Credit Questions and Answers

How much revolving credit?

Question:
I've never gotten a real straight answer on this so I want to see what everyone think. Assuming I have 3 credit cards and let's voice I make $50,000 a year(gross) and I hold: abover average credit, no debt and use credit for everyday purchases and pay them rotten each month. How much revolving credit should someone hold? I've never heard of a ratio to be exact used, only that have an excess of accounts may damage your credit for a while (but even that has decrease in the concluding few years). How much revolving credit should someone have?

Answer:
The intention you have never gotten a straight answer is simply that within isn't a ratio. Open revolving credit has an affect on your credit rack up based on AVAILABLE credit, not your balance... When you apply for a loan, credit managers look at how much credit you hold access to currently and gage rick from that. I personally am not a disciple of revolving credit accounts period, currency is still, and will always be king.

The single ratios most relations work off of are percentage for housing, transportation, food, entertainment, retirement/savings, etc.

My advice, close two of the revolving accounts, hold on to only the one that have the best interest rate and lowest fees... Negotiate with adjectives three before closing any of them. Only have one open commentary and having your credit show you closed the other two shows responsibility near your credit.

Just a thought, hope it helps.

Question:
I have a debt collector calling me and it lead to harrassment. I have made arrangements to pay packet off the article but it doesn't meet their "time line" . They report to me things like conceivably I should file bankrupcy, you citizens that don't pay are sad, or get a profession. I am a full time student and work part-time I'm tired of them calling me because i recount them what i can do as far as payment and they say aloud "we can't except that". What should I do? I told them I would pay the description off contained by August isn't this fair ample?

Answer:
Do not send a full stop and desist. If you do you leave them lone two choices - sue you or sell the debt.

If you have not sent a debt validation letter all the same, you should before you start chitchat about paying them. Make sure the amount they are requesting is the legally recognized amount, that they have a legitimate right to collect that debt, etc., etc., etc.

Include in your reminder:

I am requesting that no telephone contact be made from you to my home or place of business as it is inconvenient to me. All adjectives communications from you must be made by USPS.

That is a limited C&D, it still give them the right to contact you but only by messages.

Everything you send to them should be sent certified letters return receipt. Keep copies of everything - papertrail.

You might click on my profile and do some reading within the links I have provided - to the FDCPA, FCRA, etc.

Learn your rights and swot up how to use them.
Get call display, or telephone call blocking on your telephone and don't answer incoming call that you don't recognize the number. An answering gadget would take legal calls and you could pick up, if you considered necessary to talk.
This is taken from the FTC website:

A collector may contact you surrounded by person, by correspondence, telephone, telegram, or fax. However, a debt collector may not contact you at inconvenient times or places, such as earlier 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m., unless you agree. Can you stop a debt collector from contacting you?
You can stop a debt collector from contacting you by writing a reminder to the collector telling them to stop. Creidtors won't stop calling.HELP!?

Question:
My husband and I recently fell on some HARD TIMES!! We own 3 kids a mortgage 2 car payments. etc. Recently we have a family business that required a LOT of MONEY!! Problem is we are so far in dept very soon that the credit card payments have not be sent out the past few months and they are starting to ring REGULARLY!! Discover card calls at lowest 6 times a day than the others are calling too!! What can we do to return with them to stop calling!! I claimed bankruptcy roughly speaking 4 years ago before we be married so we are afraid that he won't be able to claim or whateverwe do not want to lose the house!
q1). how to grasp them to stop calling!!

q2). can he file liquidation without them going after me for the portion of the debts incurred after the marital (my name is NOT ON ANYTHING specifically past due) Only his..

Q3). will any of them adopt a settlement but to be paid monthly not contained by one lump sum? ( we can literally only afford roughly 30-50 each a month) and their are 5!!

