to relief pay them rotten. Bush allowed the credit card companies with the power of command nearly to collect money.
I doubt it. They might have end in if you comingle your money with theirs. Joint money account and such.
No. Only someone timetabled on an account is responsible for an side.
You have made some fruitless assumptions. I don't know how to say this other, but your comments about a character being responsible for a debt of the spouse is completly wrong. Not even close to correct. I come up with you need to hope some expert advice.
I deliberate that technically the estate of a decesed person is responsible for paying the bills, but if the decesed have no money then in that is no money to pay. Send adjectives creditors a copy of the decesed death licence. They will probably just close the statement and write it off.
In Australia it depends on whose moniker the bills are in.
If one parent dies and the other is still living and the bills (credit card, etc) are one and only in the mark of the deceased afterwards no, the living partner is NOT liable. How-ever, if the bill is in BOTH name, then yes they are responsible for the bill.
The child/children of the parent are NOT responsible for any outstanding bill EXCEPT where on earth the child was guarantor for the loan/credit card or collateral be used in which suitcase either the bill is salaried in full, or the anything was used as collateral is sold to settle up off the remaining debt.
If the credit card holder is the simply one on the account, the creditor can shift after the estate to pay the bills but if the estate doesn't cover the bills, they can't move about after other family member.
they become a debtor like any other inhabitants she owes money to. If you could get out of debt by dying, I'd borrow 10 million bucks spend it supply it to my family after I'd die. It ain't that simple sorry. All debtors go on a document to be paid by the will. Remember she owns partly the family home too. They will come after that believe me.
I believe it's the baggage that the estate left is liable to be forced to retribution off any bills (not including time insurance) but beyond what is left by the departed, the children are not responsible. I had a friend who's mother died, she have no money to leave except a natural life insurance policy. A credit card company tried to get my friend to wage off a somewhat large bill, but they couldn't force it. Life insurance does not count as a part of the pack of the estate. Creditors can certainly ask that bills be rewarded off when at hand is no estate but they can't legally force the issue.
To the extent of the assets available, the estate is responsible for those debts. You, or anyone else contained by the family, is not.
That happen when my dad died. They tried to pressure me to pay it but since he have no estate and no money to be left to his family connections, i did not pay. I told them to put it his credit report! They call a few more times but they got the point
How to correct a typo contained by credit offer?
Question:
I am receiving credit card offer for last 8 years beside a typo in the dub. Somebody has messed up while copying my christen and now this entity is not going away. How I can correct it? I cannot seem to achieve a human being at the rear the automated systems of credit reporting agencies.
The way I am sent offer, my first and middle name have been merged and mis-spelled. There canot be anybody next to such a weird describe but I continue to achieve junk. Any design where to start from?
Thanks!
Answer:
The typo comes from your credit directory with one of the three bureaus. At one point within time or another, someone ran your credit and incorrectly input your cross. The best way to stop these credit offer is to go to www.opt-outprescreen.com and submit your heading there- stating that you want these prescreened offers to stop. In any event, if you want to apply for any of these offers, when submitting the application, here is usually a spot to make corrections on the information they own on their file. Hope this help!!
Also, have you see a copy of your credit report? you can get a free one from adjectives three bureaus annually. The website to get this at is www.annualcreditreport.com. Once you obtain your report, you can figure out which bureau have the spelling incorrect and dispute it on their online form.. This also may help.
AprilD
Continue to shred. If someone tries to use your identity, this mishap may come within handy. Otherwise, ignore.
April D have it mostly correct. Except the web site to opt out of the pre eyeshade offers is http://www.optoutprescreen.com (without the dash).
Has anybody ever used a credit repair company?
Question:
In particular a company call credit for all or any other repair company. They articulate they can remove bad credit from your database mainly because most of the nouns companys dont keep great documentation thus unable to provide proof so you can obtain items removed.
Answer:
I HAVE. And I would say that they CAN be worth using contained by the right circumstances. When I started using a credit repair firm, my credit scores be all surrounded by the low to mid 500's. After about 6 months of their service, I enhanced my TransUnion and Equifax scores almost 100 points (Now surrounded by the 650 - 670 range). The MAJOR DRAWBACK was that Experian refuse to take any of their disputes and kept sending me junk mail explaining how I could send such packages on my own. After 4 of these letters I wised up and started the process on my own.
So I surmise for MOST people, you will expected not see enough benefit to maintain the cost (I paid in the order of $260 in all). I can vote, that since using them I have gone from a point where on earth no one be granting me any credit to respectable credit worthiness. My experian scores still slop under 600 so here is always a 33% accidental I'll get denied credit.
Final Advice: If you are surrounded by a situation in which adjectives 3 of your scores crash under 570 and you are in a year from a major credit purchase (Home, Car, etc.) afterwards give the firms a try for 6 months. Particularly if you surface you don't have the time and mercy to do this on your own. If your TU and EQ scores are lower than your EX evaluation - than even better! If you do not fall into the above situation - Hold on to your money. Keep within mind, with persistance you can other do what these firms do on your own.
BS. Don't fall for it.
nope
single you can do that con con con con con
they can't and it'll cost you money you probably don't have to get going with...you can 'repair' your own credit by transferring balance or negotiating next to your credit card companies for a payment rota.. it takes work but don't crash down into that garbage they're crooks!
These companies can acquire derogatory items removed from your credit reports only if those items are approximate.
Have you examined your credit reports? If not, that's your first step. You can get your reports free at annualcreditreport.com. (Don't compensate for them or sign up for a service.)
If you know that there are imprecise items on your reports, then a credit repair company may know how to help remove them successfully, but you can also do it on your own.
If there are derogatory items that are accurate, afterwards no one can back. You just hold to wait for them to roll stale after seven years.
What they do is they dispute every item in your credit report. This have the effect of temporarily making your credit report look a lot better because the companies enjoy to remove it while it is in dispute. But after the companies come back next to proof that their reporting was correct and it go right back onto your credit report (and the credit repair company already have your money).
Think about it this way--have you ever forgotten give or take a few someone who owes you money? No. And neither have financial institutions--and they hold on to fantastic records, regardless of what a company that's trying to market you something says.
You're better sour putting the money you'd pay the credit repair company towards the debt that you owe.
no
The rest of these guys are pretty much correct. Unless the remark have some sort of fallacy or inconsistency, it won't be removed. The credit repair companies bet on the hope they will mess up and remove the remark. Like the one guy said, when someone owes you money, they rememberthese creditors keep hold of records, whether they are 100% accurate is another story..Anyhow, if you are falling aft, maybe freshly settle your debt..Don't waste your money on credit repair. If your credit isnt too doomed to failure and you don't want to make it worse...muddle through your money and pay past its sell-by date your debt as best you can.
No one can remove information unless you can prove it is false and then you almost own to be able to hoof it on water and turn dampen into wine to get it rotten. “OR” You hire someone to force the credit bureaus to go support to each item and hold it re-verified. The system allows credit bureaus to accept anything as true whether it is or not but when it comes time for you to prove it is wrong you own to jump through the hoops. There is a "Law firm" That specializes within doing this. I would use them because believe me, the credit bureaus pay attention to something from an attorney while they can usually look right through stuff from most of these agencies. The firm that I know, and have referred various clients to, is Bradley Ross Law, Bismarck, North Dakota 701-355-0123. And, “no”, I have no affiliation beside or interest in this firm. I hope this help.
You have to be suspicious of the claims that many companies create. I haven't personally used them, but my sister go with the below company and seem to be pleased with the results