Answer:
1--depending on how far along your debt is, you can discontinue them from all call via written communication only--send them a letter cease them from calling you and stating that you want only correspondence contained by writing. if they are or begin to (which they will) christen your employer you may cease them out loud.
2--depending on where you live his debts may be considered yours as resourcefully. certain states, such as AZ, CA, NM, TX etc...are community property states, aim everything each of you owns or owes is shared. this applies whether your baptize is on it or notand, in skin you arent aware, the bankruptcy law have only just changed and it is much harder to file.
3--most companies will not adopt settlements in more than one grant, but some will split it between, 2, 3 or 6 paymentsthis all depends what stage these debts are atalso depends, unsurprisingly, on the size of debts. 30-50 dollars a month is more reasonable on a debt that is to say 1000.00 versus something that is 6k...
---my advice---it can be difficult to traffic with collection agencies; they can be rude and pushy and insulting...try to remember it is their charge and a lot of those they deal beside are deadbeats who continually lie and cause excuses because they wont ever pay their bill. however, tough times fall over on all of us. the unlucky part is that it doesn't event what happened because a endorsed document was signed which agrees the debt will be salaried on a regular basisso...that is the perspective they are coming from. typically, companies will settle debts out from 95 down to 50 percent of the total debt owed. it depends on abundantly of factors.
---are u current on your mortage? is here equity in your property? could you refi?
---can anyone possibly back you? best to try and settle out these accounts before they find too far.
---if you talk to debt collectors and they are describing you that you have to settle more than 50 dollars a month, send it surrounded by anyway. they will tend to say they wont adopt anything other than X amount... at smallest then here is payment on the tale...it is not necessarily that important at this point that you payment the min. monthly payments, but that there is something person put toward the account.
---good luck to you!
if you want to know law on collection acts---search yahoo for the FDCPA (fair debt collections practices act)--the more knowledgeable you give the impression of being, the better off you will be...
1. Pay the house data first. Everything else is secondary. Credit cards are ultimate on the payment priority.

2. Tell the debt tourist, civilly, that you are aware of the problem and you are working to resolve the issue. You caould, either
a) enlighten them you had a household emergency and that you'd like to work out a gift plan - and then do so, or
b) if they are a bunch of a-holes, narrate them, civilly, that they are no longer to call you and adjectives correspondence must be through the mail. The collector is legitimately obliged to follow this direct.

If the collector does NOT stop harassing you , you have decriminalized remedies on the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The Creditor may not call yo uat work if you hold notified them that they may not give the name there. They may not give the name your neighbors and friends and tell them of your debt. KNOW your rights.

3) Seek a durable solution. You will either entail to slowly pay bad your debts or bring in more money. Hiding make matters worse. My parents enjoy been hiding for 25 years. I can't narrate them there's another way.
you could any call one of those debt consolidation places or confer to the creditors and let them know whats be going on and see if you can work out some sort of payment plan. i know how you touch. my husband and i are in a similar situation. we have to sell our house, luckily my best friend freshly got divorced and she have plenty of room at her house and needed help too. appropriate luck.
You may also look out for an option to work online to construct extra cash contained by your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would approaching to share a link where on earth you can make $600-$1500 within a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details call on
http://ommc.blogspot.com
I will publish few more genuine site within couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home base online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to clear initial money. never pay money to any such site.)
1) You answer 1 nickname request their mailing address and communication a letter unfolding them you do not wish to receive beckon neither @ home nor @ work. They will take your number of the system. It's the tenet If they call again (which I don't ruminate they will) first thing you detail them is : "This call it's individual recorded if you want to verbs said yes" you will hear a click!

2) If your name is not on the debt due to the Privacy Act they shouldn't be disclosing any information to you. If they ever ask you if you own knowledge of the debt lately say NO. They will enjoy to stop asking anything else to you regarding the debt.

3) Yes, you can settle for 12 payments not adjectives creditors. A bank debt stays at the wall for 6 months after that it will be" charged off" and sold to a collection agency. Before they sell the tale they will try to recuperate some money i.e. when you can settle 12 months payments. You can also go to a Debt Consolidation program similar to Consumer Credit Counseling.
Pay the house, food, utlities in full first.

If you can individual pay $30 - $50 a month to respectively, send them that. If it's not the minimum sum, so what? If they call and complain at you, relate them you sent what you can afford and that's all they'll return with. The key to stopping the call is to pay something and bargain to them once. You don't have to listen to them rant and rave. Just vote "I sent you what I can afford. I'll send you more when I catch the next statement. Good bye." And hang up up. They only send for so many times contained by a day when they can't go and get a hold of you. You don't have to listen to them beyond that.

Sell the cars and grasp two really cheap cars that will get you from point A to point B beside cash. Use the difference to discharge down some of your bills. (I drove two pieces of crap at two different times so we could use the cash for other things.) Even if you don't draw from any extra money out of the cars, at least you'll do away with two payments right away.

If he files, they will probably include you depending on your state. Most states are 50-50 as far as marital property (and debt) go.

Budget your money very discreetly. Cut out everything beyond house, food and utlities. You won't go out at adjectives or have much fun. Bankrupcty is singular a temporary heating pad.
Look, don't panic!

Try to produce payment arrangements near them as soon as possible, try to show the effort, brand minimum payments and anything extra try to pay towards the debt. Do not database bankruptcy, ever!! Ur husband requirements to make reward arrangements and stick to it, don't worry it's okay. The more physical exertion you show the better u will be. U and ur husband need to sit down and amount everything out. Best wishes and God will show u the way.

Adding positive results to a credit report?

Question:
I have several loans reported to TransUnion but not Experian or Equifax. How can I bring these reported to Experian or Equifax. I contacted the bank and be told TransUnion should report to the other two. Is this true? If not how can I personally carry the info added. If needed, I'm willing to reimburse a small fee. Although, I'm guessing I can do it for free. Isn't this considered undue reporting practices?

Answer:
Credit bureaus don't typically report to other bureaus because of their competitive/business natures. I'd ask your lenders to report to the other credit bureaus as very well.
Any company has the right to report or not report your portrayal to your credit. And if they choose to, they can choose which Credit Bureau to report to. It is thier choice. It costs lenders money to credit report and smaller lenders may choose to credit report on one or none of the Credit Bureau's. It is just the passageway it is.

Looking for some debt give support to...?

Question:
I have rather bit of debt I would like to go and get help beside... it totals up to be around $3500.00 (student loan, credit card, etc)... I am just looking for a well-mannered place to go to as far as debt consolidation loans or something approaching that? Any advice?

Answer:
I'd avoid consolidating the student loans along near the credit card debt... interest from student loans is tax deductible and you commonly can't get out of it through collapse.
If its anything like the UK, avoid them - they're from time to time as good as they first appear.

Can you grasp a 0% credit card? Or, since it's only $3500, wage it off slowly?
In copious cases, you would not qualify for debt consolidation. And you're not going to find a lower interest rate than you have on that student loan. $3500 is an extremely low amount of debt to hold and is way more jammy to handle.

I would suggest you look into a personal signature loan (unsecured; loan is guaranteed by a short time ago your signature) just to money off the credit card. Guarantee you will find a lower interest rate in that. But leave the student loan alone.
u should do it your self, wages the min or more if u can and soon u will be debt free
There's some advice on dealing near student loan debt on this site: http://www.joblessncollege.com/personalf...

Generally, these loans require collateral that can be any your home or some costly property. But sometimes, you can get these loans as an unsecured personal loan. But they charge big interest rates.

When going for a debt consolidation loan, you should consider some important factor. They are: cost of taking the loan, the annual percentage rate (APR), period of the loan, and the total amount borrowed. Ensure that the debt consolidation loan charges a lower interest rate than the rate for your current loans. Interest rates are usually settled by factors close to loan amount, loan terms, and personal details.

If the repayment time of debt consolidation loan is longer, you can end up paying profoundly more in interest. This make it vital to compare the interest rates and repayment period of various lenders. Debt consolidation calculators offered by assorted financial organizations can be used to complete the same.

How does 3 sunshine behind schedule clearance affect my credit gain?

Question:

Answer:
As a general rule, it shouldn't affect your rack up at all. Unless the credit grantor reports it to the credit bureaus. But next he has to report it as 30 days behind schedule as a minimum. Well, that is incorrect, since it is merely 3 days late. So they tend to stay away from doing that.

If you hold any questions in relation to credit issues, you may email me at nebula7693@yahoo.com
Depends on the creditor. Some may say that your bill is due on the 18th and truly have an more grace period that may protect you from one called 'late.' Plus it could be base on business days (M-F) which means that weekends work within your favor.

Your creditor report generally get messy when you have 30 morning lates and higher.
A expenditure made three days after the due date is not considered a delinquent account. For installment loans, such your sports car payment, you enjoy to be 30 days late to be considered delinquent and thus reported to the credit reporting agencies. For revolving credit, such as credit cards, you own to be 2 cycles past due, which is almost 60 days since you're account is reported as delinquent.
how postponed? ifs its more than 3 months, it will hurt your score.
------------------------------...
http://www.bestcreditrates.web
If you're talking roughly speaking being 3 days behind schedule on a credit card payment it won't effect your credit mark. Credit card companies don't have to report a delinquent report to your credit bureau until you are what is considered "30 days late" to them...in actual expressions of your bill this would mean when you are 2 months astern on payments.
usually not. most creditor report 30 days check their policies and report.

Can a collections agency contact line near unlisted phone #s who are surrounded by no approach connected to the loan. Legal?

Question:
I was behind time with a loan transmittal, of which there are one and only two left. Collections dept have contacted my family member, whose phone numbers are not even listed & are contained by no way what-so-ever connected to the loan. Is this process decriminalized? If not, what are my options?

Answer:
yes they can phone call but only quit name and number, if they step on and tell more info. They can be sued. Many times they will detail family member they are from the IRS, attorneys or other b.s. and if they are portraying someone other who they are, you can sue for 1k each time. If it really get to you with this see a attorney, as for the easy-going man naming you a deadbeat is a waste of space on RunEye.com. this party was seeking a answer not to be call names.
They do what they can to collect the money.
This is not allowed, and you should first call the company and make clear to them they can't call them, and they should comply beside your wishes. Now if it is a third party this is true. But let's read aloud your bank is calling, they can do what they want, but should not bother relatives. If this is occurring, telephone your attorney general consumer protection agency and complain. Keep paperwork too.
The process is not legal if they are recitation your relatives about the disposition of the call and or your debt. That is not allowed at all.
If it continues, homily to an attorney.
The process is legal. They can ring up friends, family, etc. as long as they are not trying to vend something.
STOP BEING A DEADBEAT AND PAY YOUR BILL!! Your family will appreciate you for it.
When you teem out credit applications they usually ask for a relatives name and number. So if their name and numbers are put on the application they can call.

So if they are given this information, later yes they can contact that relative. They can only ask if you hold knowledge of the relatives whereabouts and if you can contact them and own them call the collection agency or supply the agency a number to contact them.

Besides if it was singular two payments, what seems to be the problem? Why did you quit paying beside only two payments to jump?

Had cosigner on 2001 purchase of vehicle. I file bk. What can the cosigner do?

Question:
In Jan 2001, at the age of 23, I purchased a car. At the time, I have an excellent job and massively good credit. I did not involve a cosigner for this loan. The dealer suggested count my boyfriend to the loan to help build his credit. Well, a year latter, for medical reasons, I quit my opening. The car be repoed and I filed bk.
For the following reason, I don't why the bank allowed this...
Bf did not own a job at the time and surrounded by 2000 only made $923.
He have absolutely no credit.
My ask, can the collection agency come after him for the full amount of the loan due or only for what the ridge did not recover during the auction.
Next year will be 7 years, will it come sour of his credit report in January when we purchased the vehicle or when it was repoed?
Has anyone ever be in this situation and the mound removed it from their credit report.
Due to my mistake he is unable to get hold of any credit. We were unqualified to get the money to draw from the car fund.
Yes I made a mistake but I have bookish!

Answer:
Absolutely! He cosigned, so he is now responsible for the allowance of this car loan. A cosigner is a backup to the ridge if the original lon holder default on the payments. If he had fruitless credit then, he should enjoy never been competent to co sign for you. Unfortunately, he is going down with you. Sorry.
They will come after both of you for the money that be not recovered in the auction. You may be past its sell-by date the hook if it was included within your bankruptcy, but he is still responsible. It will come past its sell-by date his credit report 7 years after it was reported as a desperate debt.
nothing comes stale your credit report in 7 years, it stays forever. a guard will always know everything from your history. its a misconception going on for the 7 years thing. if he cosigned next to you he is just as responsible as you are, if you do not own money they will come after him. sounds like you are surrounded by a mess, credit is one thing that can totally trade name or break you and its a shame this happened. but you will freshly have to try to rest, its going to take some time. virtuous luck.
If you filed BK and the co-signer did not, consequently the co-signer is legally obligated to the loan. He may not even sue you for the money if it be discharged in Bankruptcy court. The BK will be on your credit report for 10 years from the date it be discharged. The co-signer will have it removed contained by 7 years. Good thing is that if it have been more than six years already, the lender most promising id bygone the statute of limitation to sue the co-signer for the money. He only just has to keep on it out now for it to be removed frm his credit report.
Since you file B.K. you are off the hook, your boyfriend however is not. As the co-signer on the loan , he is responsible for paying it if you do not. Therefore the lender will come after him for the remaining harmonize.

This will result in collection stir then court after judgment. After that they can garnishing his wages, attach bank accounts and profile liens on any property he may have.

Your boyfriend is screwed gratitude to you.

The loan will come off 7-years after the discharge date of your B.K., but the collections will verbs for another 7-years and if a judgment is issued, it can remain on his credit for up to 20-years.

Statute or no, they will verbs to try and get their money, even as long as 20 years after that. DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY TO THEM, as this contstitutes acknowlegment of the debt and nullifies the statute. Believe me, I know.
excess letters are single to bother you. Here in the U.S.A. adjectives we have to do is stir to the post office and inform them to stop delivering e-mail from a certain company. pause of annoyiances.
What creditors do to mess with your credit history is discharge lets influence a $100.00 dollar debt (USA) is sent to credit bureau collections they tack on fee $30.00 so immediately it shows as $130.00, sold to the next agency who tack on $40 shows as $170.00 meanwhile all those amounts are showing as historic due... and it grows year after year. where on earth on my master card are my credit card number and card ID numbers located?

Question:
i need these numbers to register on ebay but i cant locate them

Answer:
The credit card number is stamped on the front and appears as raised numbers within the plastic. It is generally 16 digits - four groups of four. The card designation number is usually printed in ink, is 3 or 4 digits, and is on the support on or near the signature strip. In some cases, the final 3 or 4 digits of the card number are printed on the back subsequent to the ID number, but they are not actually sector of the ID number.
credit card number - raised number on front

card permit numbers - last set of numbers printed on rear legs
If you have the card within hand it should be pretty simple to integer out. Sounds like a stolen statement to me.

Can i sue for false credit reporting.?

Question:
I have worked tangible hard surrounded by keeping my credit clean. i belong to a credit monitoring service, i hold 1 company who keeps putting a unpaid bill on my credit report, i enjoy disputed this 3 times over the past year and adjectives three buraeu, have deamed this debt not to be mine. This company is putting it on my credit report by identify and not by Social Security # i Pulled my report up this month and it is back can i sue the company for faulse reporting.

Answer:
I would write a complaint to your states Attorney Generals Office. Usually this can be done right online from the webpage. You may own a lawsuit if:

1. You can prove (paperwork) that the debt was never yours.
2. If this anyone on your credit report has cause you to not be accepted for a loan.
3. If you can prove that the company have broken any Laws of the "Fair Credit Reporting Act"

Once you file a complaint beside the Attorney Generals Office, they will issue you a letter notifiting you that they enjoy recieved your complaint and they will investigate the matter. At which point, the A.G. will consequently notify the accused gathering of your complaint and they will have 30 days to respond. If the A.G. deem that that company has violated your rights, they could inisiate a lawsuit on your behalf at no charge to you.
name them up and tell them to stop putting it on your credit report or u will sue them..
unhappily a lot of companies don't listen until you mention the word advocate and suing. maybe you can start beside a suprivisors suprivisor and work your way up until it get resolved and use those two words.
Sure you can sue them, but it can be expensive. There are no guarantees with a lawsuit any.

If you have not disputed it by memo, then that may be your best alternative. Credit bureaus staff these positions with inferior personnel that are expected to process massive amounts of disputes within a short period of time. Therefore, your communication should be written on a third grade reading height, and it should show in section exactly what your credit report says on the item, and exactly what dealing should be taken. In your case, you want the item delete permanently.

Be advise that the collector is the one that is still reporting erroneous information. If you hold it well documented, next feel free to sue them for violate your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
If you've disputed the information beside the bureau and enough time's passed that they've contracted that it's a legitimate charge, you will stipulation to have them attach a information from you explaining that the bill is not yours. I'm surprised that they aren't contacting YOU about the debt. Odds are that it's for someone else beside the same term. There are a lot of errors similar to this nowadays, I'm afraid.
bid them ,n say stop to put on ur credit

Which bank issue credit cards to undocumentated immigrant?

Question:
I have a Bank Of America Visa card and intend to stop it due to reports the bank is issuing credits cards to undocumented (i.e "illegal") immigrant. But I want to know what other banks are following a similar policy so I don't switch to another hill following a similar practice.

Answer:
I think well fago, citibank do it
please rememebr that bank of america is purely not handing their
credit cards out willy nilly! the customer MUST ALREADY HAVE A
an checking information for 3 months before they could even capture
a credit card..
Bank of America is the only one I hold heard of so far. When the rule doesn't stop them, more will probably follow suit. I'm canceling ALL my credit cards anyway. If my bank starts to issue cards to prearranged illegals, I will probably close ALL my accounts.
